[MOD] [ARC] Reboot in Power menu (Reboot,Fastboot,Reboot into Recovery)

There 3way for you to Reboot phone: Reboot, Reboot to Fastboot and reboot into Recovery (ClockWorkMod).
Im not a programmer, im a structure engineering so im not sure it has no bug. If u find the bug, please help me correct it.

This is the original file, i only put reboot in it, im still not change anythings or themed. So u can change it by yourself or u can link here to my modded post.

no, just means if you have it connected to pc, it will reboot into fastboot

reboot to fastboot: reboot your phone into fasboot mode without press menu button . You still need pc to flash kernel

i dont thik so. I modified this from 2.3.4 StockROM so i think it isnt compatible with Android 4.0

Many pop-up windows appears an say different sys. Errors
Try factory resets but till Sam I am on 62 with doom and my one uotmod installed maby this it's the foul........

After installing this mod, my Arc slowed down quite a bit and the custom XPERIA S launcher by Flamemo got broken reverting back to stock Arc lock screen and clock. A quick reinstall of XPERIA S launcher solved the problem though. What might have happened there?
UPDATE: I had to restore my back up as pressing the Off button continuously did some sort of quick reboot rather than bringing up the power menu. Some sort of incompatibility with the theme I guess. Using Arconium 7.2

If u get error, may be it's because of your modded themes.

Sorry, but its kind a stupid question, sicnce all roms in this section are built for x8... For stock kernel yoou should try PrimeHD or GingerDX coz thay are most popular, and always before ask something use the search button

as u can see --> Stock kernel + Model number is E15i

the developer changed the Model number , i know it is the same and it is just a name , the rom itself is built for X8 but here is the problem
some apps need to identify the exact device type to do an exact function
Total Recall for example , when it recognize ur device as E15i is totally different functions than recognizing it as X8.

Change the model yourself in build.prop?!
Located in /system/build.prop
It is called ro.product.model or something like this. Search a lil bit

E15i is more sort of development name for our lovely X8, X8 is the more sort of name of the phone released to the market (us).
For developers it is: SE E15i
For us it is: Sony Ericsson Xperia X8 or sometimes also called Shakira
Try out GinderDX, it is very stable and has good battery life for both stock and custom kernel.

@Up - If u want to change the name from E15i to X8 just do as Heronger told you, go in to /system/build.prop and change the ro.product.SOMETHING

Well iv never faced with such problem and im used almost all roms here. Just do like guys told you but you must change name in both bilt.prop( some roms have two them) one in system/bin anf other in system if im not wrong

Thanx everybody, I changed the model number , and yeh like u said dsaklein there is 2 bilt.prop.
Anyway it didn't affect the functionality of that kind of apps, it seems that some apps works in different ways according to the android version installed
I was trying to get all the advantages (like recording calls from the line not the mic < it only happens with stock rom + stock kernel > so, right now i know the only way to do that is switching back to the stupid stock SE rom)

Oooops, just experienced the Samsung keyboard bug present in XXDLH9 (keyboard blocks with one vibration and after a while debock with 3 short vibrations). Any way to fix it?

Thats wierd i never had any problems with keyboard upto now..Did you do a full wipe?also wipe dalvik cache..maybe a third party application you installed?
Try disabling keyboard vibration will also save you battery life :]

This is very fast and very stable ! I, too have the problem with Samsung keyboard, I changed to Swiftkey 3 and all is well. Very nice work - thanks for sharing - I will be using this for a while ::thumbup::

After using this since last night I am really liking it- cool options.
Just one other issue, live wallpaper picker fc's, no biggie as I rarely use live wallpaper.

[Q] Need to Improve my samsung galaxy ace

Hello Guys,
I am using samsung galaxy ace installed with 2.3.5.
This phone has all the default settings and now it is out of warranty too.
The phone has problem with internal memory and also there are few games that cannot be played due to 800MHz clock cpu.
Can someone provide me the action items that can help my phone to perform better in terms of Memory, CPU clock. I have seen videos and read forums but confused with the steps that needs to be taken.
I am expecting steps(In Detail) that will make me feel better when I use this phone after this.
Your help is very much appreciated.

Welcome to the World of CUSTOM ROMs..
I guess the below steps might help you...
1. Install CWM recovery on your phone as described below...

2. Download and install the zip from the below forum.. I am using this one and its just Awesome... If you want some stock ROM or any other versions you can always search for it...

3. Put the zip in you SD card... Reboot in recovery and then install from zip... (wipe cache n others to reset your data)

One slight change.. Installing CM 10.1 might not improve your performance and all...
Follow step 1. Then try installing light stable ROMS like...
Droid Ace
3. Now try out scripts and tweaks like Adrenaline Engine, Project Silk etc,,

I think you should do this steps:
1) root the phone
2) install CWM recovery and backup everything
3) use Pimp My Rom app from market to apply tweaks to the stock rom (build.prop mods, add init.d folder to system in order to install scripts, add governor to stock kernel and so on) wich is best in terms of stability and battery recovery
4) install Seedere Entropy Generator
5) remove system app you don't use to free space on internal memory (I mean Samsung Store, Social Hub, MTV app or stuff like that)
5) install script if you want
6) maybe if you need to use a lot of apps create an EXT4 partition on SD card and link app to SD
BE CAREFUL WHILE DOING THIS THINGS AND THE FIRST TWO STEPS HAVE TO BE FOLLOWED IN THE INDICATED ORDER AND HAVE TO BE DONE. I'M NOT RESPONSABLE FOR ANY DEMAGE TO YOUR DEVICE!

[Q] Clearpad folder

Hi,
I cannot reply to the right thread because of less than 10 comment.
I'm not a newbie and I was trying to mod my z1 to have pen mode enabled.
After the creation of an init.d script, I wasn't able to use the pen, so with root browser I have tried to look what happened at the file pen inside the clearpad folder, but clearpad folder isn't a folder but a link to /sys/devices/virtual/input/input1.
Is it correct?
Why the script doesn't work for me?
I have tried also app (3.1 version), but it doesn't work too.

P.S. I have also tried to flash rom again i'm on 14.2.A.1.136 version obviously with root permission.

With root browser the strange link to the folder that's not recognised as a folder:

Someone could tell me if /sys/devices/virtual/input/clearpad is a link to a folder and not a real folder? (on es file explorer there's an arrow at the bottom of the folder that indicate that is not a real folder but a link, on root browser is simply indicated as a file)

If you're going to fiddle around in android you better learn some *nix basics.

Thanks for the answer. I know *nix basics, but if you read my previous post nobody answer me, so I have tried to search a solution for the problem. The only thing that I thought was strange was that, and because of nobody had answer me previously I have tried to formulate a question for everyone... Everyone here has a filemanager in his phone, but not a terminal emulator.
So now I have checked and also the thing that I have tought was wrong it's, instead, correct, I have no idea wich is the problem. I have also tried to reflash stock rooted rom and installing only the apk that enable pen, but it won't work with wood.
Anybody have an idea of what else to check?
EDIT: I found the problem. I bought this phone used and I now that sony apply a cover for glass, the first owner had applyed another cover over it and that's why it doesn't recognised "pen".
I'm very sorry with all of you for the loss of time, when the problem was very stupid.
