My Xperia won't boot since yesterday, i'm stuck on the screen with the triangle with a wrench and a screwdriver. I saw some threads where they said you should wait, but it's been like this for the last 15 hours or something. I have tried searching for a solution but couldn't find a solution. The phone has the latest stock Jelly Bean firmware and is not rooted, any ideas how to fix this?
Edit: Sorry wrong section
Re: [Q] Xperia T won't boot
Try to turn it off. And flash FW via flashtool.

I don't really like that i first have to unlock the bootloader to do that. I have this phone only a few weeks so i can just get a new one from my carrier but that takes a lot of time. Is it possible to repair it with the Sony PC companion or ADB?
Re: [Q] Xperia T won't boot
Just plug it in and leave it, it's repairing itself.
If you keep turning it on or off it starts again.
As an aside you don't need to unlock to use flashtool.
If you can't wait then download and flash the same version with flashtool or use a pccompanion, repair option. If you won't wait you need to format data

The 15 hours i described was without turning it off and on, can it really take that long?
Re: [Q] Xperia T won't boot
Hold vol up and power until you feel the three vibrations, run pccompanion without the phone connected, choose the software repair option, connect phone when instructed, do not power up the phone before or you'll be straight back to the tools screen.

Thanks alot, that fixed it, getting my data back is easier than waiting for someone from Sony to repair my phone.
Hey i rooted my xperia z a few days ago and all was well, i put beats audio pro app on it and it started going mental. I tried to uninstall it and since then its just constantly turns on and then restart. Ive tried doing the reset by holding power and volume up and waiting for 3 vibrates. I can get it into bootloader mode but dunno if i can reset/restore it. Does anybody have any ideas or know if i can reset through bootloader?
Cheers Sturtz

Press the relock option
Put a stock .tft firmware in the Flashtool firmwares folder (this is required!!)

I then used Sony PC Companion to repair
try to put it in bootloader through the abd comands hope wil work its happen to me before also
How did you use the flash tool and pc companion together?
Also why did you flash the Rom again, you might fix it if you clear the cache of apps?

I tried to flash the 4.2.2 update to my xperia because i didnt want to have to wait for my carrier to release it. I used flashtool but i flashed the wrong ftf file. now my device will not boot up past the Sony logo screen and it keeps restarting it and each time it only gets to the sony screen. I have tried to flash a different ftf file and the phone connects to flashtool but when it is going to start flashing the device switches on and thus is dissconnected from flashtool. it is the c6603 version and it is rooted but not bootloader unlocked. any suggestions?

If you hold power button alongside volume up until the device vibrates, it should turn the phone off. Now it won't reboot anymore, and you'll be able to boot in flashmode.

This forum is for Xperia Z, not Z Ultra
Anyways, you'll need to give us some more information. Did you flash your divece? Is it rooted? Which software are you using etc.
If your bootloader is still locked you could try to repair your phone using Sony PC Companion.
If not please report back.
hello all, i have a sony xperia z (rooted) but now it wont boot up!
first of all it had been rooted for a while now and everything was fine, however i tried to unroot following a tutorial on youtube using sony's update service, it got to the installation then an error came up saying it had failed and to retry when fully charged (phone was over 50% charge) since that the phone wont boot up, it will get to the sony screen then just power off again, sometimes the led will flash very quickly in green, flash mode? not too sure..
i have no idea how to fix it so any suggestions would be awsome!, thanks, Jordan

Cheers bro! after waiting for the downloads it literally took me a matter of minutes to flash the stock .ftf
Easiest way to uproot is to use pc companion, glad it's sorted

Think you will find Seus / PC Companion wipes data where flashtool doesn't

The phone working normally like before.
Then I charged the phine whole night.

I am 99% sure it has water damage and is broken.
However, if you have not unlocked the bootloader do a software repair using PCComapnion.
If you have unlocked the bootloader or that does not work, flash a stock FTF using flashtool. Make sure you wipe everything.
Hve tried flash using flashtool and wipe anything but nit work. Still bootloop.
But I can enter recovery mode and no restart almost 30 minutes.
Will try using PC kompanion. Will rrport again later..
Eh but my device is unlocked :banghead:
Need relock ftf
Sent from my ST23i using Tapatalk 2
There is a relock ftf in the development section
Sent from my LT30p using xda premium
Ok,. My phone has relock the bootloader then repair using PC kompanion succes but stil bootloop after xperia logo
But doesnt problem if enter recovery mode.
My phone has anomally :
- If I inserted the battery the phone just turn on but in bootloop condition
- If I take out the battery and plug in the charger, the phone also turn on but only sony logo after that restar again and again and again
I think have problem in electricity circuit in my phone
Sent from my ST23i using Tapatalk 2
Try flashing a stock FTF using flashtool.
Get the FTF from the all in one thread in the Q&A section and download flashtool from the first thread in the dev section
EDIT
Are you sure PCCompanion flashed your phone? If it did you should no longer have recovery.
Nah.. I mean that recmod no problem no restart. Before I flashed stock FW and relock bootloader.
I just confuse why my phone can boot to recmod and no problem but cannot load the OS

I know what you mean, but if you did repair your phone and follow the advice I gave then you should not have recovery.
Did you follow my advice? Did you follow my further advice and flash a FTF in flashtool?
