So as the title says, I am having an issue since the update. I was using the Handsent app and was running the previous version just fine. I upgraded and that worked fine. I then got the OTA update and now handsent's main app was not opening. I figured I would just use the HTC one and be fine, nope, it did the same thing. I uninstalled handsent, reinstalled, nope. I cleared the HTC messaging app cache and it would still not open. Any thoughts or suggestions? I really don't want to have to hard reset and reinstall everything, but if I have to, I have to. Thanks!
Did you clear the handsent cache, data and default before uninstalling it? If not, reinstall it and delete those things before uninstalling. See if that fixes your regular text message app

delete the cache with titanium backup.in the stock messages app(.and data)
Well you should just be able to goto settings, all apps and look for messanger and delete it from there. Reinstall handsent and go into it through settings as well and clear its cache, data and clear as default and then uninstall. I'd start with handsent first and then after uninstalling it, try opening your stock message app

make sure Fastboot is unchecked. Under battery settings.
go to apps management, choose messages under all tab.
clear the cache, you'll lose all texts
force stop the app
Power the phone down, right after force stopping the app(give it a minute to fully power down), then press and hold Vol Down + Power (this will get you to the bootloader screen, white screen). At this screen you'll scroll down (using Vol Down) to recovery, it should take you to a black screen with a red triangle (press Vol Up if only a black screen is seen). Here (at red tringle) press and hold Vol Up + Power, your haptic buttons should flash, release the buttons. In the recovery screen you'll scroll down to "wipe cache", select with Power button. Reboot will be highlighted, press Power button. Check messaging app again. Hope this made sense.

Followed your steps and did everything you suggested, no dice. I open the app and it still force-closes upon opening. I can't get to the settings in the app, i just get the "messaging app not responding" error message.
I just remembered that I had the beta version of facebook? Could it be acting up with that... like wanting to get my texts through that? I didn't select to have FB take my texts though, so I really doubt it... just another thought.
Try just force stopping the app, pressing home, opening the app, pressing menu, delete thread/s and choose whatever is out of place (@pm.sp).
My brother got this so called "malicious" text and was able to get rid of it. Did it on an EVO 4G today, he's a technician for Sprint.

Nope, the button is not available. Its really weird that it bugs out, is there any way to reinstall the stock messaging app without a hard reset?
You would have to have the .apk file for the messaging app.

Yup, have it selected. I think its just not able to over write the stock app... same difference as trying to remove stock apps. Unless rooted, I dont think you can. (not sure on this)
I also noticed that when I unlock it, it says "processing" sometimes. Not sure if this is related.

Could be related. Periodically, try going to the app, after rebooting the phone. Maybe before it settles you'll be able to access the menu to delete threads. Hadn't run into a One with the issue. If one comes in, will try to isolate.

Before you search for a new camera app have you cleared out your camera cache and tried the camera again?
Do the following:
Phone menu button > Settings > Applications > Manage applications > All
Scroll to Camera (or whatever the name of the camera app you're using) and click on it
Click on the "Clear cache" button and since you said you haven't done much with it, if you want, click on the "Clear data" though clearing data shouldn't be necessary at this point.
Its tha stock camera app that option was not there
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I897 using XDA App
You mean it was greyed out? All apps will have the same options so it'll be there, just probably not available which is also rather odd, imo. When you look at it in the "All" list, what number do you see under the Camera listing? While you're at it, what number do you see under "Camera Firmware"?

go to settings, more, application manager, all, and clear data, then stop services for google services framework....then go into system update and update samsung software...... you may have to do that up to 10x with a few restarts in between
also you need to at least have 35% battery
works everytime for me!
if you notice after you clear data and go to system update, it shows that it last checked i 1969......this somehow resets the que and puts you in front of the line
Although this update fixed my red hues during black backgrounds, it added the purple blur/smearing thing when scrolling though quickly...at least we know its a software problem and not hardware
Ok...

Depends on how people are getting the prompt.. Within the other thread, one of the three anyway, there was this post by a rooted user that had the fail..
This would be ideal because it should have been sitting in /cache (as we've seen on other devices) and it could simply have been pulled.
The only other option (and it will probably not be successful without root but worth a try) would be getting a logcat (running log during process), then forcing the prompt by clearing framework in hopes of catching the download link when the prompt arrives and tapping it. Pull log, inpect it for link and go and get it manually.

Another possible method of grabbing files on a non rooted phone is airdroid app. Connect with PC, choose files folder. By default it will go to the SD card but you can back up and get to the phone's system files after a warning screen. If the theory works, just start poking around the file system until you find the update and download it to the computer. You can't edit anything with airdroid but you can grab files at least if you're not rooted. I've never tried this but did see it show the phone's internal files when trying to get to external storage when the default go to folder was internal storage.
Got my update, turned off dev mode, force stopped google services framework, and cleared data.
So much smoother

Apparently so!
I'm not sure how to help but let me try.
What's the phone doing when you get these errors?
Have you changed the dpi to the app or your phone?
Do you have a logcat file of when this event occurs?
Some things you can try are wiping data and cache of the app. Try removing your account off your device, and re adding your account again. This cleared up some errors for me before.

In any app with a Share button, for example, YouTube, when I press the button to, maybe, share the link in a text message, I instead get taken to the bluetooth menu. If the bluetooth is off when I press the button, I get a pop-up to turn bluetooth on first. In Titanium Backup, I froze the Bluetooth Share app, and the Share button worked fine, but completely disabled bluetooth functionality, so I unfroze it. What's going on?

Are you hitting the button that looks like an open triangle pointing to the left? That should bring up a popup menu with your sharing options.
If that doesn't work, are there any other apps/services that you've frozen? Try unfreezing them and see if that brings the menu back.
Edit: just noticed you said it worked fine when you froze Bluetooth share app. Try going into the properties for that app and clear the details for it.

Not clear enough to provide an exact solution, but there are quite a bit of changes made to how the user is notified with lollipop; All, Priority and None modes. Use your vol up or down key on your homescreen and make sure you chose all, then give it a try!

You could try installing a different launcher see if this somehow kick starts notifications. I use Nova Launcher, you can get an unread count plugin for it which tells you how many missing emails, text messages, what's app messages etc you have. You may not need to install that though just nova launcher, switch to that and then back to Google Now (if you prefer it) then that should hopefully give it a kick.
