Dear folks,
I have been searching for weeks now, unable to find a sufficient solution or even a general answer:
Is it somehow possible to mirror my phone's screen to a Miracast / Intel' WiDi capable TV? I know that some devices are, in general, capable of using Miracast for exactly that (S3 and S4, to be specific). However, I am not aware of a possibility for the S3mini, even though Google announced that this should be included from Android 4.2.2 on, and therefore would not be hardware-specific.
Im am currently running the 20131118 build of Maclaw's CyanogenMod 10.2.
Does anyone have any specific information on using Miracast / Screen Mirroring in the S3mini, preferably running CyanogenMod?!
Thank you heaps in advance!
Stefanotis
Any progress ?
Seems that no one cares, I have the I8200 ve and mo options for that, even tryed wifi display helper to show the hidden menu but it doesnt find the ptv 3000 in there as my asus hd7 does, we may not have the widi code in the kernel to communicate via wifi direct or something...
If you have cm 11 installed you have the option to cast your screen. I have never tested it but you can Google more about it. Hope this helps
Hey,
i didn't find any solution of my question. I want to connect my Razr i (XT890) via Wifi Direct / Miracast to mirror my Phone Screen on my TV Screen.
Im on the newest Update but there really is no option for Wifi Direct. Is there any way to get this working?
Best regards and thanks for help.
Hello, I´ve acquired recently an used Xperia Z1, I know I can use MHL to output video to my TV but I want to do that wirelessly. So I want to know before I buy a miracast adapter if the phone supports simultaneous screen mirroring (over wifi direct or miracast) and mantain a wifi internet connection.
An example of what I want to do is to screen mirror the phone screen on my tv while I stream a movie over WiFi and have the phone near my couch so I can pause, skip, etc... and control the movie with the phone in my hands instead of having to walk over to the phone mhl connected to the TV.
I ask this because I´ve read that the xperia Z can´t do it and couldn´t find if the Z1 suffers the same issue.
No native english speaker so please forgive the bad grammar. Thanks in advance.

Yes, that's what called Miracast
I'm don't know about TV, but I test my Z1 to connect Lenovo projector, it's works really well with Miracast + streaming from Youtube :3
Just make sure, your TV support Z1 Miracast, since I need update Lenovo projector software, so I can connect it with my Z1.

Thank you so much for your quick reply, I plan to use a EZcast adapter/dongle connected to my TV hdmi port, I would like to know if your Lenovo projector was connected to the internet too (maybe a Wi-Fi capable projector?) Or if you were using an adapter/dongle connected to the hdmi port in the projector. Thanks.

My pleasure :3
Hmm, you can test that, since Google Cast use the same way :3
Eh, it didn't connect to wifi, because it's used by miracast, I'm afraid my projector didn't capable to do that ( I didn't test it ), but you can switch to connect to your router (if you need update the software or you can also use your router for streaming like phone> router> projector ).
I'm not using any adapter, since the projector used in built Miracast and wifi too.
You should test your adapter first, for compatible test :3
Hello,
I just bought for my father a Mi Pad 4 Plus .
Unfortunetly it was in chinese/english (coming from gearbest) but my old father managed to install a new rom good
But at last, it's not easy to connect/cast to a TV.
He tried with USB/C => HDMI adaptator without sucess.
I've read that chromecast doesn't work.
It seems that maybe with a dongle with anycast could work or mirroring with a mirroring app on the TV may be ?
He got two TV, one smart and the other not (even if the tv can connect to internet)
Do you have any solution wich work at 100% ?
Thanks !

Reviews say Mi Pad 4 Plus doesn't support video out via usb-C, but casting to a Chromecast should work, I'll test on mine in a few hours when I'm home.
I believe I'm on unofficial global ROM (xiaomi.eu)
I can confirm my Mi Pad 4 Plus can connect to my Chromecast, although it's not optimised, displays a lower resolution on the TV than the one on the device. Casting Youtube/Twitch/VLC/etc works great at good quality

wrong post...
Please try this:
Setting - permission - Google Play Services - (look for) Record audio - (choose) Accept.
Now, restart the Mi Pad 4 Plus
Go to app, Home. You can use it to mirror your screen to Chromecast 2 now.
Cheers~
I have an alfa romeo guilia and i have installed eng custom infotainment in my original alfa infotainment.
There is an option for mirroring..
Any mobile phone works perfectly with usb mirroring except for s21!!
I dont know why...
Me and my technician cant find solution..
There is no option in anroid 12 for mirroring..
Its too pitty because i cant conect my phone..
Can anybody help us???
Use quick setting Smart View. Through that function screen mirroring is supported.
Smart view uses wifi direct..i connect the phone through usb cable..i think that is something with anroid 12..it accepts every phone except for s21!!

Which phone does the mirroring via USB? Maybe you need USB to HDMI for mirroring? Or you can use Dex on the host screen?
