I had to do a hard reset to my LG Quantum and all my applications were gone.
Now I found out that Facebook Viewer by CambO is not available at Windows Phone store anymore
IMO that was such a cool application and I still have it in my Lumia 710.
Well, how to get it back to my LG Quantum?
1) does anyone have an XAP file of it?
2) can I copy the application from my Lumia 710?
3) are there any other similar & cool Facebook apps for Windows Phone 7? The original Facebook app sucks

Yep, I found it: "the application is not published anymore"
I contacted the developer via Twitter but he hasn't answered me yet.
I succeeded to get extrated installation files from my Lumia, zipped them onced again and changed the file type to XAP.
Now when I try to deploy that file from computer, it gives me an error message.
When I try to install it to directly to my phone, the phone recognizes the application but says it's a signed application and therefore it can only be installed from Windows Marketplace.
Is it possible to install that XAP file if I put it in a specific folder of my phone or similar?
It won't install.
And believe me that App is now worthless and FB has updated their layout which makes the top taskbar cut in the app.

So I was thinking that the contacts picture feature is really under used in most phones. I was wondering if there was a possibility of having an app that would sync contact photos with their profile pictures on facebook. You could sync by name or phone # if your friends have put their cell #s on their profile.
Also as a side note to that it would be nice to have a better facebook application something similar to the Iphone's app where you are able to use facebook chat aswell as see notification popups and such.

/me looks to see if he's on candid camera.
1) Open Market.
2) Search for "facebook"
3) Install app named "Facebook Contact Sync" (Syncs facebook photos to contacts)
4) Install app named "fbook" (general facebook app, no chat)
5) Install app Named "Meebo" (Supports facebook chat)

Well from what i have read on this forum as well as off site, Developing a app for facebook with the abilities of the one for the iphone is virtually impossible at this time.
See, google and myspace are together and microsoft and facebook are together. and with apple, that app has access to the API's within facebook to easily sync and access facebooks information. Google doesnt have that ability since them and microsoft are "enemies". Full functionality with a facebook app for the G1 or android in general is probably not going to happen for a little while unless someone finds a way to access all the information on facebook.
i kinda of have an idea but i am not exactly sure if it would work

Are you the creator of the facebook app?
Bhogan123 I dont really think that that is entirely true though. There are many other programs that have integrated features with facebook. I dont think they are exclusively contracted with any company.

Have you tried emailing the dev and informing him of this issue?
I was being stupid. My album was full, it wasn't the application.
I just use iphone.facebook.com as a bookmark... the app just links you to the page anyways and I find it more stable than the app at times.
fBook application not in Market?
A friend just got the G1 this week. He is looking for the fBook application but cannot find it on the market. If he searches for "fBook" it does not come up. When he looks at the applications by popularity list, it is not there. I sent him the cyrtek barcode link and the market cannot find it: "There are no matches in Android Market for the searchname:com.nextmobileweb.fbook"
I can see it just fine on the market, I can search for it and find it, and the Cyrtek Barcode URL works as well. I do have the apk and I am waiting for him to get home to install it by "hand".
My question is, what could be the reason he does not see it? I do not yet know his firmware version and he is not the "rooting" kind. I assume (shame on me) that if he got the phone this week it should be at least on the RC 33 version, yes?

Search typing facebook, i downloaded today...
Depending on when his supplier got the phone, it may still be on RC30. You should ensure that he's on RC33 at least, if for no other reason than he'll be ready for the OTA update push that's now occuring.
Because the market also works on SDK, if he is on the Android 1.0 SDK, he will not see any 1.1 or 1.5 applications, just as users on the 1.5 SDK will not see any 1.1 or older applications on the market either.

Im runnin ADP 1.5, and Im not really believing that it runs off SDK thing because I just re-rooted my new phone coming from another phone with 1.5 on it. I was able to download it on that phone fine.
I just did a fresh install of jf 1.5 adp, and can no longer find fbook in the market. I had this exact same rom installed previously, and was able to locate it with no difficulties. Seems strange...
I can't find it either and I'm on the new 1.5 official update.
Cyrket.com doesnt even have it listed under the "Social" section for any of the SDK numbers.
Maybe they're fixing it??

I can confirm its been pulled from the market. I just reflashed this morning and could not find the app. So I check my store demos just in case it was blocked. None of my G1s can find it in the market. I miss this app, if someone could upload the apk please, that would be awesome.

I have look thou many post and seems only player can stream mms:// is call AOR "A Online Radio" but in Hong Kong market, i can't locate this application, and neither on any websites, can someone who have this program can share?
it would save me from looping my MP3s during the hours i go to work

I'm alittle unsure of what you are asking, but if you are looking for an online radio program, Pandora is usually your best bet. Hope this is what you are looking for

How do I extract the AOR apk? I installed it from the Market. Where do I get the metro apk?

Oh, I never try the metro app myself, sorry....
Astro file manager would able to do an app backup, then you will find the .apk file in your SD... In my case, it'sunder the 'backup' folder

I am not sure if I have read enough ...but my phone is from smart tone and it come with one of those unrootable asian rom, so seems I am stuck... :`(
Apparently it was removed from the market. Does anybody have the apk? It was a free app, and one of my favorites. I had to do a wipe and didn't backup my apps assuming I could just re-download it from the market.

It works best on wifi as far as connecting, I do get frequent force closes while selecting certain songs. Its always been like that. But for being free and what I get out of it I'm not gonna complain too much.

you have to have the slideme app on your phone and get it that way, for whatever reason musicjunk isnt on there site
Hey just a heads up to anybody who cares, I recently installed market enabler and several Mp3 file sharing apps popped up, also a nice updated version of Music Junk. Outstanding!

just go to slideme.org on your phone and download sam, once installed just run it and click on menu to find the search function.. type music junk, the click it to download it.. its a lot easier than you think

I saw in the market a free twitter app from twitter inc. But I can't download It. Is It possible people with a HD2 or a HD7 download this app and make a .xap from It for all to share?

I can download anything from the market because I changed my settings of the windows live ID.
Change your Live ID (hotmail settings) to "Verenigde Staten" and pick a random state.
Than you can download all the apps. Hopefully this will solve the problem.

Won't work without live id.
however there is a windows phone marketplace for windows pc around.
try it. you can download any free app without live id there.

THIS post has many apps from the market in signed xap format for you to sideload. you do not need to have working live services.

hi please can you show us where we make changes to activate WINDOWS LIVE ID ?
They maybe mean registered your live id before downloading.
Noticed there's quite a few apps not showing up on App market. Anyone know if there's a way to unlock to see all apps?
I have a standalone (no SIM card) unit and I can't see some of the device specific apps like Qik Video Calling. My pre installed software needs an update that's not available.
Hope someone can find a resolution to this.

Root it, download the apk file and install it through internal download or adb if you download the apk over your pc, not through tablet browser.
