The closest one with an existing CM is the HTC One XL, but it has a different GPU which *may* be significant. Zarboz is working on a stock port of the One Mini, which will hopefully make future CM ports easier if they materialize. Though the One Mini isn't looking too good IMO with its announced $550 price point, its potential popularity is still debatable since at least it'll be spared the stigma of Facebook Home.
I tried to port that one but failed I did use the 1.08 deodex and removed all Facebook and att bloat added cm 10 wallpapers a cm 10 boot animation, aosp browser, cm file browser and Apollo, also added a folder with extra apps in the zip for manual install ie. Moded play store,
Blackmarket and a few others. Molded store installer needs s off to work let me know if any one wants to use it and I will upload it

Hi all
I hope someone can help. I have a old galaxy. I was wondering if there was a ROM without phone and email and the like. All I want it for is a digital radio player and spotify client. I know that I can instaal slimbean and then begin removing apps etc. But was just a thought that. There may be a ROM out there that fillls my needs
Thanks

It really depends, to satisfy your needs you'd need a rom that pretty much doesn't have telephony working at all yet media working. Its pretty dangerous taking a rom and then removing apps such as the dialer because then things have a tendency to REALLY screw up (or maybe that's just stock).
Probably the experimental ubuntu touch would be one of your best choices.

Ok,so ive searched and searched trying to find out how to use emojis(iphone style)on a stock Jellybean 4.2.2 htc one(not rooted),and all it comes up with in search is ROMS.I have the standard emoji faces, but after the iphone style (buildings, animals, etc).I was using Chompsms, which had a plugin for emoji, but chompsms was using 30% of my battery life a day.Ive downloaded and tried installing a few off the Playstore, but they still dont show up.Can someone suggest something?Am i doing something wrong? This is my first Android phone,so please be gentle.Any advice would be appreciated

There's an emoji keyboard in the play store. It's a piece of crap though and it sucks to have to change keyboards back and forth.
Sent from my HTC One using xda app-developers app
Try Textra with the associated free emoji plug in. It has all the iphone emojis and works fine for me.
I had the chompsms app(also made by Delicous inc),but it was destroying my battery life for some reason.I also had the emoji plug in for chompsms, which would be the same as Textra.I was hoping there would be a setting.somewhere that would enable native Emoji, without rooting or require different roms and/or crappy, half done play store apps

I second TextraSMS. Aside from the native CM10.2 messaging app, it's the best one I found in the Play Store.

Okay speaking of the native CM messaging app, would it work to just grab the messenger.apk and install it as a system app in a stock based rom? Or is that crazy talk?

Yo! So, I know this phone is kinda old, but I'm still rocking it. My question is based on the fact that I've tried pretty much every custom ROM and I'm currently using CM10 4.2 and I'm really not digging the contacts and messaging app that comes with it and most of the custom roms for jellybean.
So, I am wondering if it possible to replace the apk with an alternative from the play store?
Any help would rule. Thank you so much to the developers for making this phone so customizable and easy to change!

Try aoip it up to date all other roms are discontinued
There are several dialing and message apps in the play store. I think the contacts app I use is Rocket Contacts, or something like that. As for messaging apps, I will have to look at which I am using, but there are several, most of which are good, I would imagine.

I like the aoip contacts but I use Handcent messaging because it's quick reply pop up always works, aoip's only works 3 out of 5 for me.

Hi all.
Now I have tried everything I can think of and do not find a good solution so I thought to ask for some suggestions.
I have an HTC One with insertcoin. I like to change the appearance of the cell phone as well as I have a leather pouch at home and one at work. Now comes my problem I would therefore like to change the look as smooth any time with a button press, and then the icons, plus wallpaper change plus widgets. Right now it seems the easiest solution would be a triple boot and it is neither easy nor something I want. It's my first question.
Question number 2. Can I somehow have an old and a new version of an app installed simultaneously?
Sincerely bobbin
Umm.. what?
Lol.. There's an app called 'themer' it sounds like what you need (I think), but it's in beta right now and you need a code or something at the moment to activate it. But when it's out of beta, should be what you want (again, I think)..
*s¡gned
I have themer beta maybe when it's out of beta version it will help med but I think I'm looking for something else.

Create the setups you want and use Nova to make backups, then switching is as simple as restoring the backups.

I have tried it, if do it I need to fix the widgets again and the background pic, not good enough but thanks for the tip.

Modaco.SWITCH? Gives you Sense and GPE, and you can have different launchers in each ROM.
Now that I have root, and can at least flash zips through OpenRecoveryScript, I have been thinking about what I want out this rom, but got me thinking about an idea. While we have kitchens in the past, I do not think anyone has ever done a web-based kitchen. i.e. select the options you want on a web-page and it compiles the zip in the background and then lets you download.
This has been done for years in the programming industry for frameworks (jquery, etc)..
Anyways... Here are some ideas of my dream rom
Options
carousel mode
Screen on with text
Remove HTC apps (Blink Feed, Kid Mode, etc)
Remove stock apps (Mail, browser, etc)
Remove all languages except one you use
Move Google apps outside of /system/ that way they can be added and deleted as needed.
Remove live wall papers
Add common community apps such as Wi-F Tether, etc
Basically build a base rom with the stand rom featuers, zip-aligned, de-odexed, tweaks, etc...
I know alot of this is an option with AROMA installer, but by doing it this way, it makes the download that much smaller.....
Thoughts??
I vote we go for kernel source and get CM, omni, carbon, cfxperiment ect going Personal opinion
I'll add to the list
Alternative (or combine) LTE/Spark icons
Alternative battery icon with %
Remove NFC icon
Xposed Installer
Exchange Security Bypass
I would love a Bad Boyz rom for the m8,it was great on the m7.

I just want something to flash lol. Insert coin was my dd on the m7.

Well, for stock, I'd love everything removed that you could get from the play store, and a folder separate with removed apps if you wanted them.
Aroma is cool and all, but takes longer than this method.
Configurable buttons and long press options.
Oh, and an amazing kernel!
I made a stripped down rom for the gs3 called BareBones and I'll probably make a similar rom for this phone as well.
Beanstalk, my dd from the jewel. But it is CM based so we need that first.
Delete (wrong thread)
auto hide soft keys - like when you launch the camera app.
I'd love cm11

Dude, I remember you from the Evo 3D days. I see you're still trolling around....
For what its worth Myn now has a HTC one M8 and may start developing again. For those that remember Warm rom will know his work quality. He is on VZW now but I will try to help as much as I can with mine. Him coming back to HTC is what motivated me to loose the Nexus 5 and return to HTC.
I would like to see the app drawer smooth scroll instead of by pages....I hate haveing to stretch for a icon at the top of screen when I could have had it in middle or more accessible
