I'm looking for a custom ROM that does not ruin the perks of the HTC one like blink feed beats or the integration of Facebook with the contacts. But on the other hand I love how CWM10 throws s in all the custom features into the interface and makes almost everything customizable such as choosing whether or not to compress audio over BT connection. Basically I'm looking for a stock ROM, almost like an RUU with the added settings that CWM10 has. Any suggestions?
Flipboard, Ac!d audio mod and the Facebook apps all work great. :good:

Hello all,
In order to help ROM developers add extra features that people love on ROMS I thought I would start of by sharing what I love from both of the Stock and CM10 roms (Things I cant live without) and then asking other people to share their ideas as well.
When I was on the x10 forum the Developer Wolfbreak had an excellent stock (2.1) based rom but did manage to port lots of CM7 (2.2) features to it, I really miss this blend of the two and was hoping some Dev here would see what the people want and try something similar (I do not consider myself anywhere near competant enough to Dev this)
So here goes

Highly customisable

Hard to set up wifi

This is not defininitive and like always just my opinion, everyone will have their own. Please feel free to add your own but please add them in a similar format to my post so it is clear to all and I can collate the posts every week or so and see whats hot and whats not.
So i use my One to play loudspeaker music quite lot round the house while doing various things like cooking, housework etc.
I have played around with many, many custom Roms, as there are 3 things that i really want my One to be:
Minimilistic - i'm talking transparent docks, transparent folders, etc
Lower DPI - make the most of that big screen
Good sound - like beats does it
This is my issue, i can not seem to get all 3 in one place, i prefer Sense, but cant get a good 380 DPI system wide solution - i moved to non-sense and found i was close with Slim Rom, i had the DPI and all the transparent goodies but for the life of me, with codec downloads and all sorts i just couldn't get the sound to be anywhere near as good and deep as Beats provided on the Sense ROM's.
Has anyone managed to get Beats like sound on a non-sense rom?
And secondly - i cant get transparent folders on Sense - i mean the actual folder background while the folder is 'closed' and still on the homescreen....
Any help to either problem greatly appreciated

Maybe try out the Google Play Edition HTC One Rom

viperone lets you change your dpi but your going to need to use a different launcher cos sense really doesn't like change. viperone also lets you have transparent folders on your homescreen.
Just wondering if you guys could help me find another ROM or two to try??
I've tried about every Sense 5 ROM on the first two pages and find that the Viper ROM is about the only ROM that has one of my favorite feature's, the cutomizable horizontal EQS toggles across the top (similar to the 23 Toggle mod that many of the S3 Touchwiz ROMs have). I like Viper, but just want to try something else as a daily driver to compare battery life.
I don't really like the EQS tiles that seems to be the normal with most Sense ROMs (and 4.2.2 in general).... I did find a couple other ROMs with HEQS, but they only have 5 static toggles. I realize there is a way you can change those, but you have to do some advanced script editing and you still only have 5 toggles available and I would like 7.

Bluetooth
Flashlight
Airplane mode
Reboot
I figured there are some of you that have had this phone much longer than I have and have tried many more custom ROMs, so to save me some time, I'd appreciate some recommendations.
BTW: I've searched for a HEQS mod, but didn't see one.
TrickDroid is the only other Sense ROM which has HEQS (can be hidden) with Viper.
Or you try AOKP which also should have HEQS, not sure on that one though
After playing around with tons of Sense, AOSP/CM-based, and Google Edition ROMs, I find they all have things I like, but haven't found my "dream ROM" just yet.. Carbon is probably the closest, but the 4.3 nightlies are way too buggy, and they are having problems with their M7 builds lately..
Regardless, I think the 4.3 Google Edition ROMs are the most stable, and would be the perfect base if I could just get these mods integrated into it, if it is even possible..

I know I am basically describing Carbon, but I'm afraid it's going to be a while before they iron out the bugs.. And even on the 4.2.2 builds of Carbon, AOSP, and CM, the audio was always much lower then Sense or GE based ROMs with Beats enabled. I always thought Beats was BS, but the difference in audio on Sense/GE and other ROMs on my M7UL is incredible.
I don't mind installing each thing as a separate mod, but I am not a big fan of Xposed, so I'd prefer to avoid it if possible.
I guess the main mods would be the battery icons, and a full APM. Is there a list somewhere of all the GE 4.3 mods available?

yes go with either tekhds rom or maximum ovrdrive, both are excellent
Honestly, I don't see what the fuss is about....yeah the rom works smooth and I get no errors so that is great, but it doesn't come with ANY interface customisation settings... or am I doing something wrong? When I go to the settings I see nothing except for some some added apps. I asked in the forum and I was told to install a theme. Well I did and still nothing.... is there anything out there like the AllianceROM for my NOTE 3 that was highly customizable? Thanks!
Check out dynamic Kat or dynapop for inbuilt theming apps. Or you can always root your phone and install xposed to use modules like Wanam or xblast tools to do even more theme tweaking.
