[Q] Update problem after RUU

Hello guys, converting my One into a GE i wanted to return to stock via RUU. I did change my cid to HTC__001 (WWE), flashed stock Hboot and successfully flashed WWEstock via RUU. After that i wanted to update my firmware and i received the 1.29.401.12 (4.1.2) update and installed it. After installing the firmware i want to receive the 4.2.2 update and checked for an update but it says my phone is up to date. After trying a couple of times to get an update i couldn't get anything. I reinstalled RUU but the result is same i get one update after that nothing. What can i do to update my firmware to 2.24.401.1 Please help.. thanks.

Cannot update to 4.3 with sense 5.5?

I followed the guide below to change my CID to HTC_13 to get the 4.2.2 update faster. Everything was fine.
Today my phone detected the 4.3 update with sense 5.5 and after I download it and I click install, the phone reboots and it installs for a while before a Red Exclamation in a red triangle appears.
After a while it reboots and Im asked to download the update again. Can You tell me why this is so?
I'm on S-OFF and Unlocked bootloader.

Bootloader has to be locked and you must have a stock recovery

I just locked my bootloader using commang fastboot oem lock and still same issue. Can you suggest why?

Have you stock recovery? You cannot use any other

I've no idea. So long as you're 100% stock, have the right CID and MID you should have no issues. It worked fine for me, but then again I'm S-OFF so whether that has anything to do with it I don't know as I downloaded the OTA and flashed it manually in the stock recovery

Me to.. just back 100% stock RUU 1.26.xxx.x and I didn't receive any ota update

bootloader doesnt have to be locked to received and install the update
can you verify what exactly was the first update you received?
after returning to stock yesterday, i received two updates and downloaded both
first update was some firmware fix and the second was the 4.3 update
both run flawlessly and now i am on stock 4.3 sense 5.5
s-off, unlocked bootloader

Does flashing a RUU also install the correct recovery? I have my HTC One S-off, unlocked and changed the CID to 11111111, flashed the RUU and now when I get the OTA it just comes up with the error that my version of Android is modified so it can not be updated.
What have I done wrong?

I'm currently on JB 4.3 ( OS 3.62.401.1 , CID HTC__32, HBOOT 1.55 ) and I keep receiving the OTA update notifications for KK 4.4.2.
But my device is unlocked, rooted and S-OFF .
Does anyone know the necessary steps to upgrade to 4.4.2 ?
I've tried the followings:
- fastboot flash recovery a stock recovery for 4.3
- then tried the OTA update but it stops with a red triangle
- I have locked back the bootloader with ./revone -l and tried again the OTA update , the same thing happens
- tried factory reset then OTA update, the same red triangle ...
Can someone help me and guide me what to do next, please ... I'm out of ideas ?

it's probably cause you don't have the preloaded apps (because of unlock)
1- UNLOCK again!!! with S-Off you don't need to LOCK/RELOCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
2- install this: http://www.htc1guru.com/dld/guru_reset_m7_3-62-401-1-zip/
(with stock recovery)
then take the OTA
DO NOT GO S-ON

You could try ARHD 51.0 which runs 4.4.2 since you're rooted and S-OFF.

You don't need any recovery image that tool will do the recovery for you (it has the recovery image in the kit)
nkk71 posted above the link for that tool.

what about user with HTC One Dualsim 802w and 802d ?? how to restore preloaded apps?

Which pre-loaded apps would those be? I'm wondering if I install this, am I going to lose my current settings and data?

cannot perform OTA updates after relocking the bootloader and s-on

i recently did a SIM unlock for lollipop with s-on , After finishing the unlocking process i relocked the bootloader .When the got a software update for stagefright fix i downloaded them but after download the phone went to recovery and did nothing ,there was some error displayed . why i can't update my ROM after the bootloader was unlocked and with s-on?

Is your recovery stock? If not, the OTA won't work.

The recovery is stock ,I'm getting an error as some oem image.bmp missing

Need help to update Htc One M7

Hi
I have Htc One M7 international phone.
My phone was on s/w verrion no : 4.19.401.9 ( Android version 4.4.2)
Boot loader : unlcoked
phone : rooted.
Recovery : TWRP.
But I want to update my phone to official OTA 4.19.401.11.
So I Relocked bootloader, unroot my phone, install stock recovery.
now my bootloader screen shows:
***TEMPERED****
***RELOCKED****
hboot version 1.56
And it's S-ON.
I downloaded OTA file on phone itself, but it's not updating.
Try RUU file, which is not opening in PC.
Then I downloaded 4.19.401.11 OTA file to my PC.
When I tried to update it via adb sideload method from recovery( adb sideload), stock recovery didn't show apply update from adb option.
So please suggest what should I do to update my phone?

hi any expert on HTC phones please guide.
IS IT possible to update directly to Lollipop from kitkat 4.4.2 ???

Update.
I have downloaded this RUU.
RUU_M7_UL_K44_SENSE55_MR_HTC_Europe_4.19.401.9_R_Radio_4A.23.3263.28_10.38r.1157.04L_release_353069_signed_2-1.
But whenever I try to run it( as administrator), it automatically closes after EULA page.
What should I do to run this RUU??

AT last I am able to update my HTC ONE M7 international to version no: 4.19.401.11.

And today I am able to update to 5.11.401.10 also.
Request to mods, please close the thread as my problem is solved.
