Did this mean that I'm going to be getting 4 g lte soon? Because if I turn on data it's still only 3g. Or is this just a mishap?

Your sim card is removed is all it means. It relies on the sim to get 4GLTE

But it's not. Never has been out of the phone.

Remove it and place it back in. The phone has a tendencies to shake it a bit loose. There are other threads about this issue.

Use a bit of scotch tape. As mentioned, this is a common issue.

If the mods don't like it they will lock it obviously your not a mod or it would be done.

You work for Gamestop? They need to be scanned in before the pre-order text goes out?

Try looking at the other Gamestop threads that are locked because mods want you to stick to the stickies. This thread isn't locked yet because the mods are too busy locking the other 50 Gamestop threads that pop up every hour. They'll get to this one.

I'm curious if anyone knows what the icon in the notification bar is that is directly to the left of the Wi-Fi icon. Thanks in advance. I have the T-Mobile variant.

Ninjas.
Thanks. Does leaving it enabled really drain the battery?

Hardly. The biggest downside is that it sits in your notification bar. A other than that it doesn't use much power overall (unless you're constantly using it, then it'll draw more power)

Share menu inconsistency.

Just as the title says. Why is the share menu different in different apps and can someone do something about this? (make it like the big white one all the time) It's hurting my OCD. ) I'm not rooted yet, but I will be very soon (when i get to my laptop) and I'm interested in a fix for this.

Pinning messages in stock messages app

Did I just never notice this before? Or is this the single greatest thing ever lol. Seriously it's the best thing I've found so far.

Sorry guess I should have explained better. It pins that message to the top of the list of messages. So that when you get other messages it is still there and always at the top and you don't have to go searching through your conversations to find the right one.

That's fantastic, I was using GO SMS Pro for a while on my note 4 because the stock app was getting really slow, and it had a similar feature where you could mark your top contacts and they would always be at the top, then the most recent message would be right below that list.
Yep, this isn't tied to contacts but to specific conversations. Very handy to have but it is kinda buried a bit.

Yes that's what I'm looking for. I don't have the mobile hotspot option.

I believe it's both carrier and plan dependant.

Man that is weird. I mean I have that feature buried in my communications setting and I would like to have it in the notification short cut toggle. Anyways, thanks for the responses.
