Hi, i'm currently downloading the AMG firmware for the Latin Version of the phone from sammobile
GT-I8190L Mexico (Telcel) 2013 July 4.1.2 I8190LUBAMG2 I8190LTCEAMG1
I want to make a flashable zip through CWM with the modem.bin from this firmware.
I need to know if the following steps to achive this are correct:
1)
Open the file using 7zip/winrar..extract the modem.bin file..
Click to collapse
2) Open with 7zip flashable update from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2377753 and replace modem.bin
Thanks in advance!!
Well I just did it... I will post the modem update in a new thread....

I'm currently on DULP8 Indian JB firmware...can i flash the official indian gb DDLK2 firmware over this via odin without using any .pit files.?? because many of them use .pit files for downgrading in their downgrading tutorial..btw which odin should i use??
You need to use odin 1.85 to downgrade. Look in here. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2100642
Hope this helps.

i think you mistook me...my question is : can i flash the firmware itself without using .PIT files over the current JB..?? by the way, mine is a 16GB version... the link posted above is for 8GB version..
Oh..I think you need it and no you can't flash directly gb fw over jb. The 16 gb pit is there somewhere in the forum you can search for it. Instead of downgrade directly to ddlk better use that multi gb in the thread and then flash back the firmware of your country. Sry this doesn't help much.
Link to pit files. See post #4. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2258597
Who has extracted ND3 modem.bin and can make it available to download? Thanks.
Hello I'm looking for a few days the radio firmware 4.19.163.5 sfr / vodafone android 4.2.2.
*
If someone on hand or a link would be nice! I do not know if the radio International versions are identical to the operator but I would test to see the difference.

You can make one by downloading one of the files in [HOW-TO]Flash latest Radio in Recovery then find the OTA for vodafone and extract the radio.img file out of the firmware zip file in the OTA. Replace the radio.img file from the OTA with the radio.img file in the zip you downloaded. You will now have a flashable radio zip of your radio. Once you have the zip you can follow the steps in the HOW-TO thread.
Failed to flash stock (XAR) firmware on U.S model
Using Odin. But can flash U.K (BTU) firmware. Why is it failing to flash U.S firmware?
Downloaded from official sammobile site and from
XDA link. Have pics attached.
Can anyone please advice?
Thank you.
It states;
FAIL! (Auth)
why is the authentication failing?
I also stupidly did not do a twrp backup of the original firmware.
Thanks in advance.

It says you are trying to downgrade your firmware. You have revision 2, you're trying to flash revision 1 firmware.
I guess you're flashing the UK revision 2 firmware T713XXU2APJ1?

Do you mean an older firmware can't be flashed?
This is the older failing firmware:
T713XXU1APG1_T713XAR1APG2_HOME.tar.md5
This is the one that works:
T713XXU2APJ1_T713OXA2APJ1_HOME.tar.md5
Or do mean a different model?
What can I do to fix this?
Thanks for your help.
Yes its UK firmware. I got greedy and didn't wait for the XAR version. So do I wait for the updated USA version then flash that?
Thanks again.

Not really anything to wait for. BTU version will work just fine.
If you're that fussed about it changing your csc, extract the cache and hidden images from the xar rom and repack with 7zip then flash with odin.
For what it's worth you must have already had the latest XAR firmware, so not sure why you felt the need to reflash?

It's the WiFi that's the problem. BTU rom has restricted 5Ghz. Won't go above channel 140Ghz. XAR rom unrestricted 5Ghz bands up to 161Ghz or 165Ghz.
If I do what you suggested with regards to CSC would that also give me higher range 5Ghz bands?
Otherwise everything is perfecto. I got it rooted, xposed installed.
I really appreciate all your help. Saved me a lot of time trying to flash Roms like a maniac.

I thought the U.K version is 2 months newer. Now that I think of it, maybe it just came out later behind the U.S version.
Hey thanks again.

I did what you suggested, flashed the CSC and I now have ch 161 working. Less interference with higher channels.
You're the best.
BTW, the BTU firmware has the September security patch.

Hi i have a n920a unlocked gsm and i have Android 6.0.1. I would like to upgrade to 7.0 but ota does not look for updates and Smart Switch does not find them. flashando ap, bl, cp and csc via odin I will lose the unlock for GSM networks? c is some other method to update to nougat?
If your phone is already unlocked, you will not lose the unlocked status if you update the firmware. Use odin.
When I can find this firmware?
I have find a firmware. When i flash with odin what should i flash between ap bl cp and csc?

When you extract the archived firmware file you downloaded, you should end up with a .tar.MD5 file. Put that in Odin's AP slot and flash it.
Thank you. I have find a firmware at&t but I dont like at&t customization. Can I flash the firmware of another note 5 for example n920c?

u cant ....u should install 920a firmware only.
and u cant even remove these customization after install cuz no root available
u can disable them only,i mean att bloatware
When I have buy my n920a was installed 6.0.1 but there wasn't at&t customization
Samsung support will likely not be okay even if you flash official firmwares through Odin. We once tried this as the Official unmodified Samsung firmware for the S7 broke to due to an official Google Business Android security update which stopped the phone from booting.
Then again, the slimy bastards will try to get out of everything.

When you flash via ODIN all you have to do is flash the latest. No need to upgrade in between.
