[REQ] AOKP w/ HALO - Nexus 4 General

Hi, I love AOKP but I don't really like ParanoidAndroid. AOKP is much more customizable and more for me.
However, HALO is the most brilliant thing invented since sliced bread. I love it and its THE BEST. So basically, I want AOKP with HALO. I tried searching and I couldn't find this. Could anyone make one, or show me how to do it myself? (probably involves the git of the HALO source right?)
Also, don't tell me to use PacMan ROM. I know its a mix of pa, aokp, and cyanogenmod, but I simply want AOKP and there are many AOKP features on PacMan that aren't there. There are many things that are different as well and so I just simply want an AOKP rom with HALO.
Well, I hope this is possible! Thanks everyone

Um this was featured on the xda portal a while ago.

Halo is open or will be open. So I'm pretty sure a dev team with kang in their name would incorporate it one day

WTF EWW. What the HELL did I just see?! That is THE most disgusting piece of crap I ever had the displeasure to see. My eyes are burning. Im suing you for my eye surgery.
That's not halo, lol what is that

Check out Carbon. Carbon has all the goodies from CM/PA/AOKP. Its on 4.2.2, you can check out crDroid if you want 4.3 but it lacks the features from AOKP because AOKP 4.3 isn't done yet.
It has Halo.

Liquid rom has halo too

U can try Vanilla RootBox, click on my signature for link.
It is based on AOKP rom, and some cherry pick from PA and CM.
All AOKP Rom Control features are available.
This rom is stable. I use it as my daily driver for months now.

WOW THANKS GUYS!!!! I tried AOKPZ mod and its exactly what I wanted! Holy crap! Its pretty much AOKP with HALO and a few CM features. Its great!
I havent tried the other ROMs suggested but they seem great as well!

[ROM] Carbonite CM7 Beta

This is my version of CyanogenMod 7. I have spent a lot of time compiling this, but my efforts are none in comparison to what the CM team has done for us. I have themed this is in line with my Carbonite series, just throwing a little flavor out there. What you will find here is very similar to what you will find with the nightlys, only difference being that I am compiling the source, but it's all coming from the same place. Any issues you will have with my builds will be the same as you will find with the nightly builds. I take no credit for the Rom just the effort to put it together. Enjoy!
As Always flash at your own risk.

Here are the Google apps. I believe these came from Koush, the old ones don't work.

Technically nothing. Other than I compiled it from the source and added some flare to it for something different. It's made of the same stuff the CM7 nightlys are made of.

CM7 is a great base, and you can never go wrong with a little Flare hehe
Thanks for the work!!
Download link has changed. I fixed the menu color back to stock so you could actually read it. Sorry about that.
What nightly is this based off of? Or do you update nightly as well? I will keep an eye on this when cm7 is finished.

I believe that the OP says that these are built from source. Not hatin', but the OP has almost all the info you'd ever need (for future reference).
So, to the best of my knowledge, it's the same as a nightly, just pre-themed in source.

I am going to add a poll to this thread. Building from the source was fun but tedious. Do you guys want me to use the nightlys as my source and just build a theme you can flash over? Or do you want me to release the nightly+theme together as released, or continue as is currently- build from source+theme? I will not do much developing as the CyanogenMod team does a good job at that, I just wanted to see something a little different.
Edit: If this ends up being voted to more of a theme then this thread should be moved to themes section.

Just my two cents, it would probably be a lot easier on you if you just hooked into the new theme chooser functionality in CM7. If the underlying OS is going to be in lock step with CM, there's no use in you taking all the time to put the whole thing together.
Devs and theme designers need some spare time you know...
Theme would be nice

looks great, I would love if the status bar Icons would turn blue when connected. as for theme VS Rom, it would probably be easier on you to just do a theme, isn`t it a PIA to get the source and compile it whenever you make a change? Just my .02
What is the clock you're using? It looks like the Sense clock/weather thing.
I agree. The theme would prolly be better. You could post nightly+theme if you wanted, or just the theme. CM7 comes with a "theme Chooser" app that you can change the themes with. I have RCBlue right now. It looks good, but yours has more flair to it

I don't theme, but I think it would be more practical making a theme for the T-Mobile Theme Engine found in CM7 than to pull apart every nightly and theme it. But, that's me.

[ROM] *BETA* GreenRom Project presents CM7

Before we begin let's set some things straight:
1. This is a beta and is under testing
2. As the post implys, this is CM based(CM7)
3. This is a work in progress
4. This is built, changed, and improved from community response(we need your help!!)
5. This is managed regulary, afa the incredible, by Treken since he has the HTC Inc(This doesn't negate the fact that whole GRP dev team is working on this project to improve it constantly)
We have been hard at work over at the Green Rom Project. Thanks to the dev team, we have managed to establish our github and have begun deving our rom.
Themeing has begun, but allot is needing to be themed. It has been cm based for now and is optimized for better performance during compilation process.
Our goal is to build a stable, efficient, fast, and gorgeous rom for others to enjoy, while learning and teaching others how to develope the android system.
Our site is geared specifically to cater to the noob or even intermediate developer that just wants to learn and have fun doing it, because developing is supposed to be fun otherwise why do it!
Special thanks the following for making this rom possible:
CM for Cm7!! As well as all of his work
XDA for this site
Stoute for our site!!
JBird for all his work and establishing the GRP GitHub
LivLogik for his outstanding graphical work with boot animations
DLamber for his work at GRP
Treken for GRP Inc development
Verizon for providing a solid network

Gapps is available in the"download rom" section of rom manager. We've worked really hard to get this project going. Allot of time and energy has been poured into this project! I have an incredible and am the only one on the dev team that can test. Any feed back will be appreciated. We still have a majority of the rom to theme. Just getting the github lined out was a giant leap for us. You can visit out site and learn to dev and compile your own rom if you choose. It should run nice and smooth a it's been optimized making it run faster. Hope you enjoy it! ;-)
Can youpost a link to the gapps? It wont let me get it w.o like loging in lol

Just did. We left Gapps out because it's available on Rom Manager. Also, it makes the rom much lighter without all the Gapps. By using the Rom Manager you can choose which Gapps you want to install. We've been trying to streamline our rom so that it also improves the speed. Anything that we've removed can be downloaded from the market. I will bee trying to get the change log together for this rom so you will know what's been improved/removed. I'm working 7 days a week right now with little time for moderating our site or deving our rom. Please be patient as I will try to get everything squared away. Thanks!

As soon as I saw this thread it immediately smelled of jdkoreclipse. Sure enough, go to their site, and he posts almost everyday. You would think he would have given up by now.
I don't get it. Your releasing 7.1.0?
So themed CM7 w/build.prop edits?
*Yep
3 different colors of green!
Guess I have not been around long enough because I don't get it - Looks nice

Personally, I'm tired of people calling other people's work their own. Jdk actually contacted me and cleared himself as a developer of this kang. So it really comes down to someone else taking CyanogenMod, changing the boot animation and the build.prop. IMO this thread should be closed until some real development begins.

I don't see what your issue is with ppl kanging CM7 and releasing it? It's marked very clear in the subject it's CM7. It thanks users for contributions. If cyanogen didn't want people to kang him the option wouldn't be available. For example, take a look at how many different CM roms there are at the droid eris forums, nobody *****es and moans about how horrible those devs are for their horrible "stealing" of open source code.

Halo theme

Hey xda people,
Just signed up today. Wanted to thank all the devs for their hard work first of all for making our HD2s stand out. Well I am a hardcore MLG Halo gamer and I looked all over for a Halo theme compatible with any HD2 android rom. I am currently running dorimanx nightly cm7 builds. That guys roms are crazy btw. Thanks dorimanx. Hope you make a cm9 rom. Any help to port a halo theme or if someone made one would be great. Thanks!
greatly appreciated from this side to also on the same rom, Love It!

aosp or aokp o.O

sorry may be a lame question but what's the difference between aosp and aokp?
i am running ics aokp with out knowing what it is lool.
Sent from my GT-P7300 using xda premium
AOKP has some added mods.
AOSP is Android Open Source Project. Its vanilla Android rom, like Google made it. Of course we have made some modification to make it work on our device, but the idea is to keep it as vanilla as possible.
AOKP is Android Open Kang Project. Its alternative to CM, it has some modifications and added features that vanilla Android doesn't have.
So the question is what do you want? Do you want pure Android like Google sees it or do you want added features. I personally prefer vanilla Android.
Ok thanks very much for the detailed answer but i think i like the aokp as i love add-ons and extra finesse
Battery Life...
All things being equal any idea of which might have better life - aokp or aosp? I'm wondering if the extra goodies in aokp consumer more power. I tried both (now on aosp) and either one is fabulous. Aosp seems a tad smoother when comparing at 1.4 GHz (interactive governer).

Evilisto's mods in AOKP

Hey guys i just made a request thread in the AOKP section over at RootzWiki
Check it out HERE!
Hopefully if many people want this it will get implemented in later builds!
Come on and show your support
thats really nice
It is what it is my friend!
Now if you really want to try them out in AOKP go make an account in Rootzwiki and comment there
