Hello,
Just received my Chromecast and it connects flawlessly to my network and all functions seem to be working. My only issue is that the sound in YouTube videos is very tinny. The video looks extremely crisp, just the audio seems to be bad.
My PS3 is connected wirelessly to my network and watching videos gives me the same video quality as the chromecast but no tinny audio.
Does anyone else have an issue with tinny audio?
I have not tested Netflix or any other services as of yet.
EDIT:Netflix seems to be fine, only YouTube has tunny audio. It is more noticeable during commentary and vocals.

I do having the same issue. My Google music sounds fine.

Google music is a little bit better for me.
It seems that Netflix has the best audio, no issues with that. I guess it's mainly YouTube that has the audio issues.

I've had an app like this but it's not what I need. I'd like an app that you can record music. One where you can input a mp3 instrumental. Playback the mp3 and record over and be able to make it one file. pretty much a mobil studio. Auto tune would be cool but not sure if possible anyone wanna try

Mic would distort the input. And you'd have to edit and fine tune through a crappy speaker. It's a useful app idea if you could get the microusb to work as a direct audio in for an instrument cause usb mics are horrid. Then use hq headphones for playback. Might as well carry a laptop, if youre gonna carry all that stuff.

I found that the mic that's with the headset that comes with the phone works better than using the phone plus I could use them for playback

The media API in Android sucks. They are revamping it for Gingerbread.
The streaming on netflix is garbage. Isnt there an HD verseion of netflix app that streams higher res?

Nope. It's the same thing on tablet screens. The picture is optimized to the available bandwidth, but SD is as good as it gets.
I thought it looked pretty good lol

I watched an episode of party down over lte yesterday - quality was fine

The quality is better than that of my tablet.
I hear that TI has a netflix app that streams in 1080i...
I don't mind the video streaming. It's the snap, crackle, and pop in the speaker that is upsetting me.

Has anyone else noticed audio for YouTube and internet videos will lag behind the video that is playing. A reboot fixes this but it seems like it happens way more often than not. Has anyone else experienced this?

The URL input would be awesome.
Slacker Radio
If not local content, at least cast from drive.
Oh and widgets for the home screen. Local weather and a nice clock, to be more specific
Plex!
Something that let's me plug in my earphones to my phone and lets me listen to the audio would be awesome

Local streaming is my #1 by far. Essentially cutting my need to run a HDMI to laptop is the main reason I bought it lol.
As simple as 24p output from netflix, 60hz is terrible! Or am i missing something when 60hz is only I get...?

As the Chromecast picks up the URL of e.g. YouTube or Netflix and takes over the stream, it is unlikely to be able to stream audio to your phone at the same time.

Just got my N3 today and so far I'm digging it. Only issue I'm having is when playing a video off the Web of through the video player it's stuttering/lagging like every 5 seconds. It does this either on wifi or 4g and I know it's not a buffering issue because the video can be 100% buffered and it will still lag. I didn't have this issue on my N2.

Check to see if Youtube videos do this as well, especially any HD content.
My note has started to studder everywhere. Reminds me of old school htc sense. Videos, scrolling through facebook/twitter. Messages app studder when scrolling, sometimes the keyboard doesn't wanna pop up.
I think we have no choice but to deal with these quirks with touch wiz
