Help to decide what 4.2.2 CM based rom please :) - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello, got my new HTC One, but just cant decide on what CM10.1 4.2.2. rom should i go with, Paranoid, PackMan, and so on, what do you guys use? I just need stability speed, and of course some futures

Why not go with the 10.3 (4.3) build of the nightlies? Google Edition ROMs are great too, and most of them have the Xposed Framework cooked in, so mods are a breeze to install.
SinLess is my GE ROM of choice
As far as futures go... there is only one future, and it is a future ruled by Skynet :good:

I'm just waiting for AudioX mod to be available on 4.3 then i will use it I've used the 4.3 GE it is fast but sometimes is just gets stuck on that fast, i remember having GS3 on CM10.1 and it was faster. Right now i have Cm10.1 for testing, it does have more lag but it's just more stable then GE 4.3 don't know how to explain, menu transitions are better, but thats why i'm thinking it's cm10.1 just more tweaks to make it better. but on cm10.2 audiox mod is not available.

Just installed Slimless much better thank you don't know what happened with Revolution 4.3 GE

[Q] Good ROM?

Hi everyone,
I use now CyanVivo X because I want next Cyanogenmod but there are too many little bugs and battery life is too short and Trebuchet has bugs in rotation and Klipsch app on headset now working good (maybe problems with Poweramp).
Do you like this one? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1919039
It looks good but do you have some comments?
Kernel is older but if it works fine, why not?
Which app do you use on movie? Mx or Mobo or someone other?
Thank you for your answer and comments.
Sorry for my english.
Sabsa is really good, you should definitely give it a try For videos I use MX, it looks good and has got a very nice interface with great functions. And since you're obviously using a good headset you should really try DSP-Manager, which makes every music experience a freakin blast on your phone! It's just awesome!
just my opinion

i am using unofficial CM10 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2082327 currently
though the video record not fully working but is good enough for me
before this i actually prefer sense rom, i used to use blackout rom
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1986999
its really smooth and stable, if u like sense 3.6, blackout rom is definitely a good choice for u
its so great with its beastmode kernel(the battery and performance )
and if u want to look for the sense 4.0 rom
except sabasa, venom is a good choice too
it provide lots of custom tweaks and venom hub, u can change lots of things if u want
above is just my opinion, u can take for advice or ignore me
PS. for movie i use MX player:cyclops:

On Sense or MIUI ROMs DSP-Manager. On AOSP/AOKP/CM ROMs ACID sound engine with AwesomeBeats Addon. The sound will blow you away!
lots of great ROMs out there
I am using CyanVivoX just like u. I came from Paranoid Android. As of now, I have tried quite a number of different ROMs. I have tried CyanVivoX, Codename Android, Paranoid Android, ViperVivo by Team Venom, Sabsa Prime v12, Nik Project X, Cooldroid Revolution, Virtuous Quattro, virtuous Infinity, and Rebased Multilang MIUI4
I first tried Sabsa Prime and i loved it for its sense 4 and its mods included. However i decided to try ViperVivo simply cuz it had more to offer in terms of customization. However Sense bogged my phone down a lot and thats when i decided to transition to an AOSP based ROM and that brought me to Paranoid Android.
Of all of them my favourite is Paranoid Android, but Launcher just crashed way too much for me. So i decided to give CyanVivoX a try and i dont regret it. Trebuchet has only crashed like once or twice on me over the past 2 weeks and i think that it would be worth to keep. I have also tried Pacman ROM but the problem with that is that it doesnt read any microSD card. (love to report that but dont have my 10 posts yet lol)
With all that in mind, if u do make the move to Sabsa Prime, its a great ROM with a number of good Mods included. If i were to change back to a Sense ROM, Sabsa Prime would definitely be my go.
So... I choose Sabsa for my phone.
(I had CyanVivo X and Trebuchet fall down everyday)
But I have little problem.
I download youtube, but I just can´t login. I try remove google account in phone and login one more time, but still nothing.
Some advice?

yea there are still a number of problems in Sabsa. I also cudnt log into youtube, and if u tried updating apps from within the playstore, that also doesnt work. Thats one of the reasons why i got to CyanVivoX.
Another great alternative for JB AOSP would be Paranoid Android. its a great ROM with a number of different configuration modes like phone, phablet, and tablet UI. I liked it a lot.

OP complains that his current ROM is buggy; recommends a ROM where the WiFi doesn't work.
Yes, I had to.
There are a couple of other good ROMs too:
1. For tweaks and good level of customizations, you can go for IceColdSandwich 8.3 (currently inactive though)
2. For an improved version of HTC Stock ICS ROM, you can go for ARHD
3. For Sense 4 ROM, try sabsa prime, it has less tweaks but included JB butter and other applications. Also it is a very stable ROM
4. For a different UI experience, try the Paranoid Android JB ROM or MIUI ROM - I am currently on MIUI 3.1.11 and am quite satisfied in terms of experience and battery life.. Further MIUI fixes are released weekly.
5. There is a new PACman ROM which combines Paranoid, Aokp and Cyanogen features.. It is on CM10..http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2105869

There has been a fix for wifi now. i think its on page 3 or 4 at the bottom of the page. I dont know if its jsut me but the ROM doesnt recognize my SD Card. Thats why i stayed away from it. Paranoid Android is a great ROM. Excellent level of customization. For sense, u cud go sabsa prime (please keep in mind that it isnt possible to update apps in google play store) or vipervivo. ViperVivo has a good level of customization. Thats clear from the devs creating the venom hub.
Well, ive tried lots if ROMs, but ARHD is the one I allways go back to. It has great battery life, no bugs and it just works. I used to really like ice cold sandwich and other stock android ROMs but Optus + AOSP/AOKP isn't a good combination xD

Also, I'll add that the ROMs with higher sense versions than 3.6 seem to clog my device pretty badly. Add first, they run great, but after a day or 2, It's reeeeeeally slow and unresponsive.

Best performanse rom?

What is best performanse rom?
It really depends what you want - for ICS probably Texasice, Sense 3 - Runny Rom for N1, etc.
Stock android usually is quicker (something like CM but if you want a different look there're always themes)

Why you might asked? some person are light android users (like myself), some are flash-holics.
I've tried a few the best so far is 2.3.7 CM 7.2. works flawlessly.
Currently using 4.2.2 CM 10.1 and i must say i'm still in blown away with the performance.

I'm using the [ROM][DEV][JB][4.2.2] AOKP for Passion Unofficial Nightlies
even donated to the developer, impressive.
can even be patched using autopatcher to support pdroid,
The GB ROMS such as CM 7.2, MIUI 2.3.30 are very smooth and stable. MIUI especially offers a degree of customization not seen in most other ROMs. However, my only problem with these ROMs is the slow Write speed they've got - copying files to the SD card is a drag even if you have a class 10.
The JB ROMs (esp. 4.2.1 VJ) are very smooth and almost stable ( Camcorder, Tethering, Faulty 3G), but they kernel is optimized for faster transfers. If you can live with the niggles I mentioned, JB ROMs are the way to go.

Lacoste does not have the bluetooth issue and is a quite stable ROM.. but with Lacoste you won't get the various UI modes which PACman offers; neither the AOKP customization options.. Further if you install v21 - it does not have bluetooth issue;
So you need to decide whether you want eye candies or fully functional ROM.. I am myself on PACman and since I do not use bluetooth much: I am fine the way it is.. have been using it since it was released..

I am saying that if you move to v21, then bluetooth issue is not there so far as I remember; if you encounter that, check the jellytime ROM page; there is a bluetooth fix.. it works on all the 4.1.2 and 4.2.2 ROMs except the latest version,22, of PACman

now you are being greedy
so far as i understand, there is no major difference between v21 and v22.. in v22, latest PAC code has been synced.. users say battery life is better (i haven't observed much change though)..
other option is that you wait for blindndumb to release a new version with the fix

Switched to lacoste after using PacMan for a while and will stick to lacoste...prefer having a nice stable working ROM than a few tweaks that ill eventually get bored of.
And pretty happy with the lacoste experience.
Hm.. Lacoste is slower.. but really, really slower. PACman is nr. 1
Please stop making these "Which ROM is better thread?" This is all opinion based. On top of that its very offensive to developers who put a lot of their time away to create ROMs. Please try out the ROMs yourself and look at what other people have to say about the ROM in the respective ROM threads.

There is no one favorite, alot of folk either prefer CM10.x or ICS,
ICS roms, have (or at least should have) everything working, technically, like wifi, bluetooth, gps, HDMI, etc.
CM10 + roms dont have some working items, (and probably never will) - like HDMI
different roms do run differently for everyone. IMO the latest 10.2 rom from Tonyp is amazingly smooth, but with the current CM10 bugs, and falky GPS for now.
here is some of the bugs and fixes that Tonyp sorted out for 10.1 (hes working on them for 10.2) ** so dont bother him about any of them ^.^ **

You best bet is to try a few of the recommended roms, and see what you think best works for you.

Try install P.A.C-Man 4.3.0 (JB4.3) wiht the last Kowalsky kernel is fast and stable for me. P.A.C-Man combine best features of CM10.2, Aokp and PA. As someone stated before, the stock based roms have less bugs and the CM based rom are more experimental. Anyway, you can also overclock your rom. Don't forget to install a 32m ramhack (check google).

I want to know your opinion, which one is a better(generally) option for a daily driver ROM on our phones based on today's options?
1- Stock/Stock based ROMs
2- Aftermarket ROMs (Like CM,Carbon ...)
It depends...CM Based are for Android Purists who don't like other designs but prefer raw and clean android

The stock roms is not bad, but in my opinion i'd prefer on custom rom because it has a lot of customization, but of course use it at your own risk because ur warranty will void if use custom roms. right now im using VanirAOSP in my XSP. its CM based running on kitkat 4.44 and can be used daily, im not a pro yet and i think u must read and learn and then compare them (the stock vs Custom). good luck ^.^

Vanir is much smoother than stock roms.
You dont invalidate your warranty unless you unlock bootloader (and even then keep a backup and noone will ever know).
Try out the LBL ROMs such as paranoid nexus or CM11 if you dont want to unlock the bootloader. They run really smoothly and with the right setup can be just as good as stock for power consumption (obviously non stock has no stamina mode) and personally I think better for features and performance.
You can also find most Sony apps on XDA to install should you want those (I use Sony Album, movies and Smart Connect).

So in terms of actual performance stock/stock based ROM's do better?
Why use CM11 roms? They are buggy and laggy. Just use CM10.2, it's a lot faster than stock roms and all the features are working except for FM radio, but you can use SpiritFM.
Try the custom roms and if you like them more than stock use one of them. Many people prefer them but i like more sony's stock rom, i don't have any performance issue on it and i love sony ui.

i used vanir in a few weeks, it run smooth, until i try playing HD games like MC4, and the screen is only black with the hud, no cutscene.
now i use beanstalk rom. it run smooth and i can play MC4 with no lag at all, so i guess vanir is not that perfect too,
i wanna try CM11 but the review tells that cm 11 is still buggy (am I right ?).
anyone in here try that out?
