flash firmware with NCS
NCS download
After Nokia Suite installs, copy and replace the usergroupsconfiguration.cfg file to C:\Program Files (x86)\Nokia\Nokia Care Suite\Product Support Tool For Store 5.0 if you’re running a 64-bit version of Windows. Or C:\Program Files\Nokia\Nokia Care Suite\Product Support Tool For Store 5.0 if on 32-bit.
1. Open Nokia Suite. And select ‘Product Support Tool For Store 5.0′
2. When prompted, select ‘CareSuite External’ then hit ‘Sign-in’ button.
3. From the Menu, select Tools, then ‘Firmware Download’
4. Now enter the product code of your device, hit ‘Check Online’ button, to check the latest firmware version of your product code.
5. Then ‘tick’ ‘Optional Content Files and ‘Download’ to save your firmware.
6. Wait a few minutes for your files to download
7. You may now manually flash your Nokia device with the firmware you just downloaded.
- Your firmware should be stored in the C:\ProgramData\Nokia\Packages\Products folder of your hard drive.
also look here (is for 920 but is same procedure, only you need firmvare and product code for your Lumia)

How to install UBUNTU 11.04 very easily in your PC

Hey guys! as you know, linux OS is better supported to develope in android than any other OS.
There is a lot of people that feel lazy when they want to install linux: making partitions, resize them, download linux, burn in a dvd... but thas has changed..
This is just an .exe file. You install it just like another windows program, following the steps. Installation is very fast, you don't need to create partitions and you can uninstall ubuntu from your computer easily from windows as every program.
1. Download Ubuntu installer from the official site: http://www.ubuntu.com/download/ubuntu/windows-installer
2. Will click with right button on the file we downloaded, and we will click in fix compatitbility problems
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
3. Then we will click in the second option. It should say something as fixing problems program.
4. Then we will click in the first option. Should be something like "the program used to work in past versions of windows but now it doesn't gets started
5. Then we will click on "Windows Vista"
6. Now we can install the program normally. It will download and install ubuntu as a normal windows program. When it finishes reboot your computer. Ubuntu will boot. Set first settings and reboot again. It will let you use ubuntu or windows.
Now you can enjoy this amazing OS with any complications.
Hope it's helpful!!
How can this be related to I9003 at all?
Tnx for the info,gonna try this tom.

[Q] Can't flash a non-booting Samsung ATIV S

Hello everyone,
I don't know if this is the right place to post this, but hope someone can help me.
A friend of mine asked me to fix his Ativ S, which is not booting (don't ask me why). The following error message appears on boot:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
As hard reset does not seem to fix anything, I decided to follow this guide (http://forums.windowscentral.com/samsung-ativ-s/295444-latest-samsung-ativ-s-firmware-updates.html) in order to flash a working rom to the phone. I am on Windows 8.1, and disabled driver signature verification to install samsung drivers, which finished succesfully. Nevertheless, I can't make WP8 SMD binary downloader to detect/recognise the phone.
To begin with, the correct driver is not automatically selected, so when first plugged the phone in download mode is detected as an unknown device:
Forcing to update the drivers from the folder where the samsung driver is installed does not work (it won't detect a suitable driver). So I manually browsed through the different device categories to select which, I believe, is the correct driver:
After this, the phone is recognised as follows:
But, as I said, it won't be detected by the WP8 SMD binary downloader:
I tried with 2 different computers running Windows 8.1 and a third one running Windows 7. I already ran out of ideas, so I hope someone can help me getting the phone detected properly.
Thank you in advance!
UPDATE:
A new version of the driver pop-up through windows update and I could finally restore the device. It is strange that this update is not metioned anywhere I could see, and seams to be necessary (at least it was in my case)
Help me
hi, I have the same problem as you help me please !!

Problem with upgrading 4X HD to V20A

I tried to upgrade using the LGMobile Support Tool, and I get something like a disconnected error at 4% or 5%.
I have also tried using the KDZ Flash Tool as described here(as KDZ_FW_UPD.exe) and I get this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Note that Windows Enabler is On and the settings for the KDZ flashing tool are set as described in the thread.
Also tried the method where the LG Flashtool was used(the one which allows you to downgrade using a .dll and .dz/.tot file), could not get the program to flash the V20A .dz. The port(s)just say ready even after the phone is unplugged and plugged back in. Used an extractor program found on this forum to extract the .dz and .dll from the V20A .kdz . Not sure if I must use a .tot instead of a .dz .
Driver installed is from LGUnitedMobileDriver_S52MAN314AP22_ML_WHQL_Ver_3.14.1
Current phone firmware for this phone is LGP880AT-00-V10e-ESA-XXX-SEP-24-2012
Using Windows 8.1 (although the household I am in has some computers running Windows 7 SP1)
I would also like to ask how this program works, because I cannot seem to get it to work.
PS:When I tried this one to two years back I could upgrade using the LGMobile Support Tool. I decided to revert it back to ICS(V10E) because it did not have the "slow charging" issue of V20A
Never mind, managed to upgrade the software from a Windows 7 computer. This thread can be closed now.

Bricked my CM G1, need to flash in QPST or miflash?

So I bricked my CM android one 2nd gen and it's not booting up, I can only see boot page like forever.
How did I come to this?
I cleared the cache in recovery then it somehow corrupted the /cache folder.
What I forgot to do is I did not enable OEM unlocking in settings so I cannot flash anything in flashboot and adb.
I'm stuck because my phone is
1. Not rooted
2. Bootloader locked
3. No custom recovery
4. Stock Android
What I plan to do now is to use the QPST or miFlash, I have already installed the necessary drivers and I can see my phone detected in download mode (using COM port)
My problem is I don't know where to look for the files needed. Or I'm not sure if these are the correct files I need because I just got the screenshot from other qualcom based phones. But I want to try it.
