I'm on Carbon ROM 7/27 build, though issue seems not to be version based. AT&T is my carrier.
I can receive SMS but not send. A clean install of my ROM fixed this issue, but within a few hours the problem re-emerged. Some Googling suggested I have a bad SMSC code. However, when I tried to initiate the fix through the dialer, I got a message saying "connection problem or invalid mmi code."
If you can help me fix this I would greatly appreciate it!

After upgrading to O2 v1.11.170 i'm having trouble sending SMS-messages.
when sending a message to some people (not everyone) i'm getting the message "Message undeliverable..." and the reciever only recieves half the message with "missing text" at the end.
Exactly same message can be sent to others without problems?
I have tried to downgrade to the original ROM but i still have the same problem and have upgraded to the latest O2 again to no avail.
Does anyone have a clue to fix this problem?

Hello, After flashing a few roms I have this problem that my phone is not sending out any text messages anymore. Sometimes it works, but most of the time I get back an error message that says "SMS could not be sent"
Anyone have similar problems? is it the ROM or is it the Radio, what is it ?

I have Galaxy S I9000 with 2.1-update1 _and_ XXJF3 (rooted). I am facing a strange problem. Whenever I receive any message (SMS) besides normal text one like VCard or some other not fully text message, I got error at the place of content: "<<Content not supported>>".
Can anyone help me in this regard ?

Hey I think I figured it out.
It was doing the same thing for me when I sent or received a text. I'm using a Bell phone on Telus.
What I did was go into phone settings and go to network carriers and manually select my carrier.

Yesterday, mid conversation my SGS decided it wouldn't send any of my sms messages. Receiving sms messages is no problem and calls work fine both ways; MMS Messages also send with no issue. Data connections are fine, I've been receiving data through both edge and 3G. The only issue is that i can not send sms messages no matter what the length.
I was running Darky's ROM v9.2 but as an attempt to fix it i reflashed (wipe) to Darky's ROM v9.3, it did not fix the issue. I've tried sending them from different locations, flicking airplane mode on and off.
I've tried using both the stock Android messaging app and Handcent SMS App.
Does anyone have any insight on what is causing this, it's rather annoying and searching has been fruitless, i can't find anyone else who has even had this issue.

Edit: I fixed the issue, my SMCS number had vanished.

has anyone else had the problem where the rom wont send any texts over 1 message long? Using GO SMS pro, and noticed any texts im sending that are using over 1 message are saying message not sent, then saying it has been sent but the recipent is not actually receiving the message.
any message that is just a standard message seems fine and receiving all messages as far as I can tell is fine aswell. just sending either more than one at once or an extended length message.
any help appreciated!

No prob 4 me..reflash rom,do full wipe see if that works

No worries though gone back to Virtuous Affinity and will try again in a couple of updates or whatever. Seems a nice rom from what i saw anyway!

+1 I too have that bug of not sending messages more than 160 characters
also voice search doesn't work
lockscreen shortcuts magically disappear at times
anyways still its a beta version so let's give NIK some time so that he comes up with an awesome ROM
I had the same problem when i flashed 3.5.. however i updated to 4 and had no problem. If you flashed and reflashed 4.5, you should talk to Nik directly to see if he can find a fix.
Just wait for the update to come ....tooo many bugs
