Dear XDA community,
I have the HTC Desire C sold on this day to me about it to buy an iPod Touch. This means the end for the development of FirezoneMOD for Desire C!
As a MOD based on the Kindle firmware would be interesting, but I unfortunately can not develop, but I hope you can do it.
Important information about FirezoneMOD:
-In the early versions it was based on CM of cute_prince, later the complete Kindle source code should be used!
-As solid components integrated the official Kindle Fire should stock apps!
You get the stock apps below:
http://www.amazon.de/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=201055910
Thank you for your understanding!
marizz
(All the ROMs have to be based on this concept have cited as the source marizz! Thank you!)
Ok i think the libraries associated are absent in rom.
Contact me or any dev hge may help u
I'll help

Just need the proper list of mods.
Willsearch today i am free.
Full even small.
Slightest things sure to work can also cause probs
go on dev-ers
for that at least need the rom
I will try to publish a first DEV build on Saturday.
The basis of the ROM is the current Kindle Fire ROM.
For this to work on the Desire C. I use (yet!) CyanogenMod 10 of cute_prince!

Try poirting kindle fire stock 4.1.2 rom
this will be a gud base.
but keep in mind porting here will be difficult as you will have to find some libs . required for certain apps to work properly
For now, I'll use CM10 of cute_prince, later you can try to port the stock ROM on Kindle Fire.
I think what you mean is, instead of CM10 to use as a base AOSP ROM (original Nexus).
What do you think?
What should I use as a base?
1.AOSP
2.Cyanogenmod
3.Kindle Fire Stock ROM
desire c cm 10
port stock rom
can you provide some screen shots?? even from other devices... for us to see what is azone mod...
I'm going to install Ubuntu today so that I can continue programming AzoneMod!
Screenshots will also follow!
AzoneMOD, however renamed in FirezoneMOD!
Unfortunately I can not currently post in the Android development forum, even embed an external link, because the account is too new! As soon as I am released, there will be a post in the Android development forum!
I will release the first alpha of the ROM today so you can test this!
However, there will be significant problems with the representation and the speed! Please note also that the phone function and any other SIM options are not currently supported by the ROM (since the Kindle Fire has no phone option!)
Many things are better shown when the phone is held in landscape mode! Many of the integrated apps crash, do not start or run unstable.
The first version of FirezoneMOD still based on CyanogenMod of cute_prince, but is planned later switch to AOSP ROM or the floor of the Kindle Fire!
You can download the first build you expected at 18:00!
As a hoster will come mega.co.nz used because in this moment the fastest Hoster. Should anyone dare not mega.co.nz, he can also take over a dh.st link the file! (I know d-h.st is slow!)
Please note that the Kindle Fire is a high-end device, unlike the Desire C. Therefore, the ROM does not run nearly as smooth as on the Kindle Fire. I'll try not to increase the speed!

Saw a lot of people posting about CM9 the past month, some were hoping it is official released or supported. It won't happen until awhile more for an official update. here's an unofficial build:
I just sync and built with the vivo device tree, only changes from stock CM9:
- kernel (kaijura) - without it: no panorama, updated kernel drivers, etc
- added usb
What may be fixed later or can be done:
- merge twistedumbrella's camera code to enable camera
- add rotating keys (st.matt)

Just tried the gapps 02 07 2012 version. Yep works fine so far for gmail, market and YouTube HD.
Following CyanogenMod 9 Blog from Cyanogen himself, he said a few words on the directions of the project:
http://www.cyanogenmod.com/blog/progress-on-cm9
So it seems like from what I understand what he says, we might not get official support for camera and video until the IncS HTC ICS release, which is supposed to be wayy later this year.

This is cyanogenmod team, so you get an idea of how far the cm9 team has progressed with ICS. Some people have been with CM since the old G1 days you know?
Yeah its definitely not a daily but it is pretty cool to check out. Once our phone has an official ICS ROM from htc you can bet cm9 will be official for vivo. It's more of a peek at what's to come. I swear by cm so if we don't get official support I would be amazed and disappointed.

People believe the target may be Qualcomm instead of HTC. There has been a long discussion on this at the DesireZ forums and lots of people emailed, you can read its progress here:

I updated the CM9 KANG build to Feb'18 2012. Lots of commits and fixes, too much to list. Some minor changes but getting more and more stable now.
In other works, I have also ported a very popular DHD ICS ROM Ice Cold Sandwich from the Desire HD section with permission from LorD ClockaN and some help from vampire36 who ported it to the Desire S.
So far, it works fine on release 2.0, it uses some sources from CM9 and community fixes.
But I need to tweak it a little to get it working smoothly, there are some minor things wrong with it and camera is not working right at the moment. If people are crazy about it I'll try to get a fully functional rom up sometime.

This script comes with instructions for each step, It is the MIUI auto-porter modified for general use with CM10 based roms.
It will say a bunch of stuff about MIUI on the splash-screen at the start, Ignore it.
Any Rom that uses CM10 as a base can be ported to this device using this script.
Download: Auto-porter
I know It's not a new rom update but I figured you folks would like it better, to test it out go to AvatarRoms site or some other CM10 based rom and try your hand at porting!
Some roms will have TW framework or other things like this and that must be taken care of manually, so for more complex ports you will need a good understanding of how to port and diff and xml editing and so on; but for very basic things or to create a quick port to assess what kind of potential work would need to be done, how compatible your device is with a base; this is a good place to start.

Sometimes the foreign rom is just not compatible as a base, you will see results as you experiment and find which phones are most 'similar' to yours
If anyone has successfully ported a rom with auto-porter that boots and is somewhat functional or functional, then please post and share the details here. I personally do not know how to port a rom, or make a rom etc., But I am willing to learn how to use the auto-porter in this thread if someone is willing to point me in the right direction. Like which base to use, and what modifications need to be done and so on...

None of them are really that good yet. Some folks have had success with the CM10 port, but no bluetooth audio is a no go for me.

I'm running the ported cm10.1 from xt926 from epinter http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2243812 and it works great! All Bluetooth functions work fine for me. I used http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2262726 to root, unlock bootloader, and flash cwm. Everything worked like a charm.
I take no credit for: Roms, apps, icons, i just made it easy to find the links for you.
*Check out this ROM , been using it for a almost a month & it's really great
* [4.2.2] Liquid Smooth ROM base of aosp : download link http://d-h.st/users/jsnweitzel/?fld_id=19980#files flash it via CWM
* you must flash the latest gapps 10.1 http://goo.im/gapps flash via CWM
* it's really fast you get more free ram has nova launcher as stock laucher also has Halo feature not app , but the feature installed within the rom itself & also you have PIE
* here is the new google camera app aswell , Keep in mind you must delete the current gallery2.apk using root explorer frist go to system folder than go to app folder look for gallery2.apk delete it , then install the this: http://db.tt/xjdaanUq
* i may also suggest installing it with the keylimepie theme: http://db.tt/dV1gQvYn to make it look awesome ( install it like any other apk file then go to phone settings then go to theme & select the theme)
also with these icons you will have such a clean interface: http://db.tt/gn0a4UBW install it like any other apk file , then go to nova laucher settings , then go to look and feel & install the icons : reboot may be needed i am not sure, reboot just in case
& last but not least bootanimation sure the liquid smooth bootanimation is awesome but everyone want a google experience so anyway here is the new google phones bootanimation: https://www.dropbox.com/s/7ziwskci57wuwbi/Google_Bootanimation-flashable_zip%20%281%29.zip flash it via CWM RECOVERY WIPE CACHE FIRST.
also a new google play interface dpi very nice , made: http://db.tt/mbmV9J2Z FLASH VIA CWM RECOVERY WIPE CACHE FIRST.
if you did not like the liquid smooth ROM there is also this one
it looks cool , but i have not tested it out but i'll just throw it in right there : http://d-h.st/users/timpohladthomas/?fld_id=21048#files

pac runs bad for me alot of random FC don't know why tho , i have tried AOKP by youngun & liquid smooth & the revolt ROM those 3 have run perfect for me
I second PAC. Most of the FC's have been fixed and as far as I can tell its the best 4.2.2 ROM here. Youngunn did amazing with his HoloBlur and when compared with the time frame he released it, it the most solid one. One of the reason it's so solid, though is because it runs 4.1.2.
So I'll recommend PAC or HoloBlur. And for the love of (insert something you treasure here) don't you use SafeStrap to flash it.
As for ROMs not being up to date, 4.2.2 is the latest ROM usable. Unless you get a Samsung Galaxy S4. That runs 4.3 (or will be soon) but there's only readable teaser releases for the software on other phones

Can anyone port SmoothRom for the Kindle Fire HD 7? Now I already figured it may not be possible as someone would've provably already done it, but I decided to try it myself using the instructions in the following thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1908008
STATUS: FAIL. And I used Hashcode's CM10.1 and SmoothRom 5.2 for Nexus 7 by jamesst20. Don't know if its a sin, if it is I apologize, I wanted it for my personal use, I'm not a developer, more of a "trial and error fixer" and I gave it a shot before asking. I loved that ROM when I had my Nexus 7 as it was so lag free and ran...well...smooth. If anyone has any info at all whether its possible, whether there's any takers to the project or even if its impossible, I'm all ears, and it would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hmm I don't know much about making a full ROM, but it might have something to do with the fact smoothrom is aokp based, and cm is aosp based. Then again we do have some aokp ROMs for kfhd, they built theirs from the source code though rather than the method in your link, if I remember right that is.. Hmmm...
Edit:After re-reading that tut it seems it also works on ROMs that are AOKP so idk. Maybe try basing it from a aokp ROM. This is really a bit more beyond me than I thought at first.

Thanks for the info. Do you know of any links to AOKP based ROMs for the KFHD7? I always used AOKP on my previous tablets etc and was looking for any AOKP based ROM for this device when I first planned on tossing in a custom ROM but I only got as far as CM10.1, CM10.2, MIUI port, and PAC ROM. So if you know any AOKP based ROMs links I would really appreciate it.
EDIT: Looked around, found nothing but this thread that never went anywhere.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2285306&page=2
So I'm assuming 100% there are no AOKP based ROMs. If I knew how to compile a ROM, I'd do it. SmoothRom 5.2 was made for the Nexus 7 (well at least the one I was using) and the Nexus 7 and KFHD7 are nearly identical in a sense for example screen size, etc. So I know there must be even the slightest possibility.
This is aokp based...: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2355103, or at least it says it is, because its a mix of paranoid android and aokp and cm10.1 if I remember right, has some of the setting that aokp has if I remember right. I haven't ever used aokp or pac-man ROM, I prefer closer to stock, so maybe I misunderstand if that ROM is aokp based.

Well it does have AOKP but Im more than sure it started with CM10 when it was being compiled. I just know that nobody has made an AOKP based rom for no reason, there must be some story behind why its been left out of the mix. I've switched to using ROM-PORTER-v3.6, and its more successful than that guide I mentioned as I actually made the ROM flashable ONLY when using stock Amazon OS as the base and then SmoothRom as the port. Flashes fine, boot image works, but its a total boot loop, so I must be getting closer. I also tried adding certain extra files mentioned in the guide I mentioned, but them it causes the ROM to fail the flash. Then I realized that the build.prop is still as it was on the Nexus 7 and if im not mistaking the thread i got the tool from did mention editing that. So I must give it a try. Maybe thatll solve the case?
Why do I find it funny your are converting the stock ROM to a custom aokp ROM... On the bright side it would maybe work in a similar manner to kinology where you still have amazon video access and such. Fix the build.prop and it might work idk, I'm sure if anything it would help, just make sure if you are replacing it without flashing it that u chmod it to 644.
If I had to take a wild guess at why there isn't a stock aokp ROM or any others, it would be because the lack of devs, not to say we have a lack in the sense we are producing ROMs, but I think hashcode laid out the groundwork for most of the other devs, but because it was a aosp base I guess it was more likely to attract aosp devs, because it seems like less work to me if you are staying at aosp. Not to mention technically the cm builds are still beta last I checked, maybe we might get some other aokp and aosp devs once it goes official. For instance I don't believe I have seen a stock aosp android os for kindle fire HD yet. Most of the above is speculation, just thought I'd mention that before someone says I have no idea what I'm talking about. xD

Believe me I know that I'm just juggling ROMs here with the possibility of being far off track and getting nowhere. Really dont kmow what I'm doimg at all. Just experimemting with trial and error to see if I make it somewhere. Even though I read that the base must be the same type as the port (AOKP to AOKP, CM to CM, etc) and that these certain things must be completely changed if not, etc etc, it doesnt hurt to try. No one else wants to do it, no one else has some info, then I must do as the saying goes: "if you want something done right, do it yourself." I have no clue how to create a AOKP rom out of thin air since theres really no AOKP based KFHD7 roms out there, so why not experiment with any other? My latest bigquestion is if AOKP is CM based in a way or two, how is it that the two combined isn't working out?
Will our get Android lollipop through Cyanogenmod?
I doubt it as we can't even get the official KK bootloader which may or may not be required for Lollipop.
I tried Android L on my Nexus 4 and didn't really like the new interface.

Im actually quite content with my custom rom kitkat with the Gem Flat skin on top of it. (really quite stable just ui crash twice per week).
But then the unthinkable thing happens with one of the oldest moto droid devices went from ICS to Kitkat without any official updates due to alot of developers.
Anything is possible

I guess its standard to question if we will see something BEFORE THE ACTUAL PUBLIC RELEASE HAPPENS AND BEFORE CYANOGENMOD, WHICH IS NOT MOTOROLA, GETS THEIR HANDS ON IT TO SEE WHAT THEY CAN DO ABOUT PUSHING IT OUT TO OUR DEVICES.
Btw, as far as that bootloader point goes, ask yourself this, do the older devices that got left behind on GB or ICS need updated bootloaders to run KK? B/c i can guarantee i can grab my Atrix 4G or my Droid X and see KK running on both of them with GB bootloaders.

Is this a signal?
I Think, yes.
Because, this night, someone did an Android L ROM For the HTC Evo 3D [POST]
I Remember, this phone has come to the world running GB, well, ROM Is still buggy, but see, that device more older than Atrix HD, I Don't know if that device has an ''updated'' bootloader [like bootloader for ICS or JB], But i think this would be a great news for this device.
I Already tried Lollipop on a Nexus 4 [Is the official update], an i really liked it. i think is better than KK, [ppl comming here and spammin' ''KK Is better'' in 3.... 2.... 1.....]
If HTC EVO 3D Has Lollipop, Our Atrix HD's can have Lollipop too :victory: , the only thing we need is hope, and a brave developer.
and please sorry about my bad english~ :silly:
Maybe.

our devices upgrade has to do with more than kernels I need to backport some ion commits to the new qcom branches lot of guess work to what is needed and what isn't. Basically have to make a custom qcom folder for jbbl. As for the kernel there are lots of ways to get this right but it will need lots of time and testing.
