[i9020T][MODS][CM9/ICS] Volume keys cursor control + battery styles - Nexus S Themes and Apps

Hello,
I have been using CM 10.1.x for a couple months but I had to downgrade to CM9 for performance reasons and few bugs. I'm very happy with CM9 and I have finally my notifications working.
However, a few mods from CM10 are missing and I would like to know if it was possible to port them to CM9. Among with these mods, the volume keys cursor control (system wide, not with stock kb) is REALLY handy and missing and it'd be nice to have the circle them for the battery style.
If anybody could help me with that, I would be very thankful. :good:

I gave it a try and I got my volume cursor control back, thanks!
However, it overrides CM clock tweaks and I'm unable to hide the AM/PM now... But the cursor is more important

Yea I checked them out but I'm really looking for the CM 10+ Battery Circle that rotates when charging. The fx was real nice.
I'm trying out some of them...
Also, I figured out about the AM/PM things of XBlastTools, you have to set to default value in the CM panels then you can pick whatever you want in XBT.

[MOD](UPDATE 9/3/11) Quick Settings for Official GB OTA (4.06.605.2)

UPDATE 9/3/11 - I have all the extras discussed added and the layout straight (I hope). There is now just a single zip attached that should be good to go. I would rather not add more functions at this time, as there are other projects I need to finish (ROMs, Power Widgets, 6-bar signal, etc., etc...)
Hi all. In the process of creating my upcoming Magnolia ROM for the Incredible based on the new official GB update, I managed to activate the quick settings tab in the notifications pull down bar. I haven't seen this anywhere else, so I thought I'd share with everyone so we can get more ROMs cooking off the official GB update.
This is just the stock SystemUI.apk with the quick settings tab activated (including the standard "extras" like brightness and media volume) and the GPS reticle hidden. No other changes have been made. Devs feel free to grab this and mod as you wish.
Just copy the zip file to your sdcard and flash as usual. As always, please backup first, and you flash this mod entirely at your own risk. If you want things rearranged or functions added, etc., please feel free to ask your favorite dev. I need to move onto some other stuff.....
Steve
Thanks Steve!! I spent most of yesterday trying to activate them with no luck. I can't wait to see what I was missing. Great work!!
Edit: I also confirm that after flashing your zip, they're working perfectly.
Like a boss! That's awesome man, very impressive. Without having to dig through the entire apk could you let us know which xml you had to edit or how you managed to achieve this? It was so elusive for me lol.
Hey, now we've got a chance to get everybody back on Sense 1.0 roms.
I can confirm the zip works, also. Great job!

That's sick it's working, what are the stock quick settings that it activates? I can't flash at this very moment.
Dumb question I flashes this and I see nothing on the pull down?

It's the tabbed style pulldown like in Sense 2.1/3.0. Not the CM style toggles at the top of the status bar.
Nice find, wonder eBay else HTC left buried in code for devs to find.

Pull down the notification bar and touch the "quick settings" tab on the bottom right.
Edit: Jermaine beat me to the answer
I'm on McSenseless and when I pull the notification bar down there no tabs at the bottom? Hmmm
Is this because sense UI has been deleted and replaced with LauncherPro?

Yeah I might have to do some trickery to get it to work without rosie so we will see, stay tuned. But it will definitely be in my McSense rom.
Excellent, thanks sk806!
Anybody know how to add more of the settings that appear in the 2.1/3.0 roms?

You need to wipe dalvik-cache for them to work. I tested it on my rom, without rosie and it works fine.

I wiped good lol and still nothing
Worked great on my custom gingersense Rom. Thanks
Can anyone tell me how to add a few quicksettings like silent, vibrate and the such, or is this something a dev needs to do? I will be going to McSense as soon as these are implemented.
Worked great, I just used UOT on the file, mixed it up with Liberation 2.0 Beta 5, a new set of battery icons, and green overscroll. Now I just need one with Brightness, Rotation Lock, and screen timeout!
Thanks for the hard work, very appreciated!
Cheers

Just flashed the quick settings and they work flawlessly. Thanks a ton!! This rooted OTA is getting better and better daily.

[ICS]Framework Mods & Improvements

This is the first theme for the ICSSGS port! It is more of a mod, and a theme, but I'll get to explaining that. This mod works on any phone running RC1.
First off, this is universal to all the mod:
-All rotation enabled (screen rotates upside down)
-Lockscreen rotation
-New Default Wallpaper
-Optimized Framework
-Overscroll Glow Enhanced
-Removes most traces of Gingerbread that would poke through when using installed apps
-NEW!accurate battery mod
Screenshots before
Screenshots after
Download for RC1 Patch.
Now this is where the themes come into play.
And now we have the CYAN mod! (NOT what it sounds like LOL)

And now we have the PURPLE mod!

Revert for RC1.
I plan on adding more colors and whatever else I can think of. As of right now I'm working on a darker blue and a green theme.
you know the rule.
screen shots or it didnt happen. red. ya right.
(sarcasm)
I guess I can upload screenshots, but its just the stock theme...just red. That's all it is.

Same build as you, I have no lag. When do you experience the lag?
Dont seem to be feeling the lag, but its broke auto-brightness, and the launcher does not rotate. Everything else does tho... Can you make it happen?
EDIT: Actually seems to have reduced lag. Although, could be pseudo, or a reboot effect
EDIT 2: I have an i9000! Ignore my broken autobrightness

Can I put this on the latest ICS beta? I'm on ICS_4.0.1_r1-Beta1-i9000 and beta 1 captivate kernel.

Haven't been running the virtual buttons to know about the bugs you are talking about, I'm going to flash the purple theme that I'm about to upload and take a look.
Do you think there is anyway you could switch the option to unlock to camera to a unlock to messaging on the lockscreen? And looking forward to the purple theme!

JB 4.2 quick setting on 4.1.2

Hey,
I don't really need a lot of the features in 4.2 that much, but I'd like the quick setting thing. Can someone port that to 4.1.2?
Or even easier, can someone explain how I can build JUST the SystemUI apk from the android repo, and not the whole thing, so I can try to do that myself?
Thanks
There are so many good toggles apps out there (that is if you're not using a custom rom that already has it built in).
why would you like an extra page with settings that arent even quick ...they are just shortcuts ...
sure i tested knzo's and thedarkdude's 4.2 port and the page turn effect is eye catchy... but i see no meaning to it per all.
Ps: iamthedarkone is his name . A am aware of that .

I like the look of the quick "settings" thing on 4.2. Also, if I knew how to build just the SystemUI, maybe I'd be able to make them actual quick setting, instead of what they are now. I do have notification toggles through an app, but I'm not really fond of having a used notification spot just for that. that's why I'd rather have the 4.2 thing.
I use it: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=apocalipsisx.controlpanel

thanks, but that still requires a notification spot, and it feels as bit sluggish. I currently use Power Toggles.

Good mornung sir. If you are feeling limber and wanting to program. There is a stock guide to porting 4,2 quick settings panel by bootmgr and spacecaker its pretty easy. I am currently porting it over along with lidroid toggles. The only thing is you gotta add your own toggles

[POLL] XPOSED: Opinions & Suggestions needed

Hi guys,
I am starting to work on xposed modules and have successfuly created and tested one. I am planning to create a good module for many basic settings. I just want some suggesstions from people to get started with. What i am planning to do is to make a separate module for each task, so that there isnt something like Gravity box which is too comlex. Some options are like below:
1. Navbar size changer
2. Status bar meizu mod for .266 stock rooted
3. battery icon theme
4. various system parameters toggles (all rotations including 180, unplugscreenon disable, camera sounds, mobile data warning)
etc etc
If anyone has a minor module request, i can make it on demand as well. (for example one to enable lockscreen rotation etc)
Below is my first test module, It makes STOCK XPERIA 4.3 Settings DUAL PANE.
Also works on all other stock based Xperia ROMS.

Illumination bar xposed
Can you create a module that changes the illumination bar color on every app and keep it on? Example: If I open whatsapp the illumination bar turns green and if i go to twitter the illumination bar turns blue... same as tinted status bar but with the led bar. Dont need automatic colorizing, i want to manage color settings for every app in a list. Sorry for my english please!
pie control.. not like gravity.. pacman pie that has notification when swipe up..
Why did you post that on Q&A, Help forum?
It would better fit on the "General" forum..
Please request mods to move it ^_^

I can do the pie controls of gravity box easily as its source is open. Maybe PAC source is open too, but will be great if you can point me towards the java file which handles PACman pie. Then i can try.

I was successful in implementing basic settings. Now I'm working on above as well as some other layout modifications. Hang tight.
Sent from my C5303 using Tapatalk
tested your "tutorial.apk" ! I mistakenly thought it was dual "page" in quicksetting (as in gravity box) lol
Great innovation.:good:
Actually the dual pane thing is very basic tweak... it could be useful if i change the dpi and layout.
anyways, my main aim is to make separate modules for
1. meizu mod status bar
2. various dpi navbars
3. various icons navbars
4. navbar/pie controls combo.
Hide handlebar and adjust transparency
1.For hiding handlebar and adjusting transparency of notification bar like in the attachement
2.Full screen caller photo
3. Changing theme accent color overriding the accent color of theme applied
4. Meizu Statusbar as you said but for .201 FW (Latest)
I got my system working back today and created one small one for myself. Anyone is welcome to use it if they want.
Module function:
1. Force Screen to remain off while plugging the charger in and out. (i was frustrated due to the constant screen on)
2. Allows all rotations in 3rd party apps. (Quickpic, UltimateReader, FX manager and many others). However the Xperia Home does not rotate.
3. Forces Navbar hieght to stock 48 dpi. (i was using another SystemUI meizu mod which made it 36 dpi so i wanted a toggle for that).
I will work on more modules for small little changes as requested here. Next target is Meizu Mod Module and then PIE controls/Expanded Desktop module.
What exactly does your dual pane module do?

Have you used PAC ROM? it makes the setings page dual pane.... Not much useful though.
See below, its similar to this.:

I need tester for my MEIZU mod xposed module.
See attachment.
Just go in xposed>modules>tick my Module, install/update framework...
you have Meizu Statusbar.
It only works for Xperia 4.3 ROMS. (.201 tested. 266 not tested but it should work.)
EDIT: Apparently there are some bugs still present....

[REQUEST] XPOSED module that changes the navbar keys color according the color of Status bar.
This feature (“Linked navbar icons with status bar background") is available in Flat Style Colored Bars xposed module, but this module is messing with other modules and the module itself is buggy. Tried to contact the developer but of no use.
For Android 5.1 Stock ROM
Please move it if not in correct section

And I found dev support to worse.
By the way why are you advocating the dev?
I am not interested in buggy module, I asked for an alternate working module, if you know let me know otherwise move on... Simple...
