Hello everyone!
Last Christmas, I released a suite I made on Rainmeter. It's called Android Jelly Bean for Rainmeter and it's exactly what the name is: a replication of JB on Rainmeter. If you don't know what Rainmeter is, it's basically like UCCW for your desktop. You can check out their website here.
Anyways, for some reason I never thought to post it on here (probably because I didn't come here that often), so here it is!
Also, please note that this doesn't work well on all resolutions! My monitor is 1680x1050 and it works perfectly well. It should also work well on other large 16:9 and 16:10 screens. Luckily, if you don't have big screens like that, another person on DeviantArt modified my skin to work well on 1024x768 (here), 1280x800 (here), and 1366x768 (here).

Finally, around April of this year, I began work on V2.0 of this skin. I borrowed some ideas from some popular ROMs such as ParanoidAndroid. This time around, the skin moves a bit away from imitating Android and focuses more on being easy to use for computers. There is still plenty of Android design hints and you can check out the WIP screenshots in my DeviantArt gallery.

Are you seraz right now? That's totally not for Android. :sly::sly::sly:
@OP, There's a thread in Off Topic for desktop customizations I'm pretty sure. You'll have to dig it up yourself though as I'm on mobile right now.

Stock Android 2.3.1 (which Nexus S) uses doesn't have that.
PS. Is it really necessary to write in bold/red/italics? Man it was annoying having to edit the quote to remove all that.
my work around is to stick the Power Control widget on a screen of my choice
it's included with stock Android
but there is no option to attach it to the status screen

Yeah, that's what I thought
to above user, i loove to use different fonts/color/size.
well, i was looking for the powercontrol for the statusbar, as the statusbar is accesible everywhere, when desktop is not, as i recall

Again, CM has the setting to change the colors and the items in the status bar power widget
Widgetsoid does a great job at a power control widget and it is free.

I've missed this from my Galaxy S too, but the best work around I've found is Quick Settings - search on appbrain (cant post links as I'm 'new') and configure it to display in the notification shade, but to hide the icon in the notification bar.
If there is another solution to properly get buttons as on the Galaxy S ROMs (other than the often suggested - "flash CM7") I'd love to hear of it though. I know the notification shade can't be edited by a simple .apk, but this isn't the first time I've seen this request and would have thought it really ought to be possible somehow without delving into the deepest darkest recesses of the android system -but of course I am probably wrong
Hi all, I would like to know from those who use spb shell with DROID PRO+ 3.0 by DOC3000 & MSKIP, as they have customized it. because I want to change my home, but I have no idea about how to customize it, so if you want, I ask you to attach an image of your home, to give an example to me and to those who have no idea on how to customize it
sorry for my bad english
these are two of mine... currently using second one.. maybe they are nothing special, but I've been trying with screens full of widgets and it didn't look good for me

here some wallpapers+fundotela backgrounds , I'll soon upload more
some little adjustments.. almost perfect now
a variation of main screen, layout does not change in landscape view
I've been asked to explain how to build the following homescreen, here's a graphical explanation of the layout
you can see the layout, the objects names and the used theme
-wireless management, phone profiles and lock device are shortcuts to spb tools page
-sleep is linked to MySuspend in my start menu folder
-the clock dark background is a shortcut left blank (points nowhere) themed as fond 2
-everything else is spb widget
phone profiles overlaps operator name
the clock overlays the background and is itself overlapped by widget note and sleep

Hey guys,
I'm relatively new here, but have been fiddling with Android for about 6 months. After recieving an Asus Transformer for Christmas, runnig Honeycomb 3.2.1, I have spent the last couple of days trying to make my new tablet look as nice as possible. After trialing many different layouts, wallpapers, widgets, and launchers, I have come up with a suitable layout (for now) based on fliparsenal's "Hubs Nav+". Then it occured to me, what if there was a
thread on XDA for all the boys and girls to share their layouts with the rest of the world? Hence, this thread was born.
NOTE: I know there is a thread like this, but mine is about tutorials on setups, not just posting screenshots.
Before we begin:
- I am not a developer! Far from it to tell you the truth. I'm just a teenager with too much time on my hands
The general aim:
- To share your homescreen layout with the rest of the XDA community
- Allow others to enjoy your layout on their own device
Requirements for Sharers:
- Keep it clean! (as in "PG" rated)
- Introduce yourself so others know a bit about you (optional)
- Must include device, firmware, ROM, kernel, Model etc. (All can be found under 'Settings -> About Phone/Tablet')
- Must include screenshots
- Must include detailed list of applcations/widdgets/etc.
- Must include setup instructions that are n00b friendly
- Must give due respect to the original layouts creator (if required)
- Include average setup time and any difficulties you incurred
Requirements for comments/critisisms:
- Be respectful and constructive
- If you don’t like something, suggest how to make it better/change it
Any help with managing this thread would be much appreciated. PM me if you are interested.
But for now, let me start off with my layout for my Tablet:
Device: Asus Eee Pad Transformer TF101
Android Version: 3.2.1
Kernel Version: [email protected]#1
Build Number: HTK75.WW_epad-8.6.5.21-20111216

This took me about a day to get to here, mainly due to issues experienced with ADW launcher (just being a bit fiddly )
Credits go to ‘fliparsenal’ and his ‘Hubs Nav+’ Layout:

From the maker:
This Launcher is designed with landscape tablets in mind! (that’s not to say it doesn’t also function well in portrait mode….. as it does)
First off this launcher is based on ADW.Launcher’s Source code so I would like to thank anderweb for all the ground work. Most ADW Themes will work for VTL.Launcher.
Features Include:
- tablet layout optimized (smaller screens will need to play with desktop layout and dock icon size)
- elastic scrolling
- 3 individually configurable/toggleable scrollable dock bars
- individual controls per dock for background/reflection/visibility/icon size
- icon size for docks can be set different per orientation
- user folders to place shortcuts to apps, bookmarks, contacts, etc.
- icon changing for user folders and apps.
- quick action items menu when long pressing apps, folders and widgets.
- catalogs for organizing apps in the app drawers
- swipe actions on app drawer to navigate catalogs
- uncataloged catalog where new and uncatagorized apps fall
- 1 to 7 homes screens with sense-like previews
- configurable action bindings (swipe up, swipe down, home button)
- long hold uninstall from trashcan
- moveable trashcan location
- hide home screen icon labels
- auto rotate orientation
- system persistence with configurable locked orientation
- widget size spanning
- scrollable widget support
- live wallpaper support
- fullscreen mode
- backup/restore settings
- compatible with “most” ADW Themes
This should work on virtually any device. Though non large screen devices may have issues with the layouts so you will have to play with the desktop column, row numbers, dock sizes etc.

I really liked this launcher, but it seems the development has stopped. I even bought version from market, but now, I can't install it anymore...
Will write to the developer.

Version from his web is probably ok, I didn't actually try it. But before, I bought it from the market (version on the market is little bit newer 1.7.0 to 1.6.5), now can't download it from the market anymore.
I guess 1.6.5 will be running pretty fine on my phone, there were just some minor fixes in 1.7.0, but I am just not sure if I want launcher with stopped development...

Hi all! I'm Digitalhigh. I port MIUI for the evo 3d. Resultingly, I've spent a lot of time lately trying to get every little detail perfected. One of the things that bugs me is that the 2x4 weather widget is broken from the factory. Or, to be more precise, the weather feature refuses to work because they rely on their own built-in weather app, which doesn't work in the US.
There exist several clones of this app with varying functionality...one doesn't locate your position, another doesn't default to the system clock, etc., etc.
So, I set out to find a method to properly emulate the MIUI weather app without any loss of functionality or requirement to bounce between six different programs - and discovered UCCW.
(This is probably a great time to point out how bada$$ UCCW is. A lot of widgets are customizeable, but this one takes the cake. The built in WYSIWYG editor is just awesome).
The above image is the full set of weather icons created for this. I'd say about 75% of them are pulled straight from MIUI framework, and the other 25% were created by me to fill in the missing requirements for UCCW.
Original: VS Mine:
And, as you can see, the output is pretty danged good. I am still playing with fonts and such, but for now, I'd like to get feedback on how all the weather icons look. I live in the frigid wasteland known as Wisconsin, so most of my weather updates are going to be very nonplussed. So, if anybody using this has issues reading over any of the weather images, please take a screenshot and post it for me and I'll see what I can do for that image. Thanks!!
As this is designed for MIUI, the assigned hotzones are linked to MIUI apps, and may not work on other ROMS. If you know how to use UCCW, then you know it should be a snap to map these to your ROM's apps.
ALSO, this is designed for the evo 3d's screen, so I'm not sure how the dimensions will work out on other devices. Please let me know.
But - the clock links to the miui deskclock, the date links to the calendar, and clicking the weather icon links to the trusty ol' google news and weather app. Tap the top-right to get into UCCW editor.
So, yeah. Be gentle. I know the corners need a little work and it's my ultimate goal to fully scale the weather icons and add more features, but for what it is, I think it's a good start.
DOWNLOADS:
Download the skin
Download UCCW from the play store
Is it possible to show the weather as mph vs km, or is that just a limitation of UCCW?
Thanks in advance. Looks good! Keep up the great work

Unfortunately, that seems to be the one thing I couldn't find. I'm new to UCCM, so I'm really hoping I just don't know how to do it yet. It is possible to edit the suffix of the wind speed item - but I don't think that it actually changes the value to the MPH equivalent.
Right now I'm trying to do a better job with the overlay - you can kinda see where the mask is undercut by the weather image due to the weird scaling used by UCCW. So, I'm gonna redo every single weather icon and just use a blank bg - I hope this will do the trick. Once that's done, I plan on getting in touch with the author and seeing if that is a feature or if it can be added.
