[REQ] 9.1.A.1.141 SystemUI.apk and SystemUI.odex - Sony Xperia T, TL, TX, V

Hi guys,
Being the fool I was, I last night mistakenly believed that replacing my systemui.apk with the one from cm10 would be a wonderful idea. Of course this has left me with no status bar, no recent apps etc. I don't want to have to download an entire stock based ROM, or to have to repair back to stock either, so would anyone be kind enough to send me systemui.apk and systemui.odex please?
Thanks!

Changing status bar to classic version?

So I want to change my statusbar to the classic style. (The white version from 2.2 and back) So I was wondering if there is a way to do this. I have a rooted samsung exhibit 2 4g running Rebel Rom 2.1. Any help appreciated
Ok.
yes there is. first grab the statusbar.apk from somewhere (anywhere). then replace the current statusbar.apk with the new one. reboot after. note that it may not work depending on screen size. you may status-brick your phone. (if you know what i mean)

I'm a little new to this. So where in root explorer would that apk be? And where would I find this apk and would it automatically change to the classic version after I replace the old one?

goto /system/apps (different on nearly every phone) and then replace. the status bar will be missing at first so do a reboot. if you cant find the statusbar.apk file then there is an explorer out there (root) that allows you to search for it. im not sure if root ex has it but try anyway. remember to find one designed for your device. (or one which screen size matches) or you could status-brick your phone. as always something could go wrong if you play about with it so i take no responsibility and assure you if you follow all instructions...both instructions (XD) correctly then you should have what you want.

More likely in systemui.apk, located in /system/app...
Well there aren't any roms with that version for my phone. So what would be my next option?

There's a Retro Android theme for CM7 somewhere. That'll have all the icons to make then hopefully you/someone can help create the theme.

Thank you
I have that apk. So what your saying is that I need to find someone who can use this apk to make a status bar apk out of it? Could I replace the current status bar apk with the Retro Droid apk?
Sent from my SGH-T679 using XDA
Yes. Just find the right file.

But since its just a theme wouldn't it not be considered part of the system UI?
Sent from my SGH-T679 using XDA
Depends on the file your replacing ....
I'm gonna try to make the GB statusbar froyo. Tell you how it went

With the icons and all? If successful please let me have it lol. Btw I'm replacing SystemUI.apk

system ui is only icons and out line. example: hold power to get a menu. the icons will be different and maybe the outline a different colour. thats it. the icons also involve check boxes and things. not settings though.

OK, well the forum for rebel rom 2.1 said that systemui.apk is the status bar.apk for that rom. So if I delete systemui.apk and replace it with retrodroid.apk. will I get my desired goal?

Why not just try UOT Kitchen?

How about this lrg theme. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1784715
If your in rooted stock rom just delete the systemui.odex in the system/apk. It says their in the thread.
I never tried it in rooted stock but in lrg custom rom called alba v3 and it works great no problem at all.
Thanks but i already have my own theme and i want to make the notifications transparent and this is done with the xml files hence why i need a decompiled systemui

Just a head's up, if theres was a mod, it would rewrite your SystemUI.apk and any mods that had anything to do with SystemUI.apk will be overwritten. I used to have it on my ROM but it was very unstable and it was very difficult to get it to work with other mods that need the SystemUI.apk modified.

that's why you learn how to mod the systemUI.apk for your current rom if you'd like to use it.
TeamBaked's BlackBean 7 has this feature...very good ROM

[Q]Dialer pad theme changing ?

Hi there, i want to know if someone can teach me how to change my dialer pad. i seen a post about that but it was not explained in detail.
it said in the post that in order to change the theme i need to find phone.apk and open with 7zip and change file in 2 of the folders there.
can one of the themers here help in this ? explain a bit more, point me to the right place?
another question about it, if i take the phone and contacts apk's from JB and replace them with those that are in IZS or Marvel v11 will it work? will it change the dialer looks with no prolems ?
thanks
Sol
Ok. First i tried to take the file from jelly bean and it didnt work. The file i took are from OB custom rom based on cm.
I found a thread for samsung that explain little bit better but will it work for OB that thing seems tricky.

I dont know for sure, since i dont theme myself, but I think you cant simply use, since it probably has got dependencies in framework and other files. If you integrate those somehow, it might work but CMIIW

Hopefully I will catch this thing somehow and someday.
BTW what is CMIIW ? Is it the full abbreviation of CM?

[Q] Stock System Menu background

I have tried using google to find a mod that would change the stock system menu from white to other colors. But I haven't found any. I am am wondering if there is a mod or method to do so? I want to go back to stock on 757 without using custom stock roms. What are ways to change other stock apps to other colors too?
Decompile specific app's apk and edit res files yourself, plently of tutorials lying around. Commonly shared ones might be in framework-res.apk or SystemUI.apk
