hi, just as the title shown, can anyone help me to disable it on my Xperia Z, thanks in advance.
Why would you do that anyway?

Just guessing: did you try to delete all message texts in the settings? Maybe the button won't appear if there are no texts.
..... Such a useful feature. And it's not in the way.
Two ways of using it:
Reply with a quick msg.
Or
When you just want to make the call stop ringing the ring tone. Just simply swipe up and the it stops ringing, but the call is technically still going.

I hate that it will stop ringing the ring tone.
It happens to me many times that when I'm running or shaking or something, a call comes...
Then the phone's screen is on, and my pants accidentally open the "reply with msg." and it stops ringing...
So I miss lots of calls due to that ******* function.
Why won't I just mute the call volume when I don't want it to ring?

Maybe it's because I'm quite hot (physically, no other meaning...), so the phone thinks that it's me who is touching the screen...

Perhaps, if you sweat through your pockets the water(sweat) would press lol. But you had some suggestions up there, if none of them worked. I'd just make it an habit to have the screen facing outwards. Or switch to AOSP Dialer.

Hi All
I recently lost my ringtone and found a solution on here, so all is fine.....EXCEPT when the phone rings, the ringtone disappears when the scroll wheel (if that's what it's called) is moved.
Has anyone else come across this problem and if so found a fix???
The phone carries on ringing silently if I move the wheel, it's just the sound that disappears and that's obviously not very good if it's in my pocket!!
I've tried pressing all the other buttons when it's ringing to see if they make the sound disappear but they don't, it's only the wheel
Any one got any ideas????
Thanks
That's not a bug.
That's a feature...
My TyTN1 did that.
My P3600 did that.
My TyTN2 Does that.
It's the only way of making the phone go QUIET without canceling the call.
Quite usefull actually....
Honestly!!??
It's a feature??
How do I turn it off????
I like that feature very much, too. When someone calls and I don't want to talk to them I just hit the scroll wheel to silence the call but let it continue ringing for them. That way they don't know I'm ignoring them. I can plausibly be out of range of my phone or some other excuse. If you press the end key or hit "ignore" on the phone screen it sends the call immediately to voicemail and the person on the other line can tell they've been actively ignored...
I don't know if it's possible to turn it off.
ive always found it usefull. but sometimes it can be annoying as OP said when its in your pocket

The beginning of every sad story I've heard about screen cracks and phone damage, has always begun with , Well the phone was in my pocket and..............
When I pull my phone from it's padded holster I always look at the caller id first and do not wish to disturb other people while I decide. I appreciate the feature
I'm guessing it's a feature that can't be turned off then
How can I prevent my volume buttons form rejecting/answering my phone. I am tired of killing calls while I get my phone out of it's holder.
Thanks
Taking a guess here, settings-> call settings-> all calls-> answering call. Uncheck answering mode. Might have any key answering checked.

Thanks for trying but no cigar. I can't believe this isn't bothering others. Many times I accidently put an incoming call in voicemail because I accidently hit volume up while getting the phone out of it's holster.
look through the settings. i'm sure its in there somewhere. if not check the online manual on samsung's website.
When you hit the volume button it doesn't send it to vm, it just silences the ringtone.
but can i make them answer a call? deliberately
i hate swiping the screen

yea, i'd like to know this too.
Hi,
I've been using the Sony Xperia T now for a while and something bothers me.
When I am in a call, my phone tends to put the caller on hold, switch to speakerphone, or just end the conversation alltogether. My idea is that the touchscreen doesn't lock when I am in a conversation and I press either of these buttons with my ear/head. Is anyone familiar with this issue and is it something I can fix myself? I've looked through the settings on my phone but couldn't find anything to help me here.
This issue doesn't happen every call, but I would estimate it does half the calls. Especially when I'm answering calls.
Thanks.
Never had any problems.

I just checked it. It kicks in at 2/2,5 cm's. So that's good then?

Hi!
Does anybody know about an app to disable vibration when the phone is placed on a flat surface?
I hate it when my phone is on the table and it vibrates because of an incoming call or a notification - it gives me almost am heart attack!
Greetings

I found a few apps in the play store but none of them worked.
Hopefully someone can help with this.
Turn off vibrate in settings.. Much easier.. The boomsound speakers do the rest if it be into your pocket.

You can do this with Tasker, set a sensor poll for the accelerometer and if it's face up, or face down, you can disable the vibrate motor.
It lowers it everywhere but faux has an app that you can adjust the vibrations system wide.

I think he's asking for a setting that will make his ear drum explode on notifications if he is actually ON a call with the phone up to his head.
The answer is NO, this cannot be done, since the assumption is that if you are on a call, you want to actually conduct the phone call and not screw around with irrelevancies.
I'm a HER, lol. And I need to be able to get my notification sound while I'm on a call. It has to be a bug. I have never heard of not getting a notification while on a call unless it's a bug.

I don't think that's a bug, that's a missing feature all I can say. Like there is no proper Silent Mode on Lollipop
I fixed the issue...... I returned the nexus 6 today for the note 4. Kinda sad but I can't live without notifications. My teenage daughters don't like calling so have to be able to get thier messages while on calls.

Anybody found a app or anything that makes in call notifications work yet?
You can use Chomp SMS there is an option there to get a sound notification if you get a message while on call
