Today I learned that the SGS3 has a dual core processor. This whole time I thought it was quad core but that's just the international version. I always thought is was better than the Atrix HD but learning about them both having the same S4 processor and same Adreno 225 GPU I still want to know which one is best. 2GB of RAM gets my attention but maybe its no big deal?

indeed s3 has the same snapdragon s4. And 2Gb Ram is nice bonus. I have to give up Opera, because 300Mb free ram insufficiently.

Intel. There was a time when the i3 was the top of the line, and then i5 but now with the things we do with our computers, etc. The i7 would probably be the best choice. That's what I did
Looking forward to it. Got a custom build laptop. 8gb ram. i7. Nvidia 1gb card. Ssd hd.

I love AMD for my gaming rigs...cheap and good.
W/ that said for a laptop I'd go with an i5 or higher and call it a day.
I think that you'll get better suited with an Intel i5.
I bought a pc to my girlfriend with an AMD processor and today I regret it, she likes it but when I need to use it, well, let's just say that could be better..

I think you can choose AMD, for best price and performance comparison.
AMD have better onboard graphic, I think.
Bought a AMD. My actual PC. Regret it infinitely...

I would be interested how it effects the score.

Some of the reported low benchmarks are not matching real life use. Everyone is reporting EXTREMELY snappy gameplay and app usage on the Nexus 4. What's the deal?? This must really solidify the moniker that benchmarks aren't everything.

It may also have something to do with the 4.2 update. Just like two years ago when the Nexus S came out and quadrant kept crashing all the time because it wasn't compatible with GB.
can we get a quadrant?
Could someone please also run Linpack?
I think as what qreffie said, the benchmark software isn't optimized yet for the new phones and therefor it shows bad scores

It feels like the N4 should score about the same. I also think it has something to do with the 4.2 update and the apps not optimised for it.

Quite low. Not impressed.
Based on some benchmarks sure but after owning so many Google phones, Nexus 7, ASUS transformer, trying modified kernels and overclocks, ...my head is spinning, this is a totally different experience.

Don't worry folks!! When we get some custom kernels we'll see what this phone is all about.
My phone (Dual core s4 Evita) only got around 4200 on quadrant... and probably 170 on linpack which is fast as hell compared to most devices.. after a few months of development the phone is a completely different device. This device will be even better!! More source, bigger dev community etc.
This is what I get on my custom ROM at stock speeds with half the ram and half the cores.. just imagine what the nexus will be like by January

dose really the device working on quad core mode
As far as we know our atrix HD, doesn't have official maintain from CM team. We have open bootloader, our device is wide spread and very nice, I like it much more than s3. And I have question, what do we have to do to get official cm?
Отправлено с моего MB886 через Tapatalk
We need to have everything working. Without nifty hacks. And then we submit. Epinter is working on getting us into the official cm program

I had atrix 4g, and that was great phone, but Motorola killed it for me. I was tired and sick to wait for official ics and I changed that for atrix HD. I hope atrix hd will get cm maintain in nearest future.

I am very eager to see CM on the atrix HD. I switched from a Galaxy Nexus when AT&T turned on LTE in my area. The atrix HD is similar in size and hardware to the GNex, which is why I went for it. I'm hoping for a good AOSP experience soon. Thank you!
Here's hoping.
