So I got this great Rom and setting runs smoothly, I'm loving it! However, I just can't send mms to anyone. I can send/receive sms and can receive mms but can't send mms. Anyone know if it has anything to do with apn settings? Not quite sure.

It has to be enabled in the message app settings in Sense.
Sorry but can you elaborate a little more? Mms is enabled in my messages app if that's what you mean

Does anyone else have trouble sending gmail? I run cm6 and nfx hero when I feel like some sense, and my incoming mail gets pushed like it should but it won't send. Anyone know why? It won't send on either Rom. Thanks in advance.

Well, I've run into this. If you delete any outbox messages that are stuck (may not be necessary) and then clear data for gmail under manage applications, I believe that once it synchs back up you should be good.
*you'll probably have to do this in both Roms I would imagine.

I deleted the one that was stuck and cleared the data. Will see if that works. Thank you for the tip.

Does anybody have any ideas on how to fix this? I've been doing some digging around myself, but haven't had much luck. If we can at least figure out what is causing it, and get going in the right direction, I'm positive we can get it fixed. I've got a few Android geniuses at my disposal also who I'm working with to get things smoothed out.
If your not digging the stock MMS app and don't like GoSMS like me, I've been using the MMS.apk from Cyanogen Mod 9. It has the same issues as the stock app, but at least it looks good. Just replace your stock one in /system/app and match the permissions of the stock ( 0644 ).

Have you tried Handsent? I haven't had any issue with mms.
I've tried them all.. I just can't get used to it. And I can receive pics but they won't send and my texts seem to cut off at 80 char. I've tried APNs, but that didn't help.

I also have been getting my texts cut off at 80 characters. Is there some way we can force the system to chop the original message into separate texts, each being 80 characters max? It's not a GREAT fix, but it seems easy enough to me, as GOSMS can do the same thing, only with 160 chars.
I just bought an SIII, so i havent been messing with the thrill too much. I think its just a 4.0 problem though. Ive got nothing to go on at this point, but if anyone has some tips I'd be glad to try it out since I can use it as a tester.

I know this might seem like a noob question but whenever I open a text in the stock messaging app there is a second or so delay before it opens. I was just curious if this is normal.
It is if the message thread is long and/or contains mms messages

It does it with all messages. No matter the length or content. It's not an instant pop up like lets say kik.
I recently purchased a Straight Talk plan ($45/mo) so I could use my Vivid as a phone. I have consistently been updating my ROM and testing out CM10.x, CM11, RR, PAC, AOKP... Anyway, while using the latest PAC rom, I noticed that I too had issues with sending and receiving MMS messages. Rignfool had previously posted a fix wherein one would download hangouts and use that, but I did not have success with this method (it might have been because I'm on ST as opposed to AT&T, or maybe I've always been flashing hangouts as a replacement default SMS app).
Anyway, I found that in my situation (clean install of PAC rom 8-6-2014 (android 4.4.4), flashing stock pa gapps, and flashing a backup of my user apps made through Titanium Backup), installing 8sms and then choosing it as my default SMS app in settings (just called "messaging" in my case). I made no changes to my APN at this point (my settings APN was Straight AT&T, tfdata), and sending pictures worked without a hitch!
I'm making this thread to discuss any ways to fix/workaround any MMS issues, with the hopes of uncluttering the development threads and actually getting solutions to those with problems.

Hangouts installed as a user app, or as a system app (I assume when you flash the full modular or stock pa gapps it gets installed as a system app)?

i second this.. but only when im using hangouts as my sms/mms app and not the stock messaging app, that works fine on wifi calling. I am willing to bet you are using hangouts too?

Yea likely an APN issue with hangouts and whatever APN the WiFi calling uses, like I said it will work fine in stock messaging but I doubt sprint will help us fix it in hangouts. You can try playing around with your apns in hangouts to see I'd that helps
any fixes?

so I was going through the APN settings on hangouts on my Note 4 and there are quite a few, has anyone figured out the magic one yet? im guessing that itd be the same no matter what device we have...at least I am hoping. it doesn't help that it doesn't have numbers or anything attached to the APNs
