Hey, I just saw that Motorola has released the source-code for our beloved Razr I on sourceforge.
So in theory it should be possible to compile our own androids. I was wandering whether anybody is working on this / has tried that?

Yes, we could use that if they'd give us a non-corrupted kernel source. We already knew this.

I've had a brief attempt at this but always get build errors at make.
So far I've tried with cyanogenmod ics release and aosp but not entirely sure how to overlay the motorola repos. Most are fairly obvious and can be merged into device, external, hardware etc but don't know where to put the Motorola folder...
turl set up a device tree for the razri a while ago but it hasn't been touched since:

Maybe naive, but what about trying to contact Motorola and ask them how the build-pocess works? Or do you think they would not help?

I've built my own kernel from source months ago but forgot to include the modules too so I had no WiFi or bluetooth lol oh well.

That is not what developers say and I doubt developers will lie about it.

Thorstenk, the instructions for building the kernel are in the README.
The instructions for building in the WIFI/bluetooth modules are also pretty clear.
I may try another build with just these, I was running into problems when trying to build with all 37-38 folders overlayed...

This was how I did it. Just followed the readme. Modules didn't work right though as I said.

Just tried to compile the whole thing which did not work, overlaying everything is definitely not sufficient. I guess we need to do more.
After that I tried to bake a kernel, wich did not work as well, always another build error. I am working on a mac which probably makes the situation that bad, no idea.
Dont get why they do not provide a tar-ball where everything is included ...

I'm on a mac also, it shouldn't be an issue if you are on a case sensitive file system n using correct java, gcc etc.
Check the version of xcode you are using as well, I had to install version 3.
Oh and post the error message. I got to the point where it was complaining about multiple copies of busybox from the overlayed folders (which is why I think we don't need all of them)

Yes, I bothered Motorola for this last night. Glad they sorted it so quickly.
Also don't include the recovery folder at the moment.
I had an unsuccessful build this morning so I think there's still some things missing...

This is a completely different port and all previous fixes will be invalid. And you will have to erase data and cache and dalvik-cache completely!
Do a factory wipe.
Flash this ROM.
ROM
Boot into the ROM.
Then, reboot into recovery and flash Gapps.
GApps
Boot into the ROM. Setup your Google Account.
Reboot into the recovery and flash this fix.

Yup. This was ported from the One. So expected to not work. But shouldn't be difficult to fix that.

On the other thread, i mentioned my data network didn't work, forget that. I check my access point and it work perfectly now.
But i was really surprised when i wanted to go to my clockworkmod and i saw a "Teamwin mod"-thing... It's not very kind to do some thing we didn't want...
Somebody have a *.zip to get back my old clockworkmod ? Thanks
The MIUI V5 Rom work very well. Unfortunately, there is the SD Card problem who cause a lot of ForceClose. But i'm sure you will get it work.

The recovery is built into the kernel. If you want me to post CWM, I shall post another boot.img. However, I do suggest you to try TWRP. It's much faster and easier.

Sorry @alnikki25k for a bit of a thread steal (its OK we're a team). You know this means. Sense 5.0 from the One is possible. Forget our Droid DNA port cause that ruined my phone (Sony are replacing it). I'll talk later on Hangouts in more depth cause I had a Sense 5.0 ROM that booted (stuck on the boot screen just like the original versions of yours and my MIUI builds, However Android being Android, ADB won't work...)

The storage maybe the services.jar problem.
In services.jar.out\smali\com\android\server the all filename start with MountService
I think we need patch some code from yuga

I was actually thinking about this as well. If we could get Sense 5 to work somehow, it would be fantastic! And go ahead and steal lol. I am working on mounting the storage now.

[ROM][DISCONTINUED][UNOFFICIAL][SGP321] CM11 - KitKat 4.4 [15112013]

DISCONTINUED: I discontinue this in favor of my OMNI-Build. CM is too broken at the moment for me (Graphic glitches as well as regular freezes). Also the FXP builds seem start to roll in. OMNI works fine for me and I will put out a new build tomorrow.
Threw a working CyanogenMod 11 build together. As the bundled CWM does not work, I replaced it with TWRP.
TRY AT YOUR OWN RISK!
EDIT: BE WARE, it seems that the GPU driver screws up and the tablet starts to hang under certain circumstances. I am working on it.
EDIT2: Seems it has nothing to do with the GPU drivers. ReInstalled and wiped and it worked fine the last few hours. Maybe its the GApps. Investigation still ongoing.
Working:
- HSDPA+ (I have no LTE capable card, so I cannot test LTE, but HSDPA+ works)
- Bluetooth
- WiFi
- GPS
- Camera
- Video
- Sound
- Hardware Acceleration
- Rotation
Not working:

Max CPU frequency in the settings is 1512MHZ. So i guess no OC.

Most tablet z users own the wifi version. I hope someone makes a Rom for the masses soon.

i got status 7 error while flashing rom using cwm 6.0.3.2

I have one with locked bootloader, just rooted, with not Cwm or twrp.
Will I be able to install this ROM if I installed twrp recovery? Or do I also need to unlock bootloader before flashing?
If yes what are the fastest way to do this.

Nice find man, im gonna give this a try as soon as it downloads been running cm 10.2 since i got my xtz so been looking forward to this!
Edit: so i flashed over my cm10.2 with cm11 and 4.4 gapps at first and then tried a clean flash of the boot img and installing from recovery. so far its not very stable at the moment for me on my pollux_windy, there is no sound but i keep hearing a clicking sound from the tablet, dalvik / art seems to be working but i was having the laggy issues opening the app drawer and unlocking the screen, it looks really nice so far and im enjoying the google launcher experience but i keep getting random hangs and then reboots at the moment. Just done a clean flash and giving art another try.
Edit 2: No such luck still kinda laggy and no sound but with the click noise repeating every few seconds, just flashed back to cm10.2 coz i need sound :s keep up the good work though guys, really looking forward to this rom!

[ROM][4.4] CM11 + MEOW Kernel

This is pretty much dead.
That and the server it ran on is dead aswell, and i forgot to backup the scripts i was using to keep it all in check, oops.

The ROM is built everyday around 18:00 GMT+1.
It's bog standard CM11, so changelogs for that can be found here:

Hi LaMaaH , can you build a removed DoubleTap2Wake and Sweep2Wake version of MEOW Kernel , I always have touch-going-crazy problem with those 2 features.

You can try 1st, if error you can use meow kernel for flashing..flash meow kernel reboot recovery and flash rom, or extract boot.img from rom and flash using fastboot, reboot recovery and flash rom.

turn off these features in e.g. Trickster mod app

I think the Kernel is still in the early builds, just wait till the dev updates it and you'll see more features and stability.
Cause I switched into this rom and I find that the recovery which comes with this rom the newest version I assume and it's a bit slow compare to the the last version., So I assume that the it will be fine once the kernel gets updated well

So how does this fare compared to the other 4.4 roms out there?
Does it have the huge lockscreen delay and random lags like the rest?

Is superuser working in ART?

Hey man, it's alright.. Although technically flashing my package should also work with default CM builds...
Will test this and fix it when needed.. I hear some people have problems flashing it over another ROM.

not tried this build, but have a go at disabling hw overlays to see if it helps with the erratic touchscreen behaviour.

Nope, you can use Trickster Mod to disable them, but i don't have any touch issues with my own Yuga.

I was looking up which xperia devices support Cyanogenmod officially and I was suprised when I saw the SP in the list.
But there isn't any build? Why is that?

I still have locked bootloader but I will unlock it someday...
(I know that unofficial builds are good by seeing the comments )

There's no activity because I'm waiting, like everyone else, for Sony's 4.3 to be available. New blobs and new kernel will help kickstart development again. (No, the leaked ROM is not useful, kernel sources are more important.)
