My OB usually lags on some games, on the homescreen, on the camera etc.
Is there anyway to stop this lag?
what rom you're using ? stock ?

Yes, Stock 2.2.2 v10f Rooted
It will be better if I update to the 2.3.4 and root it again?
As for the homescreen just install Launcher Pro. Its like 4X smoother than it nearest rival. Smoother than my iphone4.
I use CM7 with the stock gingerbread launcher and i have no lag at all in the GUI and most casual games (dont know about processor heavy games though).
As far as I know even upgrading to GB stock (if you can) is much better that froyo.
So if I want to update to the 2.3.4 through the LG Updater thing. Is that possible? Will I mantain the root or not?
I really want to reduce some lag...
Use smartflash and flash the cracked v20b (2.3.4) software. The only way to update and maintain root. Do backup all your stuff before this and do it at your own risk.

They have the eMMc brick bug if you wipe data or factory reset...unless you use a custom kernel like franco or speedmod.
I have found myself getting more wakelocks with LQ2 , multipdp is taking up way more juice.
Changed the radio to a newer one and made no difference.
Only thing I have noticed is that I don't get pixel salad / garbled screen in LQ2 which I did in LPY now and then. Seems more stable to me.

Generally yes, after initial disappointment with LPY, i find the LQ2 with Franco kernel quite satisfactory (no revelations though), so I'm not going back to GB,
or you may want to wait for Samsung to release brick-free update - reportedly they're working on it (ETA unknown),
or wait for stable release of CM9, which should provide the best Android-experience ever
Thanks a lot !

Why you were disapointed by LPY? Im running it and it works just fine.
Does XXLQ2 has better battery life than LPY?

LPY worked ok, only battery consumption was much higher than on GB, and I could not find any way to make it behave. LQ2 -on my device - seems to have it solved (battery current usage in standby mode - with data off - below 10mA)
My Note is my daily driver and with LPY runs very good but battety life very poor after flash LQ2 my device runs more smooth and also battery life is better
Hello Guys ,
I am new here .
I want to install Mini CM Rom in my Sony Xperia X8.
I want to ask which version would be best for me .?
1) miniCM7 i.e Ginger Bread with nAa
2) miniCM9 i.e Icecream Sandwich with nAa-ics
or 3) miniCM10 i.e Jelly Bean... with nAa-jb
Will my cellphone will hang, run slow on miniCM9 or miniCM10....?
Also I have heard GingerDX is a good ROM which works with stock kernel also.. should i consider it over mini ICM....?
----> My phone is having stock kernel, stock ROM and not been Rooted even once..

If you can unlock bootloader:
Minicm7 is a good choice for day to day use, gaming.interface doesn't look pretty
iXperia 8s v1.9.0 is a perfect rom for gaming, high multitasking, much free ram, iPhone look you may like or hate it also fmradio doesn't work on this rom (& some other known bugs)
Minicm9 is quite stable (comparing to minicm9) needs swap partition for better responsibility, around 20% slower than minicm7, most of gameloft games force close (because of android 4) ,perfect interface (I love it)
Minicm10 is for experiences of jellybean , forget gaming , not stable (still in nightly versions)
,perfect interface (better than Minicm9)
If you can't unlock :
Gingedx & froyopro are perfect, very stable & smooth
Depending on your bootloader & your personal expectation choose your rom
I like minicm9

You need an unlocked bootloader in order to play temple run(needs swap to extend RAM & better 3D performance)
I'm not sure about hotspot in froyopro, but I'm 99% sure that gingerdx supports hotspot & app2sd.

you can install gdx on lock bootloader
but....(gdx for stock)
for the best result.use custom kernel.try to unlock your bootloader.since your on 11w17.
now you can use gb (gdx) ,ics or jb.(cm7,9,10)
minimum edition
I have gb rom 2.3.6 didn't move to ics cause I didn't like the desgin
is JB roms are stable?? better than the JB ons?
I installed Slim Bean 4.2.2 just about a week ago, came from stock 2.3.6 and I am not regretting it
This ROM just flies, it's super fast, stable and fancy looks
I didn't miss my slow 2.3.6 every since, should have flashed earlier

Totally agree, the current jb roms work great and are highly configurable.Last Tsumami 4.5.Saludos.
I am running CM10.1 and it is rock solid. You will not regret the switch.
I've got Helly Bean 4.2.2 up and running on my Galaxy S and this thing's almost as fast as my N4!
And not a single JB user can set external sdcard as target for photo or HD video from camera?
if ur a hardcore gamer then stay with stock value pack , jb roms use more ram than value pack so r slow in playing games but the interface is smoother

I recommend this rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2075637.
Or Slim rom. JB 4.2.2 are the best. Stable and faster than GB or ICS.
don't hesitate
Also In developer tools choose 3 background processes.
ROW scheduling in Performance menu
Slim rom simply the best ... blazing fast! i recomend slim with mackay kernel..

This is not true, there are JB roms like ts1506's CyanAOSP which are much much better than stock 2.3.6. I could not play hardcore games on stock which is why i switched to CyanAOSP
Go for any AOSP rom CyanAOSP, SuperNexus,... They all are smooth n good for gaming n good battery backup

i running CM10.0 didnt like 10.1 based roms, so will stick to CM10 with this phone.
It's MUCH more stable. Benchmarks are MUCH better. But it's not recommended to restore titanium backup after update because of compatibility issues
Yep, if u go to any AOSP JB ROM you'd be surprised how your SGS can work smootly, stable and fast.
I didn't try CyanAOSP but it seems like good choice. Right now i'm on supernexus with semaphore and it works like a charm.
Just try JB. You'll love it. Much smoother andere faster!

Good day friends, I used my phone for about 2 months last day ı downgrade my phone to gb it was stable then ı install some games for example frontline commando temple run2 and launch games games are too slow and laggy ı was nervous and back to XXLQG how I do to get performance GB ? If I use GB few days and test it or continue to use Jelly Bean. Please stop calling me ''flash kernel'', custom roms How I do?
SORRY FOR MY AMATOUR ENGLİSH BECAUSE I AM TURK
In my opinion, Jellybean is much better in Gaming, Memory management and app processing than Gingerbread... So you better use JB with CoCore E 6.2 or 6.8 kernel - this is what I have done and I don't see much lags, etc... If you are more into gaming then try a good Custom ROM or Performance scripts then...

Oh but that will be hard because the phone can't give its "best" performance if you are using stock kernel.. the only way would be to root it and install custom kernel and scripts...
One more thing, if you wish to reclaim your warranty, you can always flash your country's firmware with Odin or just Factory Reset (using your country's firmware) and since that will reset everything to factory default - the root access will be gone and so the sales person can't tell whether you were rooted or not..
