Yea I have seen that one when I did google search. But interface is complete different from Sony stock version.

It is the same app but it was updated since it was first included in earlier roms. You could download an older stock rom and extract the apk if you need an older version.

I didn't have a file manager in my stock rom. I do miss a Sony file manager that blends in with the rest of the UI... What region of rom did you have? Was it a branded rom or generic?
Sony never released his own file manager... You just used branded version of stock.

So far it's the best file manager. This is file manager which is worth the price. Others you can delete.

Yeah it appears some Carrier branded roms have the Stock browser. I know O2 Ireland included it with their version.

I heard that before, many people have the stock browser too!!! I can't understand why. Sony decided to exclude it from many regions.
jb has chrome as stock from what I understand..
come across a snag, chrome is using the same name, so will need removing
I don't have root so can't test that.

Just re-name to browser.apk..? It's a zip file now.

It was uploaded as an apk, so your browser has renamed it I guess.

Sorted out the problem (was trying to do it in Windows, now I'm back on a proper OS it's fairly simple to fix )
so here's a working Browser. .
Works for me at least!
I think you'll also need to remove/rename BrowserProviderProxy.apk in system/app/

try removing data/app/chrome apk (in case you updated it)
and data/data/com.android.browser.provider
maybe even data/data/com.android.browser although that should get overwritten..
If not can you get me a logcat? it didn't even need a reboot here.

well, i have already removed chrome through titanium backup, so uninstalled, nothing to be done there
renamed both files you said, and then tried installing the APK which won't install ...
about logcat, need to search how to do that

Worked for me, cheers. I was crashing initially but a restart sorted it. Nice to have the proper browser back. Was missing Quick Controls.
This is so frustrating..
i could not find a way to change system font in setting, it looks like Z1 does not have option at all.
Does anyone know how to change fonts? i wish i could just install font.apk files like galaxy series!!
You can't.
I have many flashable fonts but you have to be rooted and have recovery for that or manually change one file at the other.

It would be shocking if anyone here knew the exact answer to that question, but your guess is probably poised in the right direction. We just got 4.3. Give it some time, and I'm sure someone will have time-shift available for us.

I pulled it, but it's odexed and relies on framework files from the Z1. I haven't had time to mess with it yet...

yea me too nothing changed ... while i tried to manually move the z1s keyboard from the other link in that thread i kept get fc .. however it showed the newer version of keyboard

I extracted "textinput-tng.apk" from Z1S system dump, and install it, but I got FC
Try with my patched services.jar.
You have thread in apps and themes.

Check XZ thread - there's services.jar for Z there.
Framework files shouldn't be crosflashed!

Try to delete old one and manually move apk's to system/app.
Emoj's are in textinput-tng.apk (or chn for Chinese key) in res/drawable.
Maybe there is need for MODed framework, don't know that for sure, but I doubt.

yes i know that buddy all framework files didnot really flashed i had manually moved the files
i tried that before but still it doesnot work size is changed and even versions and also all framework files and lib file but still it show previous emoticons when pressed

I dumped and deodexed the apps and framework from the lateset Z2‘s Firmware 17.1.A.1.2.
Cause there are some issue need be fixed for Flashtool, so FTF still need wait.
@DooMLoRD has made new Kernel+Recovery

Perhaps that resides in one of the framework files... I haven't looked into it too well, but I do know that album and walkman apks look much like other versions...
