I flashed a sound mod that I'm not sure is having any effect, and would like to un-flash it. Is there such a method to doing so?
First...make sure you do a nondroid backup before u flashe anything...
Second...if you run a custom Rom just dirty flash the Rom one more time it will overwrite that sound mod...

Sorry, I'm kind of new at this, but what does that mean? Wouldn't you lose all of your data and settings and stuff? Or does a dirty flash just overwrite all of the installed mods and none of the data?

Exactly...dirty flash mean you gonna keep all the settings all installed apps...
You gonna lose all extra mods you installed after you had flashed the rom the first time...
Also if you need after flashing Rom you can create backup on recovery...
You can do that after flashing every mod or theme...
So then you have sure that you can easily return to the "before" configuration if you don't like something you flashed...

ok i installed cyanogens 4.0.1 using the 1 click root method
after flashing the rom, i partitioned my sdcard, but after doing that, i did not reflash my rom. is that bad? everything on my phone seems to be working fine, except the im app and myfaves. should i reflash the rom anyway?
and also, what are the effects of reflashing the rom? does it delete anything? like my settings or something..
thanks in advance!
reflashing the rom will not hurt anything. i think you may need to do it to activate a2sd anyways.
just reflashing the rom will not delete anything

well it seems to be working already so far.. but ill reflash just to be sure. thanks!
oh yeah, and just to be sure, to reflash the rom do i have to download the 4.0.1 again and reflash it using the "apply any update" thing in recovery? basically same way i flashed it in the beggining?
it should still be on your sdcard unless you deleted it off of there. just boot into recovery and flash it.
ok i will.. and btw, can i delete the 2 files in the cmupdater folder? one is the actual file, the other is like some mmds5 or something
just use a file manager (i like Astro) and go to the root of your sdcard and there is folder something like cm-updates. just open it and delete the files inside of it should do it.
ok i did it, THANKS!!!!
no problem glad you got it working
Hi all
I have one basic and simple question:
is it possible to back to original theme without reinstalling rom. I used some theme which is installed through clockmode recovery interface...
I have rcmix3d 4.0, but it is similar to many roms, I think...
Many thanks
the only way i know is to look at all the files in theme zip using 7zip, then grab the same files from the origional roms zip and copy them to another copy of the theme zip replacing them. then flash the new one. hope i helped kinda confusing.
Just reflash the rom with out doing any type of wipe.

Hi,
Im not sure if this will help, but Dev Janielsen uses Capy's Rom which he modded as well in Funzy RCMix and there is this instruction that I follow in order not to have an auto wipe:
"Ok guys, in order to avoid automatic full wipe when you upgrade from a version to another with few changes, you have to delete (before flash obviously) the script below in META-INF/com/google/android/updater-script".
run_program("/tmp/alignment/alignment.sh"
Of course you have to do a Nand Back up first if you wanna try this method..
Hope this helps..

oh i know Bro , but i need to apply it manually....
How can i do it ?
Hi,
Maybe here, there is a transparent status bar: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2279742&highlight=transparent+status+bar...
It seemed to me there was another more recent topic for that but I can not find it or it was in a theme thread... I don't remember exactly
Or try this SystemUI.apk, I tried something but i'm not sure it will work (and I don't have time to test, sorry).
Make a nandroid backup first!, then flash the zip in attachment, don't forget to wipe the Dalvik-cache.
I'm not responsible if something goes wrong, so I insist, do not forget the backup...

Why don't you try doing a full wipe and installing the rom again.
Don't forget the kernels. Try lower frequencies if it doesn't boot.
And I don't think anyone will provide a backup. For security reasons.. There's no need for a backup. Just do what @me4488 said.
i have tried full wipes already makes no difference
how can i flash kernels if my device wont boot ??

Assuming the mod did in fact break your radio, the easiest way to fix this is to simply dirty-flash the ROM and Gapps, then flash whatever else you need back.

Yes. Just need to wipe dalvik/cache.
But if it's still messed up, then you need to backup your stuff and clean flash.
