[Q] [Q/REQ] For I9305 - Transparent Status Bar Mod CM10.1 - Galaxy S III I9305 (4G LTE + 2GB RAM) Q&A, Help &

Anyone know which CM10.1 4.2.2 status bar that is 100% transparent which flashable into i9305?
So many out there but whenever I flash it, either i get app force close / status bar gone missing.
Tried few though.

Not even a single one know how to do it? Can anyone teach me how to do it? Really want the transparent status bar though. Look odd w my current one. I hope.

Flash Liquidsmooth rom. It's fast and allow you to set 100% transparent statusbar and nav bar.
P.S It's 4.2.2

No individual mod that possible to do this?

Does anyone know how to remove the status bar clock on the newest release of gingerbread? [2.3.4 GRJ22]
Idk the code to do so but it's an option in CM7 Settings. So you could get CM7 and problem is solved otherwise wait for a response from a dev.

Try to flash the framework.zip together~ see if it solve the problem~
Doesn't work for me. Tried with and without flashing framework.zip. also tried clearing davlik cache. The boot takes unusually long and the status bar is gone. Copying back the original files

Here it is.....
Flash it in CWM-Recovery (please wipe Dalvik Cache before flashing)
Greetz Paki
Won't work for me, flashed "with music"... without flashing framework I got a bootloop, with framework it booted but the statusbar was missing.
Wiped Dalvic Cache as suggested, some other step I might have missed? Or asked another way, can anyone confirm this working?
Running the leaked 20E and GoLauncher.

I would recommend you flash what you need from this, and then take customization further via the UOT kitchen.

Changing status bar to classic version?

So I want to change my statusbar to the classic style. (The white version from 2.2 and back) So I was wondering if there is a way to do this. I have a rooted samsung exhibit 2 4g running Rebel Rom 2.1. Any help appreciated
Ok.
yes there is. first grab the statusbar.apk from somewhere (anywhere). then replace the current statusbar.apk with the new one. reboot after. note that it may not work depending on screen size. you may status-brick your phone. (if you know what i mean)

I'm a little new to this. So where in root explorer would that apk be? And where would I find this apk and would it automatically change to the classic version after I replace the old one?

goto /system/apps (different on nearly every phone) and then replace. the status bar will be missing at first so do a reboot. if you cant find the statusbar.apk file then there is an explorer out there (root) that allows you to search for it. im not sure if root ex has it but try anyway. remember to find one designed for your device. (or one which screen size matches) or you could status-brick your phone. as always something could go wrong if you play about with it so i take no responsibility and assure you if you follow all instructions...both instructions (XD) correctly then you should have what you want.

Ok got that so now my only question is where would I find the classic status bar apk and this guide on xda on how to do it

More likely in systemui.apk, located in /system/app...
Well there aren't any roms with that version for my phone. So what would be my next option?
Sent from my SGH-T679 using XDA
There's a Retro Android theme for CM7 somewhere. That'll have all the icons to make then hopefully you/someone can help create the theme.
Sent from my GT-I9100
Thank you
I have that apk. So what your saying is that I need to find someone who can use this apk to make a status bar apk out of it? Could I replace the current status bar apk with the Retro Droid apk?
Sent from my SGH-T679 using XDA
Yes. Just find the right file.
Sent from my LG-VM670 using Tapatalk 2
But since its just a theme wouldn't it not be considered part of the system UI?
Sent from my SGH-T679 using XDA
Depends on the file your replacing ....
I'm gonna try to make the GB statusbar froyo. Tell you how it went
Sent from my LG-VM670 using Tapatalk 2
With the icons and all? If successful please let me have it lol. Btw I'm replacing SystemUI.apk
Sent from my SGH-T679 using XDA
system ui is only icons and out line. example: hold power to get a menu. the icons will be different and maybe the outline a different colour. thats it. the icons also involve check boxes and things. not settings though.
Sent From The Phone Of Gamers
OK, well the forum for rebel rom 2.1 said that systemui.apk is the status bar.apk for that rom. So if I delete systemui.apk and replace it with retrodroid.apk. will I get my desired goal?

Why not just try UOT Kitchen?

Just a head's up, if theres was a mod, it would rewrite your SystemUI.apk and any mods that had anything to do with SystemUI.apk will be overwritten. I used to have it on my ROM but it was very unstable and it was very difficult to get it to work with other mods that need the SystemUI.apk modified.

that's why you learn how to mod the systemUI.apk for your current rom if you'd like to use it.
TeamBaked's BlackBean 7 has this feature...very good ROM

How to get back transparent notification bar?

Hi all,
I am currently using Omars Rom from Sept 20th. I really like the rom, but I do not like the black stauts bar. With the older version I was using before, the notification bar was transparent. So any ideas how I can get it back?
Thanks
You can Download the framework 2.0 Mod and flash it over omars rom.
