I tried to revert back to old Samsung 4.1.2 from Paranoid Android and messed my N7000 up...
Got Paranoid Android (P.A) back but it is now stuck in a boot loop ...
Install CWM-based Recovery v6.0.3.2 and I can now see all the files on SD and internal memory
I tried to re-install P.A but only selected the wipe cache partition and wipe dalvik cache options, never Wipe data/Factory
Is it safe to do a Wipe data/Factory reset, then and then wipe cache partition, wipe dalvik cache and then re-install P.A???
If you are on a cm kernel then it's safe. You will need to wipe data to get out of boot loop.

Hi!
I have a problem after trying to flash Cyanogen 9 on my Galaxy note and now it can't get pass the "Touch android to begin" screen.
I have tried flashing the stock rom using Odin but it still encounters this error.
Is there anything i could do to save it
Just go into recovery and wipe cache and dalvik cache and reboot and it will be fine

I usually use this step (its work when JB still on kernel v2 /4.1.1 )
Wipe data/factory reset
Wipe cache
Wipe dalvic cache
Wipe batery stats
Wipe system
Instal ROM +gapps
wipe data/factory reset
Boot
Or maybe I got wrong the arrangement??

No notification panel, no task manager, no buttons in camera after flashing stock German jb rom on rooted stock ics(Indian rom) using pc Odin...what could have gone wrong?
Flash philz kernel.
Reboot into recovery and wipe data cache and dalvik.
You should be good.
If not wipe data cache dalvik system preload and .androidsecure in Philz and then ref lash ROM in PC Odin.
If you continue to have problems after that then post back.
Please hit thanks If this helped.

Is it necessary to flash philz kernel or should I just clear dalvik and data cache...then reflash ??

No, try first with cleaning cache and dalvik cache. Reboot and check again.
If cache cleaning doesn't help then you might try reflashing it.
You should flash philz before any wipes.
You said yoiure on rooted stock...as in stock kernel too, no?

why not do a clean install of JB by formatting system and data partitions
i'm currently on this ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2398003 and I wanted to try something else..
I have cwm 6.0.0.8 after wiping data/ factory reset> wipe cache partition>wipe dalvik cache> flash this ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2562336
after rebooting, it just bootloops. Can someone tell me what I did wrong and what I need to do to get it right?

well, since the CM10.1 installs the system files in a different directory [different than 4.1.2 or older directory]
you have to do a full wipe [format /system , format /data , format /cache] from the mount and unmount section in the CWM
before you flash the ICS rom, it doesn't matter which version of CWM you're flashing the ROM from.
hope this would help
