Did you do all three wipes? If not, first do that. Wipe Data/Factory Reset, Wipe Cache Partition, then go to Advanced & Wipe Dalvik Cache. Then to Mounts & Storage, Format Cache, Format Data & Format System. Now try to install ROM and again do all three wipes and this time don't touch Mounts & Storage. Hope, this will work.
If the above procedure fails then go to Stock ROM and then install CM9 or CM10. You can use Odin to flash the Stock ROM.

I installed stock 2.3.4 with odin and I try to install again but same error. It stucks at Samsung Logo.
There is something. When I select wipe Data/Factory reset there is one error "format_volume: rfs format failed on /dev/block/mmcblk0p2"

What recovery are you using ?

Hi!
you need to wipe three caches: factory, cache and dalvik (in advanced page).

[Q] Galaxy Tab: Overcome to CM9

Hi,
I have a Galaxy Tab P-1000, and some months ago I installed the Overcome 7 v.4.1.0 ROM following this guide: www .teamovercome.net/p1000/?page_id=17.
Now I'd like to install the new official CM9, but I don't know which steps I have to follow, since I don't have a stock rom anymore.
This is the guide I'm trying to follow: wiki.cyanogenmod.com/wiki/Samsung_Galaxy_Tab_%28GSM%29:_Full_Update_Guide
Should I simply follow the steps in the "Flashing CyanogenMod" section, since I already have installed the Overcome ROM with its "Overcome CwMod Recovery version 4.1.0.9"?
Thanks
Yes, put cm9 zip and gapps zip in sdcard,
Boot to cwm recovery,
Then wipe cache, data and dalvik cache, then flash cm9 (may need to do twice) then flash gapps.

[Q] Issue installing CM10 Nightly

So, it`s my first custom rom so i don't have any experience with it, so yes, i'm a noobie.
I've seen the ICS 4.0 Sources Out thread for a while and when i saw the CM10 release by arcee i decided to give it a try
but got stuck on LG boot logo.
What i did:
1. install cwm recovery v4.0.0.5
2. wipe data/factory reset
3. wipe cache partition
4. install cm-10-20121030-nightly-p990.zip (success install)
5. reboot system now
Then it get stucked at the lg logo... i can acess the cwm and try to reflash the ROM... but it'll get stuck at the same logo
Any solution?
Thanks
EDIT1: Ok, i just flashed a stock rom and it worked... now i'm on stock gingerbread 2.3.4, any tutorial to install cm10?

How i do that? i don't see that option on cwm recovery
"
-reboot system now
-apply update from sdcard
-wipe data/factory reset (that's the one i used)
-wipe cache partition
-install zip from sdcard
-backup and restore
-mounts and storage
-advanced
-power off
-go back
"
EDIT1: I tried to format /system but it says "unable to mount"... mount doesn't work either
EDIT2: Backup file it isn't working... totally f***** up
1: wipe data/factory reset
2: wipe cache
3: advanced>wipe dalvik cache
4: mounts n storage>format data, format cache n format system
this is what is meant by full wipe
5: install CM10
6: install latest gapps package for jb
7: reboot system
this should work

What am I doing wrong?
Hi!
I never used CM7 or any custom rom.
I had 20s flashed via kdz.
I'm root. I installed ClockWorkMod recovery 4.0.0.5 and made clean cache, wipe dalvik etc.
I installed CM10 from zip (it only took a few seconds!) and rebooted. It showed two LG logos and never passed that.
I kept reading and saw this thread so I used smartflash to go back to FROYO, rooted, installed CWM and installed the last CM7 nightly (only a few seconds!) and rebooted.
All I get is a static LG logo and nothing else. I don't know what to do!
Thanks and sorry about my english!

How do I install Nvflash? I have found tutorials for it but they are for the g2x. Will it still work?
I bought an o2x to replace my sgs1 which is great with cm10.
My story:
Phone was used and bone stock with froyo and 725bb
Rooted
Installed rom manager then flashed cwm 6.0.1.5 from rom manager
wiped everything
installed latest CM7
usb mass storage stopped working (was working with stock froyo)
copied latest cm10 nightly and gapps to an sdcard
wiped again
flashed cm10 and gapps
now I'M stuck on cyanogenmod logo and the lower buttons are lightning
repeated the process few times and still stucked at cm logo
Any ideas? Thanks!
*Update* Removed the battery and restarted the phone and now it seems to be working!

Ace bootlooping with all cyanogenmod roms

I own a Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830 running on android 2.3.6 with build number GINGERBREAD.DDKQ8.I successfully rooted my device(SU icon in the app drawer), flashed cwm5.0.2.6 with no error.
I flashed gingercruzt 2.2, cm 7.1,7.2,9,10 with the following instructions:
1) Wipe data/factory reset
2) Wipe cache partition
3) Under advanced, wipe dalvik cache
4) Flashed the rom.
After rebooting for the first time, this happens(for every rom I tried):
The phone boots into the rom(the capacitive buttons get turned on) -> setup window is reached -> then the phone starts booting again->in further boots it reaches cm logo only and keeps on booting again and again.
I tried wiping data, cache partition, dalvik cache and reboot. None of it worked.
I flashed the roms again .But still stuck at bootloop.
Ps : I randomly took my sim out and did a complete wipe and the roms work fine!!!.
But with sim again, the same problem persists.
PLEASE HELP.THANKS IN ADVANCE.
If you have installed any custon rom previous than i suggest you to first flash fresh ddkq8 stock and than try to install ur custom rom..
It might be happening because of previous rom data !

Problem could be your simcard? How is that even possible. Try flashing with your sim out then insert it after the rom is installed.

Did you mount the /system? Sometimes you have to do this.
Boot into CWM, mounts and storage > mount /system
Check to see that everything is mounted, sd-ext may or may not work, don't worry about it, it's a big in most CM9 ROMs

[q] missing system ui and camera buttons after flashing stock german jb rom

No notification panel, no task manager, no buttons in camera after flashing stock German jb rom on rooted stock ics(Indian rom) using pc Odin...what could have gone wrong?
Flash philz kernel.
Reboot into recovery and wipe data cache and dalvik.
You should be good.
If not wipe data cache dalvik system preload and .androidsecure in Philz and then ref lash ROM in PC Odin.
If you continue to have problems after that then post back.
Please hit thanks If this helped.

Is it necessary to flash philz kernel or should I just clear dalvik and data cache...then reflash ??

No, try first with cleaning cache and dalvik cache. Reboot and check again.
If cache cleaning doesn't help then you might try reflashing it.
You should flash philz before any wipes.
You said yoiure on rooted stock...as in stock kernel too, no?

why not do a clean install of JB by formatting system and data partitions
