I flashed it, but now I am unable to boot into recovery. It takes me to the bootloader instead.
The only way I can get back into recovery is to flash and older version of CWM. Is anyone else having this issue?
Same problem here, with i9020.
i've a german nexus s (.23) it works very well!

I flashed it multiple times in ROM Manager, and I could never get it to work. I will try again later.
Fix permissions then reboot, I had the same issue and that fixed it

It also killed my recovery.
This killed my recovery too. I did as Suprakarma suggested and all is well.
From within RomManager, run the fix permissions script.
(This had a problem on my device, it appears it doesn't like the BusyBox that Titanium Backup installed, so I had to install a new copy from the market).
Once that script's finished, reboot, then reinstall recovery from Rom Manager. Boot into recovery.
Hope that helps.
nop working i fix permition and flash recovery and stell same no working

Do you have to clear data and cache before installing? I remember bootlooping old phones because of that.

no need to wipe says instructions. i didnt and ive flashed both w/ no problems. also, u need to be on 890 for it to work
Calendar seems to be missing...can anyone confirm this, and how do we get this back?
Waited over an hour. I was on 890.. not sure what I did wrong. Maybe I had a faulty 890? Say it didn't flash 890 and I was on stock, where would that put me? Phone is still bootlooping.. when it first turns on, shows motorola symbol with dual core, is on for a few seconds then flashes back to black, you know like before the boot ani. The pulls up same screen.. any way to get back to stock?
Btw- thank you for responding so quickly.

Are you using hashcodes recovery or koush's?
If you're using hashcodes just restore a nandroid by booting into bp tools.
If you're using koush's then you're probably gonna have to rsd flash the xml. You could probably moto-fastboot just the system partition and be fine

Trying to get into bp tools. Won't even boot into cwm, does same boot loop.. uhh am I done for?

Yeah sounds like your /system is pretty botched up. If you just usd rsd lite and flash the xml/sbf and then re-root then install either recovery(I recommend koush's going forward cause of roms) koush's will restore nandroid backups made on hashcodes recovery.
*if your nandroid is on your internal memory you're gonna have to copy it over to your actually sdcard.
Hopefully you made a nandroid haha

Power down. Press the 'm' button on the keyboard. While keeping it pressed it, power the phone up. You'll get a menu wiith bptools and ap fastboot, etc. Volume down navigates, volume up selescts. Go to ap fastboot. Then plug your d3 into your computer and let the drivers instal automatically, then click show devices in rsd and it should be there

Flash a rom. Because there isn't any system installed. This is caused by you formatting it. Also, try making your question more clear next time.

Make sure you have cwm5.
Go to recovery, flash custom zip. And then select the downloaded zip file.

Can't get into Recovery Mode and Download Mode!
Hi there!
I'm having a difficulty in getting into Recovery Mode and also Download Mode!
The Volume up+Power+Home doesn't work and Volume Down+Power+Home doesn't work also. But somehow I can get into Download Mode by pressing down the Volume up+Volume Down+Power Buttons but after that Odin is not recognizing my device!
Any help?
I have Safestrap downloaded, but I was wondering about CWM. Is safestrap the same thing, or would I need to use CWM in custom ROMS? I've looked but couldn't pull anything up. Just wanna know what the safest rout would be.
Safestrap is for phones with locked bootloaders since we have unlocked bootloaders now Safestrap is no longer needed which is why CMW should be the route you take CMW also saves sapace by only have one rom loaded on your internal sd instead of having a stock rom and a custom rom like safestrap did.
So it seems I am gonna download cwm then. Thank you :3

Hello,
I just got my One today, and I've been trying to root it and stuff. I unlocked the bootloader successfully, then tried flashing the custom recoveries. For some reason only cwm (regular) worked; the other ones (cwm touch and TWRP) flashed successfully, but when I tried going into recovery, the phone would be on the "booting into recovery screen", then just turn off.
Anyways, I just continued with cwm regular, but it kept saying "can't mount /cache/recovery/command, log, last_log,..." basically lots of that stuff on the bottom. I ignored that. Then, I put superuser.zip into the SD card, but clockworkmod could not find the sd card stuff.
Finally, in CWM, I formattted /system, /sdcard, /external_sd, /data and /data/media. Then the phone would ONLY boot straight into the bootloader (even if I did NOT hold down), could not even open recovery. So I flashed the same cwm recovery again.
Now I can only go into bootloader and recovery. Sorry for the long post, and thanks for any help in advance.
I'm just guessing but I think it's because you formatted everything and never flashed a rom. So there's just nothing on your phone, it can only boot into the bootloader because everything else was formatted.

That sounds reasonable. Does anyone know how to "put" something on the phone? even just stock stuff, so I can boot?
Relock your bootloader then use an RUU. Then unlock and try again.

Adb push a rom onto the phone. Google adb if you don't know how to use it.

Also download a Rom you want and just click on sideload Rom, you may also have to click install HTC drivers first too.

The thread will eventually drift away. Next time, post in the Q&A forum. More importantly, don't rely on a toolkit to save you. Sometimes, they don't work. The actual fix to this problem is fairly trivial (and to poster above, doesn't necessarily involve ADB either). If were trying to simply push stock software back on, it's three (well, in your case two) fastboot commands:
fastboot flash boot <path-to-boot.img>
flash system <path-to-system.img>
After unzipping a factory .tar. It's worth learning how to do in case this happens again.
