Nice, looking forward for more features bring back from 4.2.2 soon.
It might be good to have nightlies for start building stage of 4.3. I don't really like to crack-flashing everyday, it's tired. But I'll still respect the poll and decision from op though.

Right on dude.
If anything, just flash the nightly versions in which you think bring the most change. Like, maybe one day the changes don't look interesting to you, and the nightly 2 days later has lots of cool stuff. It's a win-win.

I'm quite content with straight Android 4.3 now.
Once 'official' CM10.2 drops, I can most certainly make CM10.2 builds with the equivalent changes this has.

I just got my Verizon Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 and it already comes with the J1 rom and not the G3. I don't see anywhere on how to root this version of the rom. The only instructions to root is for the G3 rom. Appreciate any help. Thanks.

Follow step 1b in the root thread. You have to downgrade to g3 and then upgrade to j1 after.

1026 seems to be the lowest clock speed i can set
I can get to 384mhz, but I have noticed the minimun settings don't stick very well, but the maximum settings stick like glue. I've also noticed this on my S3. I'm not sure whats going on to be honest. I'll see if I can dig into it in the next few days. For now, though, I've noticed that you have to kinda play around with the minimum settings until it sticks, but it will stick eventually.
Working on cm 10.1?

Guess I should have been more specific. Where's the link to your kernel source? It's a requirement on XDA.

I'm using Kernel Tuner right now and it's working the best. Can set both cores independently or together. One thing I've notice though is go into settings and check "Prevent Changes from other apps". It says it's for HTC but it's working on my tab. If anybody has a good reason to not do so let us know :good:
Hi thanks for your great kernel.
I have two tablet 7p and 10.1p wifi it is possible for you to explain me or port this great kernel to tablet 10.1 wifi
.
I have Linux pc and if you help me for port this or create my kernel with your help.
Because forum tab 10.1 is dead ...

Hi.
I didn't find where to share it so people can try it and give feedback or whatever...so I created this thread. I compiled franco kernel with the updated code for the wifi driver (same thing that was done here).
It also modifies libs and config files so do a nandroid backup in case you don't want to use it anymore (use any other kernel...including the original franco kernel) ... or you can use (you have to use[/B]) this to revert to stock driver and pure franco #134 kernel.
Anyway... flashable zip in attached files
Source is here
I just wanted to help so be cool.
And credit to the people that deserved it.... you know who..
Well since the wifi problem is fixed (I think)... I'm just sharing my personal build of franco kernel...it's franco kernel+faux sound+faux gamma control.
Enjoy
What version (date) of the Prima Driver does this Kernel Contain? BTW, currently testing
Just as a heads up I'm using jszaq 's motley version and it's not missed a beat in weeks. It's so awesome not to have to worry about missed notifications on WiFi, after waiting so long for crappy Google to fix it.

It works for me too... But I read motley's thread and apparently doesn't work for everybody... I hope that it works for most of the people so franco will include it officially.. But since it uses libs and other config besides the kernel I don't think he will

Since it changes libs and other stuff you can't just simply flash a new kernel. Have to restore from a backup.
Edit: Forgot to report my results. My internet is 30/5 and with this new kernel I actually get 30/6.5 which is obviously a faster upload than my computer speed tests.
If I flash a new kernel, do the new wifi drivers and such go away?

The kernel changes I made and the wifi libs and config in rom side need to go together... so if you flash a new kernel only the files in rom side stay.... and your wifi will mess up... so use the revert zip to change kernel but you will lose the fix

Hey Zach - can you toss us a gapps? (nevermind, see below.)
[edit]
Also - this is very odd - the home button isn't working on this one.
It triggers a vibrate BZZZT but doesn't take me to the homescreen at all.
Menu button works. Back button works. Search does not. (Not that I ever use it...)

No comments? FIRST TROLOLO
I'll test and report any bugs
Edit. So far so good, this ROM is different which is a really good thing! Those list animations, Sense/iOs7 like recent apps and everything is just wonderful! I have few things that I didn't like and hope you will fix them:
1) The keyboard is English/Korean, could you change it to official Google Keyboard so that there's no Korea mode always on and so that there are other languages (because now there are no Finnish letters "ä", "ö" and "å"!).
2) the recents panel. If I'm in browser and long press home button to get to the recents panel, it won't show the browser in recents like it should. Also either make the small pictures larger or make it so that I can see more recent apps at once!
Also a feature request: can you add different transition animations?
Awesome ROM, keep up the good work and I hope you'll work on those things I said above
Edit2. Funny, settings says that my phone is suddenly SHW-M440S (the Korean version of S3) instead of GT-I9300. Hmm...

That will be the kernel's problem.
If you are running a custom kernel, try another kernel that ONLY supports cm 10.1 NOT cm 10.2
The kernel's ramdisk init.rc is the blame.

I use CWM so I haven't tested it.
It's a flashable zip though; should work.

It Twrps not working for you at first, reboot to bootloader from the recovery menu and go back to recovery via bootloader... That'll do it

cm is merging the features in 4.4 so this wont have all the features of 4.3 till then. Also we need to wait for pa, aokp for more features. op is trying hard by himself to merge some more features like network speed indicator etc.

this isn't based off a particular dated build, as the commits kind of roll in.
but essentially you're correct.
slimroms is hacking away at the features list, slowly but surely.
so this rom will stay with those commits definitely.
Lol you removed everything

I think both of those features were in slimbean.
so they may be merging them in eventually.
if that's not true, then if you could point me towards a rom ((repo)) that has it integrated, that would be awesome.

Rastakat has it. Also, anyway to port the n5 business dialer into AOSP?

It doesn't. You can't type a business name into the dialer and have it pull results from maps. The AOSP dialer only searches what's in contacts. The n5 dialer will use maps to find the business and show it in the dialer as a result as if it were in your contacts.
