command prompt, Kernel is stuck and wont flash - Sprint HTC One (M7)

Anyone know the command I type into search to reboot my HTC One. Trying to flash a kernel, the flash is at zero after 45 minutes, and I cant get into recovery

Do you have access to the boot loader? If so put it into fastboot and run "fastboot reboot". Does holding down the power button do anything for you?

none
I finally remembered the command
ADB reboot recovery.
I don't know what the deal is with that kernel getting stuck, I wont mess with that kernel again

[Q] Problem Power Button Bootloder??

Hi everyone! My nexus one's power button doesn't work, but i use without problems for a long time, because i installed a ROM for trackball wake and turn on quit the batery for many times, so any problem.. Now the problem is that i need enter to bootloder for install a new ROM, because I wipe all data! But is impossible without the power button key, i try everthing! What can do? Thanks!!
Do you have USB debugging enabled?
In that case - "adb reboot recovery" will reboot you into recovery without the need to get into bootloader.
In case you don't, but you have unlocked bootloader - you can download the recovery image to your HD, rename it to recovery.img and just execute "fastboot boot recovery.img".

How do this? If my phone, power button malfuntion, and can´t enter to bootloder.. Thanks
Pull the battery, and hold the trackball while re-inserting the battery. That will get you to the bootloader fastboot screen (keep trying, it may not work the first time).
Once in bootloader, hook up to your pc, and use fastboot from the pc to unlock the bootloader (fastboot oem unlock), then use top boot into recovery (fastboot boot recovery.img). You will need a recovery.img file in your sdk tools folder...
Recovery uses trackball for navigation...

Ur god men!!! But have the same problem, need power button key to continue the process..
Where are you stuck?
Sent from my Nexus One using XDA App
In the fastboot oem unlock, "press the volume up/down to select yes or no. Then press the power button to continue."
Sorry dude, it's that long since I'd done this, I'd forgotten about that...
Not sure what your options are now...
Have you tried passimg to get a working system?

MMMM, no.. Can I, install a recovery or flash my phone without unlock the bootloder? Or get root? Thanks!
Yes!
Follow this guide for unlock/restore, using the passimg method and FRG33 (link located on the word "here" on step 2):

[Q] S7 won't boot into recovery

I have a S7 that is an X rev and it only has one camera on it and it has a different ID than the current streak 7s, so I can't apply the update that tmobile put out.
So I rooted the S7 and ran ROM MANAGER and it insists that the clockworkmod is installed correctly, but I can't reboot into recovery from that program (I don't think it works on s7 anyway) nor can I do it with the volume+ and power. (All that does is to boot into android)
The fastboot seems to work fine, so is there a way that I can push one of the .ZIP file ROMs using fastboot? I was thinking the "Dell Streak 2.2.2 update with FULL ROOT" would be a good one to try, but there are many .img files in the zip file and when I try fastboot update, I get the following errors:
archive does not contain 'android-info.txt'
archive does not contain 'android-product.txt'
error: update package has no android-info.txt or android-product.txt
I know that the following lines will work, but there isn't a system.img in the .zip file.
$fastboot flash boot boot.img
$fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
$fastboot flash system system.img
Thanks
Maj
You cant use regular fastboot commands its something like "fastboot -l 0413e blah blah search my threads for "how to flash stock img. " at the bottom of first post you will see fastboot help link

Hey thatruth I've never used fastboot -iowhatever. All my fastboot cmds are fastboot (cmd) (dir) (file). Op so when holding +volume and power it doesn't put you in the bootloader? Your device may not work with cwr. Being a X device. And op are you using ubuntu/linux?
Sent from a signal
to get into cwr you have to hold vol and power. Then at the android menu select option 2 update.pkg. it will then boot into recovery
you can also reboot into recovery via adb
adb reboot recovery

I have not found a way to get into recovery. Using adb, fastboot, reboot into recovery options, and attempting vol+ and power, just boots straight into android. It says "cold-booting linux" and boots into android. It seems as if there isn't a real partition to do that, so I somehow need to dump an image onto the s7 so that it will have all of these partitions.
I have a Droid Incredible in which I've hacked to death, so I know how to get into the other menus, they just don't appear to be there or accessible for some reason.

Yah, the +volume and power just boots the phone right into android. ROM Manager tells me that my rooted s7 installs cwr just fine. (in fact I've tried every different version it offers) I use w7 x64.

Assuming that's the same cwm that I got in the streaksmart forum, yah. I flashed that using fastboot as the recovery and then issued the reboot into recovery command and it just booted up android.
At this point, I am assuming the build/version I have isn't a standard build and I will have to do something outside the normal channels to get it to work. I might just chuck this and get another. Especially since I heard that there will be a compatible version of honeycomb for devices with less than stellar resolutions like the s7.
I think the key here is to unplug usb from computer and hold down the power and Vol+ button to reboot into recovery mode.
I struggled with this for probably half a day figuring that out.
thx for your help and I finally figured out the fastboot and then recovery.img. So then I rebooted and seleted the software upgrade via update and it been stuck on that selection for awhile. is that normal?
by the way upper left hand it has in white lettering Booting recovery kernel image.

It should say Booting recovery kernel image and then take you straight into clock work recovery...
Mines doing the same thing just getting stuck when it says Booting recovery kernel image and the dell logo apears then when i press the power button it turns off if i boot the device up not plugged into my computer and hold the power and volume+ it will flash red the LED and turn off.
Resolved Yet???
I'm having the same issue... CWM says it's working fine but when I try to load ROM it reboots normally back into the menu... Red lights blinking and does nothing when trying to get into recovery mode. Fastboot is only thing that seems to work and that even doesn't work properly...
I'm stuck with a ROM that is constantly crashing. Every 10 min or so, it needs to go. Please anyone that may have a method I could try would be appricitated...

[Q] help me reinstall OS and root my nexus one

I've got a nexus one with a broken power button and a corrupt OS. It rarely successfully manages to boot. Since this is the case, I'm not able to turn on USB debugging to follow some of the tutorials here..
My next try was fastboot.. I downloaded these two files:
recovery-clockwork-5.0.2.0-passion.img
update-cm-7.1.0-N1-signed.zip
But it seems like I wont be able to flash a recovery file if I have "s-on" displayed on my hboot or fastboot screen..
How do I gain "s-off"? And is it possible to flash a stock rom via fastboot?
And yes, my phone's got stock gingerbread 2.3.4 rom.
HBOOT 0.35.0017
MICROP 0b15
Touch panel SYNT0103
Radio 5.08.00.04
Please help me with this matter as I have been trying to accomplish this task for over three months now..
Read Nexus One wiki, section "root", and section "recovery".
You don't need S-OFF to flash anything, if you unlock your bootloader. This is Nexus.
Boot into fastboot, plug into your PC, open command prompt wherever you have the fastboot command in Windows, most likely in android sdk under platform-tools, run "fastboot oem unlock" from command prompt, your bootloader is now unlocked. Attempt to flash your recovery now."

It's already unlocked, as there is a small open lock displayed at the bottom of the boot screen.. and fastboot displayed it as already unlocked as well.. still.. i need a way to go to recovery without the power button
If you're in the bootloader - "fastboot reboot recovery".
If you're in the OS or while the OS is booting and ADB daemon is already running - "adb reboot recovery".

fastboot reboot recovery doesnt seem to boot the phone to recovery..
should the OS be completely booted up if I want to use the adb command? because it displays the error "error: device not found" when I try to "adb reboot recovery"
Might this be a problem with my computer? I checked and confirmed that the drivers for the phone are successfully installed...

First try: "adb reboot recovery" or "fastboot reboot-recovery"
If that doesn't work, give this a good read to see if it will help you:

I've attached an image showing proof that I've tried your method but still kept on failing to reboot to recovery..
When i try the command "fastboot boot recovery-clockwork-5.0.2.0-passion.img", the phone simply restarts and goes back to the 'X' boot screen and gets stuck there.
Could anyone please find me an genuine unedited gingerbread 2.3.4 ROM so I can PASSIMG it? ... I've downloaded several rooted ones.. but all seem to need the "android-info" file
fastboot reboot recovery
No "reboot-recovery".
And if you still get stuck on "X" when you reboot to recovery - it means that your recovery is corrupted/unusable too, and you need to PASSIMG everything.
Generally, booting the recovery through "fastboot boot" should have done enough - if your phone can't boot, it might probably be a HW problem preventing it from booting, and in that case - nothing will help.

Could anyone please provide me with a genuine stock gingerbread 2.3.4 or higher PASSIMG file? i've searched a lot but all i see are modded or rooted ones.
Yes, you're right. Fastboot can't reboot to recovery, only adb.
Oh well, in that case you're out of luck. You can't PASSIMG without power button, so if "fastboot boot some_boot_image" doesn't help - there's not much left to do.
You could always disassemble the phone and fix the power button...

Here's the 2.3.6 PASSIMG zip file link. Follow the directions. If you can get into BootLoader, your phone should automatically boot this if you have it named to PASSIMG.zip, and on the ROOT of your SD card:

Nexus One recovery won't start, stuck on bootloader

Hello,
ok so the problem is I tired to update to Jelly beam, i read about it here and i follow the steps. I make it to recovery and when i wanted to install files from zip it gave me error - Installation Aborted. I read somewhere that i have to update my Clockwork recovery so i tried and since then i can't do anything. When i press the power button i go to bootloader, from there if i chose Recovery the phone reboots and stucks on the colored X. When i type "adb devices" in cmd so i can try to apply some method list of devices is empty. I think it can be fixed if i make it to recovery but i can't. I looked a lot and maybe its because im mad or something but i can't find a solution, so if anyone can help me i will be very happy. I don't bother if im back to stock.

[Q] HELP!

I know this is probably posted in the wrong forum but i only have 5 posts....
i flashed the bulletproof kernal from the HTC ONE forum and now my phone is in a boot loop..
i can get into the bootloader but when i try to go into recovery it wont load.
also device is not recognized by pc when connected by usb...
how can i get into twrp to factory reset and flash the viperrom or stock rooted rom?
Seeing as our sprint variant HTC one doesn't have any custom kernels as of yet, you flashed something that does not belong. This is a big no no and you've probably killed your device. You can try hard resetting by holding down the power button until the capacitive buttons stop blinking, then holding volume down and power to get to boot loader, then navigate to recovery. I'm pretty sure you're SOL though.

"fastboot flash recovery recovery.img" ?
I'm still bootlooping...
Once I got the bootloader to connect fastboot usb, I direct download the twrp recovery .img then In the command prompt

Then I was able to get into recovery from the bootloader and wipe and reflash viperROM
