Hi everyone!
I am new here and i need some help!!
I was running jellyblast v.3 and cor plenus kernal, i downloaded a camera app from google play but when i took a picture my phone got stuck and rebooted itself, after reboot it stuck on Samsung logo i thought it is a softbrick, so i flashed stock ro by odin and than i installed jelly blast again with cyanus kernal 1.5,, Now the problem is that my phone notification sound is too much low and its network signal strength is totally gone but it do recieve signals near signal booster!!
i have alredy tried placing sim in other phones and it works fine!! network is strong!!
When i read cpu usage stats, used frequency uis always at peak now but phone is running still fast and smooth!!
Now what should i do to solve this prob.. I have already tried flashing different roms but sme problem occurs!!
No signal strength and low notification sounds but when i play songs i hear full volume!!
I dunno what just happened??
Need help!!

Question 1. I istalled the newest ICS 4.0.3 by ONECOSMIC and ONECOSMIC RC3 kernel. But seems like the auto brigthness still doesn´t work ?
Do the SensorsFix.zip, fix this problem ?
2. How do you put your own mp3 as ringtone in ICS ?
3. Does 3G work ? but have no 3G logo. At least speed is high over 6mbit download and 2-3mbit upload. So guess 3G work but have no 3G logo up where the signal bar is, only shows signalbar with a R. Why ?
Thanks in advance
Own MP3 can be added by installing RingsExtended from market...
" goo <dot> gl / RdJzN "
replace <dot> by "."

But problem 1 is still unsolved. HELP ?

Reflash the kernel only, and reboot!
If it's still not good, then reflash rom (wipe factory/data, wipe dalvik, wipe cache), don't "reboot system" from recovery, flash the kernel right after the rom and then reboot!
how did you solve your 3g issue? mines jumps between G and E just but neither are fast.
everything else works fine and i followed steps to the letter. would the onecosmic kernel fix this? i didnt need it for anything else and, because i dont live in a 3g area, didnt realise my 3g wasnt working until i went to work today.

Wifi wouldn't switch on when I was on stock it would give error like you said sometimes even after entering the code to load the drivers I had to restart my phone
Then I flashed cm7 and the problem vanished. Although when I reverted to stock the error was back

Maybe the baseband is a problem. Try a different baseband and see. Since you are telling that wifi works in cm7, maybe there is a problem with your stock rom.

Nop!! You can't revert from a cm rom to a stock rom by a nandroid backup you have to use odin

Can't turn on Wifi and Blueetooth, gives error
Hi, I just purchased a samsung galaxy ace gt s5830 that came from korea. The phone was initially working fine and had 2.2.1 froyo running on it. But this set did't allow more than 80 characters in text message and converted into an mms. I thought I should updgrade it to gingerbread so I downloaded gingerbread 2.3.6 and upgraded the phone via Odin. Since then, my wifi and bluetooth don't work. when i try to turn on the wifi, it says "Error". I have tried all possible solutions but was never successful. tried those codes like *#526*, *$528* and many other codes but no use. I also thought of going back to froyo 2.2.1 and downloaded a stock rom and flashed it but still the same error.
Now can anyone suggest a solution here so that either I can revert to the korean firmware (since I can't find one for korean region) or I can fix the wifi and blutooth error.
Please Please help!!! I purchased it to present it to my wife on her birthday but now its all messy
any of u try updating to 2.3.6
Alright, I have very strange problem on my phone.
It happens when I browse the internet with my phone. Suddenly, I lose my connection. Then the phone shuts down. When I open in again it has 1-4% battery and still no connection.
I have no idea what the reason could be.
I've tried to change rom but it didnt help. From 4.0.4->4.0.4 (currently)
Thank in advance
I'd like to add to OP that my phone shuts down after long use, I dont have to be at the internet.
Does anyone have any idea?
Hmmm.. which rom exactly did u have and do have at the moment ? Btw morjes, suomesta kans:silly:

Moro.
I had SlimICS first, then I changed to XI9000 -style ROM.
But I dont think the problem is because of the rom, as I didnt have the problem first on SlimICS, but then suddenly it just "appeared".
Should I try to change the modem?
Weird.. yes, i would try to change modems, if that doesnt work i would maybe try a re install of the rom.. btw which modem are u using? I want to use xxjvu because i get a better connection with that but i get the roaming sign after installing it :X

I had JVT.
Alright, I flashed JVU now, the phone doesnt turn off anymore. But still it loses the connection, which basicully means I have to restart my phone.
Can you recommend any other modems? (modems that work in Finland)
Well, the one on my sig works good.. but that doesnt sound like a modem issua at all, i think u might have to try and install a new rom.. i wpuld suggest a FULL wipe and sd card formating before u do

Yes, I think you're right.
Im going to flash 2.2/2.3 with odin and format sd-card, after that I will flash again this 4.0.4 rom. If it doesnt work then I have no clue.
Thanks
Yes, that sounds right. Good luck!
Alright..
So I flashed Darky's Resurrection Edition Android 2.3.6 with Odin (repartition+pit+pda)
It didnt help, phone still shuts down.
Now I think Im going to backup my sd-card and try a 2.2 Rom.
could be battery related
Hi,
you've probably solved your problem by now, but just in case, here's what I found researching this issue (I have the very same problem):
This seems to be happening to various phones (although, SGS I9000 and its variants are the most frequent), various ROM and kernels. It is very
probably battery related as the solutions which helped people ease the problem the most were sticking a bit of a bussiness card under the battery
to make contacts tighter, scratch the contacts on the battery itself with scissors or some other metal tool as they have become oxidized through
frequent charging (this significantly reduced number of my shutdowns, but didn't eliminate them) and buying a complete new battery (by far the
most successful solution, although, even this didn't help some people )

5- Removing the battery Used to fix the problem But NOW NOT
Fixes I Tried

jesus christ, we are not BLIND!
anyway, i have same issues on sgs2
Same issue
@MOHPHR : I am facing the same issue as you.
I tried several ROMs from Original stock ICS to Paranoid to Crisleko's ROM.
Going into the airplane mode and then turning wifi on used to work, not anymore.
3G Data works just fine, not being able to use wifi is frustrating because when I leave it alone, it connects by itself randomly when I am at home for example.
I have done some extensive research and found an article that mentions wifi hardware problems resulting from ICS update on a galaxy S2. (Google: Samsung Galaxy S2 WiFi Issue BY Shaiful Borhan )
I did use the *#*#526#*#* and got the status: "NotSet Driver loaded [NG]".
Anyone can help please ?

Hi, I have been looking for days now for a forum that will be discussing this exact problem. I ve had this issue fora month or so now. I have restored to factory settings but it has not solved the problem. My galaxy note n7000 is not rooted nor does it have any special rom. I wouldnt even know how to install them. Where you able to find a fix? I am so tired of this problem, Im even contemplating the possibility of getting a note 2 and selling my n7000. I believe as well that it is most likely a software problem and im wondering if the soon to come jellly bean update could fix this issue.
Ps: after the wifi problem started, ive also noticed freezes and restars/ reboots.
Thanks for your help guys.:good:

@fedetipito I am still considering the hardware issue, although it seems a compatibility issue with the region/country as @fearkillerr mentioned in this post (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1436683)
I tried his solutions, none worked. The script one worked, but only once, then the problem kept repeating.
I upgraded to JB 4.2 then downgraded to stock GB 2.3 still the same issue. I am from the North Africa/Middle-East region, although when I was in Sweden in holidays and using a Swedish sim-card didn't have this issue. Any thoughts ? This problem is really really upsetting as we cannot use the WiFi properly. I am seriously considering simply abandoning my Galaxy Note N7000 and go for an iPhone 5, simply because I cannot even sell it (since no one would like a smartphone that doesn't have a proper wifi working).
I am having almost same problem with WiFi after I installed Custom ROM.
I tried only one method and it worked like a charm.
Go to WiFi connections and tell your phone to forget the network you are connected to, then re log. This problem did not happen after that 3 days now. Good Luck.
@Valium10 we initially cannot connect to any WiFi network, so we can't "forget" them. I don't think it is a "wifi network" problem.
" although when I was in Sweden in holidays and using a Swedish sim-card didn't have this issue"
And if you take SIM card out and power-on phone? Will wifi work?
Sent from my GT-N7000 using Tapatalk 2
Sometimes no, sometimes yes. It's kind of a malicious bug.
I am also facing the same problem and it seems it is hardware problem. May some dust or something else on the hardware or else we have dropped our phone some problem is there. When I gave to service center they asked that the motherboard needs to be replaced. But they refused to check it without that. I told that first try without replacing any parts and just check whats wrong in this if some repair can be done, but the service center people are so busy 50-60 peoples were waiting in line behind me to give there phones for service. They do not listen anything. They have tried by installing latest ROM and nothing else, that we can easily do it and for that also they have taken service charges.
Please someone tell me where exactly the wifi module is there, so we can open and check the problem ourself.

for Wifi disconnects ..try to change the router wireless settings to b/g...and avoid n... this should keep the wifi stable
There is absolute no signal... On original ROM it says "turn off airplane mode" when I dial some number, but it's not in airplane mode.. Tried custom ROM, but there is no signs at all.
Before that I downgraded phone to 4.2.2 ( A1 and 10b version) and I got signal, but phone was not usable. It was crashing, it was freezing and so...
So any suggestions? Maybe there is some radio problem or what?
Thanks

So any suggestions? Maybe there is some radio problem or what?
Thanks

Have you tried a new SIM from Verizon? If so and you're still under warranty, revert to stock and send that bad boy in for a replacement!

I'm getting this error "to make a call turn off airplane mode" when i try to call
but it's not in airplane mode..
i read that not only me or not only verizon phones has this problem , it seems the problem is in kitkat , because i saw this problem on other devices too , samsung note 3, htc one or ect...
so , is there any solution about this?
once again , i've downgraded phone and it got signal , but soft was freezing , i think it's kernel problem or something like that . seems like it's not possibly to downgrade 100% to stock

fixing permission in recovery and several restart (2-3 times at least) fixes problem , but it's not permanent fix , working until next restart (i think)
