[Q] Install Android on external SD

My internal SD is dead and I was wondering if I can install android on my external SD. There are some cm9 rom for lg optimus 2x that do it but I haven't seen some for galaxy I9000. Anyone knows any rom that has this feature?

Not the rom that contains this features the recovery is when installing rom go to chose zip from sdcard and and install rom from external sd

Well my internal SD is dead. I'm only able to boot to android when i have an sd card inserted. I have 1.87gb to install apps but internal and external sd show as "unavailable". Once I unplug the external sd, I get boot loops. I guess there is no fix....

Can i name the of internal Sd and use it for games?

i'm on cm7 nighlt 21april and my internal sd is named EMMC WTF?!?!
why is it not named internal sd?
because my sd is only 4gb hc and my other sd are normal sd so very slow!
and the 5gb internal i would like it to use as game storage!^^

You can't force games to install on different memory card than the default. Actually Android is not designed to have "two" sdcards like the Optimus 2x has since they spilt up the internal memory.
So the only thing you can do is to switch the internal as default /mnt/sdcard and use that instead, and force for example Spotify to use /mnt/emmc as not to waste the external real sdcard.

Yeah i found it on the guessx rom you have 4different .zip for make emmc as external or original lg internal and external sd!
But thx any way

CustoNexus crazy sd card mount point

Hey guys
i flashed custonexus in my lg 4x hd and it runs very good. But i think the sdcard mount point is confuising me. I know on my lg p990 it was possible to switch internal to external and external to internal sd and i think in custonexus its the same!? Oo
Because games downloading data are downloading to external sd and programs like sdcard tester cant find the internal storage....
so i have 12 gb only for apks lol
is it possible easy to change the mount point like its in original LG releases?

[Q] Optimus 2x external_sd

Hello everyone,
I have an Optimus 2x (rooted) and I want to move or install apps to an external sd (\external_sd). I tried with set-install-location 2 e with app2sd but they both move the apps only between the phone and the internal sd (\sdcard)...I think these aren't functioning because of memorie's names. Is this correct? Is there a way to change the names?

[Q] Internal SD Card

yesterday i've just flashed my p970 with ICS 4.0.4 stock room (rooted).
is there any thing can i do to swap my internal storage with my sdcard?
because i can't found my internal storage mount point.
i want to make 32gb sdcard as my internal and 1gb internal as external sd.
anyone can help?
