[Q] Access to quicksettings from swiping [Home] up. - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys,
Currently on HTC one, we can access to google now by swiping up from Home button.
Can we somehow use that to access to quicksettings instead?
Thanks.

Never seen any Mod that does that ... Why would you want that, it really isn't any quicker than swiping from the top with two fingers

Try Google Now Swipe. This app save me from Google Now.Now when i swipe from home it opens My Car app.

If you are root, you can try the LMT launcher.
With that, you can customize all the gesture.
For now this launcher is not working great with the HTC one. Everytime you reboot your phone, you need to re-select the correct type of device (it change randomly).
I recommend you to disable the pie and only use the swipe part.

Thanks guys, google now disabler works.

Viperone can map all the buttons to whatever you like. Works flawlessly. I have swipe up to search, not Google now. Useful for searching within apps.
Sent using xda app on ViperOne.

Yeah viperone Rom maps buttons love it works great

[Q] Google Now?

For those of you who have used the Z. I know you can have the Google search bar to access it but what if I take it off my home screen. Is there another way to access the app without using the widget or app icon?
Long press / swipe up the home button. Like in Nexus

[Q] Longpress Home Google Now changeable ?

Sup,
When you longpress the Home button you can swipe it up to the Google Now.
I don't really like this Google Now. It would be way better if you could start any App via Home button. i.e Camera.
So does anyone know of a fix/hack/mod to change Google now ?

but thr s not longpress on home button it s just swipe up from everywhr on bottom bar
and i don think on stock rom maybe u can change it by custom rom like CM
check feature of CM10.1 for xperia Z
http://www.xperiablog.net/2013/03/05/cyanogenmod-10-1-now-available-for-xperia-z/
You're right. But Longpress also works ^^
Ah well, I'll wait for official 4.2 and switch toa custom ROM then.
Hey @Haldi4803
I suggest you take a look at the excellent Slide Launcher which allows for launching multiple custom actions, including camera app, quicktext a contact, etc.
If all you want is launch a single app, no question asked, you may use Home Button Launcher
that looks awesome! Thx dude!

[Q] Fastest way to access Google Now "Voice"?

Anyone know how to access Google Now "Voice" on the Xperia Z lockscreen or before you unlock your phone?
Google Now widget doesn't allow that.
Currently I can either have google search widget or icon on home screen.
Even if I can change the "long hold soft home key" to go directly to voice instead of search that would be great.
Thanks!

There are plenty of ways if you are rooted, I personally have it as the center shortcut on LMT pie controls.
U can also use gestures to activategoogle now coice using LMT.

Thanks for your reply.
I should have added that I would like to keep stock launcher/lockscreen and without any additional apps running in the background if possible.
I really have no use for additional controls.

Ok then if you can, install uccw and create a widget with a google voice hotspot.
My phone is going through the flashing process or else i would've seen what else was possible.

Yeah, been searching around and looks like I may have to install an app.
uccw sounds ok. I just want something as unobtrusive as possible.
Checking out the playstore for some gesture apps as well.
Did you try holding the home button for a second then swipe upward after you see Google now icon appears. Then say "Google" it will automatically activate Voice command. I hope it helps.

just swiping up from the home button is enough, I think.

Nav bar menu thing, w/ Google Now

Hi everyone,
I am currently using the Maximus ROM with Sense 6 and I was wondering how you call the pop-up slider thingie which you get when you swipe up from the home button? The one where you can slide to Google Now.
I am wondering this because I would like to know if it is possible to add other buttons to this menu, but I haven't got a clue how it is called so I cannot search for it.
Any help would be appreciated! Thanks in advance.

In the Sense Toolbox Xposed module, there is an option to add Voice Dial and APM shortcuts to that ring. They call the mod "Extended Assist Panel" under Control Mods. I haven't seen anything that allows you to customize the shortcuts to put there, but I really haven't looked.
Thanks for your reply.
I also found another setting in the control section of the Sense 6 toolbox, which brings your device to sleep when swiping up from the home button (so no more Google now, but I don't really care) so I'm all good!
Sent from my HTC One using XDA Free mobile app

Where is the menu button?

Bum. I need it to get to my launcher settings.
I don't have my N6 until tomorrow, but if it's anything like the note 4 you just long press the recents button. Like I said though.. Don't have the phone or Lollipop yet (coming from note 2).

There aren't any in the stock Google Now Launcher but you can get into them via Settings>Home and then press on the option of the 3rd party launcher (assuming you're using one)
Normally launchers have a shortcut built into them for the menu button. For example in nova long press on wallpaper and choose settings.
