Google Wallet NFC Libs
Is there someone out there that has extracted the NFC Libs from the Sprint HTC One?
Sprint includes the necessary libs for the secure element the Wallet Requires, does anybody know which ones these are? I would like to have a flashable zip that we can push these lib files to the other variants of the HTC One. I have an OP with multiple methods on how to install Wallet for the Note 2 because I have the Lib files that make it work...That is the missing piece for the HTC One that I can't find anywhere. Anyone willing to pull these libs or has someone already done this? Thanks
Link below to my Google Wallet OP - this is what it would look like except tailored to each Carrier for the One
Google Wallet OP
this is not a request section
its for Android Development and Roms
Right where all the developers are who would understand the request, this is development for getting Google Wallet to work on all the variants, something you don't have to worry about because Sprint doesn't block it...Could use help rather than comments like this that don't help...Feels like a waste of time and typing to go against the grain rather than just try and help "DEVELOP" a fix for the other variants

Not disagreeing with your sentiment, but this probably would fall under themes and apps more than it would the development sections (since you're not actually building anything towards Sprint users). That said, I'm not entirely sure if our files will help too much given we're likely to be behind what most other One users are running at this point in terms of software.

I get what you are saying but it's not an app, we don't need a theme or app, we need libs and system files that enable the secure element for Wallet to work. Your files should help because Wallet works for Sprint, other variations of the phone you get insufficient keys get what I mean

Regardless of where the developers may be, the development forums are for releasing things that the OP is actually developing, such as ROMs, kernels, etc. hence I am moving this thread to the Q&A section.
Thanks for understanding.

What happened to the honeybunches thread? What was the reason it was deleted??
OP requested that his thread be deleted.
Huh okay, thanks.
Was a reason given? Is he working on a newer version? I donated money and although I understand that a donation is giving someone money without precondition, an explanation would be the polite thing to do.

You donated money to someone for a small tweak on the Honeycomb SDK port that deeper-blue had created... Your loss.
Not really, I appreciated his work. And since I cannot contribute to the community with expertise, I choose to do so with money since I am generally a fan of the work put out by others on this board. Trust me, if blue had a donate link I would be one of the first to kick in some cash. But he hasn't and despite being a "minor tweak" the build was still quite good.
I DENIED ALL DONATIONS... NO MONEY WAS TAKEN. I didnt want any legal issues with google. I saw in deepers q&a about the market.

Not a problem, I apologize if I stepped on your privacy.
He deleted his post because it was becoming quite apparent that he was blatantly copying someone else's work. Taking a "picture" (diskimage) of a working version of someone else's work with a couple of apks added to it does not make it "your custom rom". He had no business giving advice on technicalities of Honeycomb that he had no understanding of, and it's no wonder that Blue wouldn't give this kid the time of day and "work together" on future builds...I'm really surprised no one called him on it earlier than now...
I do believe the reason for the OP deleting was merely the fact that you aren't meant to include GApps (Market, Gmail, Maps etc..) inside ROMS or devices that aren't licensed by Google. That's why you don't see cheap Android tablets with the Android Market on - Google hasn't licensed them too. Same applies to ROMS.
Actually Marcusant wasn't just adding "a few apks." He tweaked DB's release to make an image that would fit a 2gb card for those that didn't have access to bigger cards.
Yep--makes it even shadier-- Here is his math, in base form:
(Deep Blue's build) + (Google's Gapps) + (LauncherPro) = ("MY CUSTOM ROM" WOOT?)
It was wrong on every level.
Zeroing out space and using a partition tool still leaves you with someone elses exact work underneath. Not an excuse. Fine (IMO) to post as a image of DB's build, but NOT as 'my custom rom'. Anyone else agree?

Do you think that Google would sue the guy over a rom on his nook color he was using for personal use? I don't. I could see it if he was selling the rom or selling nooks he rooted and put the market on. If Google were going to sue it probably would have started a long time ago with all of the devices that have been rooted and the market was put on. Or it would have started when the nc was first rooted and the market was put on it.
Why would they sue? As long as people are using it like they should then google is just MAKING MORE MONEY by us having the market on another device to buy apps with.
Marcusant did google ask you to take your thread down?
Just to clarify, deeper-blue was fine with my work...

By your assessment, Deep Blue is just copying someone else's work too (i.e. Google). I thought the point of this forum is for people to find ways of making our devices work better, or making it easier to make our devices work better?
The only real issue, that I can see here, is that he included the Market. He also made several tweaks (tweaks Deep Blue did not make), including raising the DPI and making it fit on a 2GB card.
This is not supposed to be a site about egos or who's copying who. He gave credit to Deep Blue and this is all that is necessary. He never claimed to have created the whole thing himself.

Really???? Maybe you should rethink that statement. There is no record whatsoever of deeperblue ever responding to one of your posts, or questions needing help from him on Xda. Having to communicate with someone that is 'fine with your work' by posting "DEEPER BLUE PLEEEASE READ" messages in their thread should be all the evidence you need. You might want to actually talk to him before making these claims.

At the moment it's still not possible, but the tool apparently gives them a huge leap forward in development towards this goal.
They've been looking for something like this for a few years now I believe.

My understanding i that this is the SDK for the SoC on the S5 and other phones. It includes a qualcomm dev signing cert but I'm almost 100% certain that no production phone from AT&T will accept BL's signed by the qc dev cert (or someone would have used it to sign one of the unlocked BL's by now plus if that were the case my guess is qc would be freaking out and sending takedown notices by now). So basically if Samsung or AT&T were to provide the signing key or somehow we were to brute force it(very unlikely) we would now be able to easily sign packages for the phone. So while helpful, without the signing keys it doesn't really do anything except provide more insight into how the whole secure boot process works.

I am requesting an official Sub-Forum for the Sprint Galaxy S4 Tri-Band.
While most roms work from the original variant, None of them support the radio correctly. As an example, using any kernel on stock TW will kill the radio, and users have to search and wade through the SPH-L720 forums to find info/files for our device.
A sub forum with the requirement of supporting the Tri-band version would be helpful to the Sprint S4 community, as it would stop much of the confusion of using the same forum, when it is not the same device. I also believe it would help gather more attention for what is now the standard sprint S4.
P.S. I have posted this in the appropriate thread, I just want to see how much of you want the same thing.

Absolutely!
We have needed this for quite some time now... Just having a thread or a few is not enough, come on XDA Administration, don't you think it has been long overdue?
I would like a sub forum for it.
Agreed, I realize it is a pain to setup for a small(?) Amount of users, but it would be much more convenient to locate information on my phone.
Sorry guys. This will not happen. What needs to be done is ROM developers need to properly label in their titles or OPs whether the tri-band is properly supported. As stated the same ROMs flash and do not cause bricks so there is no danger therefore no needed extra forum.
It's not just ROMS, it's also T specific tweaks.

Which can be made into a flashable zip....point is, there is no danger to either version. This is a development site and people should understand what they are flashing on their phone. As mentioned...ask that developers properly label their OP or thread title whether or not tri-band is supported.

No disrespect to you, but I think you are missing the point as to why have a sub forum with-in this forum. There are so many questions throughout this forum now that are mixed in with other threads and digging through to find the information is a challenge for anyone new. A lot of the questions for the T version become un-answered. If there were a place where all the threads could be in one place that would be great! Besides it would not be hard for it to be added. The only reason I could think of is if no one wanted to mod the section to keep people in check.

Moderation is not an issue at all. It would just be included in the US Samsung team of 48 existing devices. I think the point is being missed that there is not enough differences in hardware to warrant it as 99% of the work is compatible and the only issues will be not taking full advantage of the tri-band spectrum. Look at the Galaxy Nexus forum. There is an international device and a Sprint CDMA device sharing the same forum just fine. The only difference is that the international ROMs WILL brick the Sprint device so another development subforum was added. In this case all you would need to do is flash a compatible ROM. Add to that this is not the place to ask for more device forums. It is here. But as I said, I can guarantee it will be denied based on the reasons I already stated.
The only T specific questions that I would expect to see are issues with tri-band connectivity (welcome to Sprint) and what ROMs are T-friendly. If the ROM threads are properly titled then there would be no need for the last question.

The only problem with that theory is that MOST GS4 owners have the earlier version. So they can't add Tri Band support to their rom.
This sub forum would be a place where you KNOW everything has Tri Band.
It would actually push developers to support Tri Band because currently nobody does.
My main point being is that it wouldn't hurt anyone. It would only help those of us that have the upgraded model.
Also TW Kernels break the radio on stock. JS

I gave you the link to where you can post your request. My point is that devices with similar hardware do not get their own forum. It does not get done unless there is potential for damage to the other device...there isn't. You can flash any ROM on either device. If you realize you are one of the few with a tri-band phone and your LTE isn't working you would simply flash a ROM that does support it. Unless you can show that there is a potential for damage then you will have to read the OP of the ROMs you are choosing to flash on your $700 device..sounds like something everyone should be doing.

This is to spread awareness that it should be done, and by the poll i think most people agree.
It's like Cyanogenmod. you don't have an official build until EVERY hardware feature is supported.
I really don't get why anyone would have anything against this change. it doesn't hurt the website, it doesn't hurt the regular L720 forum.
It benefits the community. which i'm pretty sure is what this website is about.

Actually this is a development site created by developers for developers. It is not a support site. As for your poll of 13 votes, it is kind of biased as only people with that device are voting...not much difference in asking a teenager "Do you want your own room." I hardly think 13 people are going to sway admin to start a new precedent. You don't seem to understand that there are MANY devices with more than one release of a hardware variant. As it is now members go to the wrong S4 forum. Look at the big picture for once..imagine a site with another 1000 forums due to slight hardware vbariances...only requiring one thing..for the member to read. If you go to the Sprint HTC M8 forums there is 2 devices there...the original M8 release and the Harman-Kardon device. If you flash ROMs without the H-K files or firmware you will lose the Harman-Kardon features...that does not justify making their own forum...and guarantee you will get 13 votes if you had a similar poll there. This is not about fighting you on one small community of devices, this is about a site precedent and not spoon feeding members for every little thing. It is expected that members do the research before flashing anything...if they do not know to check for the proper support in a ROM then they should not be flashing ROMs. They should stay on stock and get the full support the manufacturer has provided.
The best thing that someone can do for development and the community is to make a thread in General of all the ROMs that support the T device. Keep it maintained with any updates and new work. THAT is how you help the community. I see one has been created...excellent! http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2660866
I appreciate your passion for this request but you really are not seeing beyond your own needs here. You have to look at the big picture and how this site is set up and run....not that we are failing to grant you this "small" request. And did you not think that this would mean developers would have to support 2 threads in 2 forums rather than one thread in one forum and have a flashable zip to make it T compatible. Developers time is valuable as they do this for free, as a hobby and with great cost to their personal and family time. Most do not want to create and support an additional thread and ROM for such a minor variance. If there is ever a firmware upgrade that causes bricks between these variants I am sure Admin will look at this request more closely.

I get it, I really do, but a sub-forum really wouldn't get in the way of anything. i'm not really asking for a whole new forum. That thread just says what works, none of them support the radio itself. But is a sub forum where we can take care of each other easier really spoon feeding?
Like under the theme and apps forum have our 720T specific forum.

I really don't think you do. If you did, then you would realize that making a seperate subforum for people who cannot be bothered to read an OP IS spoon-feeding. If there is no damage to the phone then simply properly labeling the thread title resolves this. Also as mentioned, a proper flashable zip with radio and support files will also make all ROMs compatible.
After lurking for years, I will make my first post in support of this idea.
I am in favor of this I have an 720 and a 720t would make it a little easier.

I really get what Kenny is saying .... but it isn't just the roms. Many of the xposed modules do not work for example. And I am not sure whether its being 4.4.2 or 720T. I can't get tethering to work without paying for an app (which I did). There is a 66 page thread about 720T related stuff because its just different enough to be a pia. At the very least we should all maybe try to label every 720t post with [720T] so that its easily searchable. Still means we have to do a search every time, but would be a little better in the meantime. Also, I had no idea there was such a thing as a 720T until I got this one as an insurance replacement. Perhaps this thread will at least let others in the forums know that such a thing exists and encourage everyone to specify 720 vs 720T when they are making posts so as to avoid confusion.
Yes, absolutely. I was thinking the same exact thing. This is a unique device that needs a sub forum.

Unlikely, as it needs Dalvik to work (this is why Xposed doesn't work with ART)

Yeah he doesn't want to do too much work based on the developer preview as its not a baseline. Subject to massive change.
Its a lot of work because ART is not JiT based, so it cannot intercept code at time of execution because its pre-loaded

Why is this posed in an N6 forum?
because Nexus 6 will be the 1st true phone to use the new ART and no Dalvik.
I remember the Dev saying that xposed will be ready once ART is finalized. He has already put a lot for work into the module so why let it die off with 4.4.4?
Yeah the first modules I'm installing is XMultiWindow then GravityBox for my PIE control on the right side of the screen, talk about a optimized Nexus phablet setup...
Rovo has stated that Xposed will eventually support ART, just not immediately. Certain elements of Xposed are already in development for ART, he's just waiting for the final release of Lollipop to do the heavy lifting because it wouldn't make sense to develop the Xposed Framework based on an experimental build of Android.

Go to the xposed tread or G+ - you're not going to find updates here. But no, not really.
You'll see it when it's ready, the developer does this in his free time and as a hobby. He doesn't get paid for it.
Asking for timelines from developers is a huge no no. No one can answer that question for you and even if someone could they wouldn't make any promises that they can't keep.

Asking for timelines from developers is a huge no no. No one can answer that question for you and even if someone could they wouldn't make any promises that they can't keep.

appreciate your response.
I thought I was not clear on my question. I did not mean to ask this from developer. I asked the community or other members here who are following this or if anyone knows anything about the xposed framework to just update whats going on.
I never meant to ask the developer to provide the timeline of-course.
Thanks though.

I was thinking the same thing -greenboy-. I really appreciate the things the devs have done for this community and the things they made possible really made my day to day life easier. I also made sure I donate to the dev whenever I use something useful.
I believe that "assuming" that a forum user is asking for specific timelines is a huge no no. Poster is simply asking for updates which he clearly communicated. We could have helped these users better by pointing them to the right forum or we can simply remind them to use the search button.

I just think it was how the question was phrased. Asking for an ETA is against the rules and the way the question was phrased seemed a little like that. A better phrasing perhaps would have been "do you think Xposed will ever work?"

What do you guys think. I don't even care about custom Roms anymore since I can use xposed to do almost anything I could possibly imagine. Are there any hopes of getting a similar tool to modify Roms running art.

Hi all,
The different sizes of the Tab S are largely incompatible, yet they share a forum. Can we please have separate dev forums for the variants in order to reduce any possible confusion for new owners looking for their goodies?
totally agree, +1 on that idea
This is a standard for tablets and low activity devices
with as LITTLE dev work that goes on everyone loses if it gets separated since one dev may not see progress another dev made. in this situation i have to say that very little work gets done on these tabs and if you want less for your device then separate them.
I'm not sure this is necessary, the proper use of the tag system should resolve any issues. It may be better to bring this to the attention of the tablet moderation team, rather than open a thread

Yes, but you'd be surprised at how easy it is to completely miss the model tag in the mess of other tags;
"[ROM+KERNEL] [DEVDB] [WIP] [SMT800] [LOLWTF] Hey, look at my ROM!"
