I followed all the direction in the sticky from developmentand made sure to make a backup of my stock Rom so that I could always get back to something stable and guess what....it wouldn't boot.
I was running WC's 3.5 Rom and need to get back to stock. Didn't work. Tried a couple times and now I flashed
Wc again just to get my phone booted. Any ideas?

You need to flash the stock kernel in fastboot.

Where is the best place to get the
Kernel?

Has any one tried using this app with their Inc S? How did it go?
I've installed it, loaded 3 roms (2 install from zip and 1 nandroid backup) and can't get any to boot. They all get stuck at the Splash screen.
I'm unlocked, S off, using Blackrose and have never had an issue installing those roms before.

I had it, but just for two rom. Do you selected install boot.IMG with?

I just followed the on screen prompts. Install zip, so I then select the zip I wanted. And when I try to boot to that rom it does nothing.

A reason could be the blackrose hboot with the lip partition..

Do you know of any way to get it to work?

For me it looks like ics is too unstable for that, it doesn't run on my device flawlessly. You could go back to a non Blackrose HBoot, flash a Rom who don't need blackrose and try it again

So I'm on t-mobile and I'm on stock but I'm wanting to deodex my Rom without having to install another one. Is this possible?

Hi,
Is it true, that phones with a custom recovery don't get OTA updates?
Sent from my HTC One using xda app-developers app
They don't get updares by the manufacturer but custom ROM get updated way faster. There are tools which can download these via OTA.

Well, I don't have a custom ROM, I just unlocked the bootloader of my HTC One and installed a custom recovery to get root.

You can re-install stock recovery, which i believe will allow OTA updates again.
OK, I see. I used the all-in-one kit to unlock my phone and install a custom recovery. So I thought I could just flash the stock recovery using the kit as well... But where would I get the stock recovery?

Actually the phones with custom recovery still get OTA updates as long as still using stock ROM.

OK, thnx. So I'll have to wait and see if I get the 4.2.2 update.

Correct! But you still need stock recovery to install the update.
You are driving me crazy... So what good is it to receive the updates if I can't install them?
OK, so I still need stock recovery. So the question remains, how so I get the stock recovery?
