Hello,
I have rooted my HTC One and flashed a Google Edition Rom with 4.2.2 JB. Tonight I received the notification of the OTA Update to Android 4.3. I know that I can´t install that Update.
I would like to know, if now I can just flash the rom from this thread:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=44233725#post44233725 to update my HTC One GE to 4.3. And do I have to make a date wipe or can I just flash it.
Thank you all very much for your help!

You can flash the Turge's Stock Rom or reflash the stock recovery and update with the OTA

Now that the OTA is out it won't be too long before custom GE roms on 4.3 will be available.

Hello everyone, i hope you can help. My HTC One has been nagging about the system update, but when i click to install it, the phone reboots and enters clockworkmod recovery. I thought it would be like installing a regular .zip, but it seems it wasn't that easy.
How do i apply the OTA update?
And sorry if this is in the wrong forum, couldn't quite tell where exactly to put it.
Any help is appreciated.
Stock recovery.
So there isn't any other way?
Flash a stock ROM based upon n the ota? Why do you want the ota if you're able to flash Roms from xda either stock or custom.
AT&T HTC One
GPe 4.3
You can't install an OTA except through stock recovery. There is no other way.

Good question. I like the stock ROM, but if theres a ROM here that has Android 4.2.2 and Blinkfeed, i guess i could try that instead.
Anyway, thanks for answering my question.
I've had mine Rooted with a custom recovery and a custom rom for months now, I was just wondering when the Sense 4.3 comes will it update everything for me as I cannot get OTA? If not, what do I have to do to get OTA back? Do I just have to install an official rom and recovery img? I'm guessing rooting doesn't stop OTA as I was able to OTA in the past on another phone with it rooted.
thanx.

If you're not updating via OTA, then you're only updating ROM. Firmware and radio can be updated manually if you are s-off or if there's a firmware package that matches your CID and MID.
Flashing back to a stock ROM and recovery will allow you to accept OTA, then you can reroot and reflash custom ROM.

So I have a Sense HTC One which I rooted (TWRP)) and s-offed to install 4.4 GPe stock. Worked absolutely fine but when I try to update the 4.4.2 OTA, TWRP stops with the error - "unexpected contents in /sys/basicdreams.apk
I tried moving the file, deleting the file, downloading a new copy and putting it in /sys - but it just wont work.
Anyone faced this problem?

Wow, so I can never get OTA updates. I need to wait for custom ROM with the update in it? Any 4.4.2 GPe stock ROM out there?

You can flash stock recovery then update then flash back. Is there a problem there? If not there are stock. Roms available. It just takes a little bit of looking.

Hi,
I've got an M7 with a stock 4.3 ROM with root, and CWM 6036 installed. Can I install straight to Lollipop without wiping (stock ROM via update.zip), or should I update to KK first?
I'm planning on updating to the latest CWM beforehand.
Cheers, appreciate any advice.

You'll either have to restore you phone to stock rom and stock recovery and take the ota update or you can flash the latest ruu which will update your phone and wipe everything. Lollipop RUUs are available in the general section.
