There are dozens of ROM for JVR and I can't try them all, so for those of you who have, what is the best, most stable, fastest, good wifi range, great battery life ROMs out there? Any help will be appreciated
Donno much, still nu 2 flashing Roms. But have tried SURFACE with Paulgiddy theme. Worked perfectly for 3 days then FC started appearing every 3 seconds. Donno if the problem is with Rom or of theme (or some other).
Y dont you put up a poll for it? Should be useful.....
Thanks for the tip!

i fear, nobody can try and compare them all ... in order to answer your Q properly.
after getting all kind of FC's and sudden reboots with "Juwes v5.1" and "F1 Galaxy SII v6" i changed to Criskelo Ginger v77 and am now using v79.
The theme is somehow strange and has some bugs, but in general my phone is running fine without FC's and sudden reboots.
i deleted some of the Samsung files, changed the dialer and changed to Semaphore 1.5 kernel.
I'm not completely convinced that this is the best ROM, but i hope there will be some further development at least to address some bugs.
I don't like to wipe and install all my apps again and again and again ....
I would have to say tornado and ive been flashing roms for awhile now and it's the best one ive come across. Stable and super fast.

What about Juwe Rom?? Seems to be leading in your poll by quite some margin...
Juwe 5.3 for me is the best jvr rom i've tried so far. I had some lag caused by Android system closing my launcher (AWD) with heavy memory usage but this problem happened to me with ALL jvr rom (also the stock one). No problems with stock launcher (Touchwiz 4.0)

Ok im not daily Flashing guy, i need stability and longer battery life.
I have tried Darky's (too buggy for me) and Indian ICS version also getting slowing and stucking nowadays badly with bad battery life ..
Each rom size is around >600mb and that is really headache for me to download and try 5-6 roms
Normally i like to test and match rom for my personal taste but in note case i would like to take advise with existing phone users.
May you advise me which is best rom for stability and battery life?
Try this on my signature...

best rom for galaxy note
Best rom from far criskelo rom. I tested all of them. Is like having galaxy s3 into a galaxy jote. Works as smooth as s3. Even better in gaming. benchmark result without overclocking on criskelo 3900-4100 without restart and without task manager cleared.

Im using this rom/kernel for a few months, is the most fast and stable combo u can get. The developer Updates the sources everyday, the progress is awesome, u can get easy 7300-7600 with antutu's benchmark with the latest build. And with the ndxt Kernel version (10.5 i think) u can get 8100 in antutu.
Is really awesome, u should view how it change your user xp on the note

What is the best ROM for the GT-N7000 ?
Criskelo!!!!!!! i am not the custom rom guy i use stock with root access. I also prefer stability than extra usability. But criskelo is definiteky the closest to stock custim version. It is stable and u will like it.

Hi guys,
So... I've tried a few ROMs on my note... currently on CM10 preview 3. I'm asking as above what is the best ICS or above ROM (fastest) which also has good battery life?...
Or.... what are the best settings to use on CM10 p3 for fastest yet good battery life? I've seen that NoteCore ROM... is that good?
Thanks.

Actually I have discovered this ROM yesterday and I am using it for a 2 days. Excellent.
But I have a question, should I stay with current v8 kernel or it is ok to move to v11.
I am not sure if I am going to ruin my battery life and performance.
Thanks in advance
I have tried em all and have found a winning rom:
[ROM][ICS][01-08-12][0.8] AniDroid-N7000 (CM9 | 3.0.38 | SLQB | OC)
Using that rom with its stock kernel I am getting very nice performance and battery life!! 3G+ data+sync on (WIFI and the rest disabled) I am getting 1% an hour drain! I am tempted to try a CM10 but I would only be doing so 'to have the latest' whilst not necessarily being 'the greatest'. I do get itchy though but will probably await for the Project Butter to be working and then I'll switch.

I'm on Cleannote v4 and Notecore v11... the performance is great and I think the battery life is very good, and think most on both would agree.
If you don't like touchwiz, basic ROMs, then this may not be the right combination for you... but I find it clean, smooth, and efficient. I don't care about all the extras, just want a phone that works and runs my apps dependably and quickly.
Give v11 a try. Just do a nandroid first and you can always flash back if you don't like it for some reason (I can't think of any reason).

I would recommend to stick with it if you are not facing any issues.
Since you want to upgrade Use only Standard version. OC versions drains battery pretty fast.

Fastest ROM is Asylum CM 10.1. If you are flashoholic, you will never find your battery giving more backup. You have to give your phone some time to adjust itself with the kernel.

Hey, welcome to XDA!
First of all you need to read the rules because this kind of thread is not allowed.
To know about the ROMs just read their respectives threads and ask about it to people there.

I Think Pure Vanilla and galexperia are best rom and with minimum bugs. CM10.1 comes with lot of bugs but Lot more features also.
CoCore-E-4.2- is good and also saves battery
I prefer CoCore-E-6.8- it consumes more battery but performance is very nice
Try this kernals with different Custom ROM and u will come to know which is best for you.

What he is saying is that you can do a lot of customization with a rooted phone and Xposed without flashing a custom ROM. The downside is that you are still stuck with a lot of bloat in the stock apps. There are ways to remove them but doesn't always work and can cause other problems. And there are limits to Xposed. The upside is it is less risky to go the Xposed/root/stock route.
I have tried numerous custom ROM's and they all have pros and cons. I have been on AOSP with Monster Kernel and Slim_zero_gapps_beta for a while now and am very pleased with it. Minimal OS is also quite good, but I have a custom app that I use and it didn't work with Minimal. If not for that it would be my ROM of choice.
In spite of what some people will tell you, there is no "perfect" ROM that meets all needs for all users. I suggest you try a couple and see what works for you. However, be sure you have read all you can about flashing ROM's and when you think you understand it all, read it again. Always do a nanroid backup of your current working config before flashing. Store all backups and files you need to flash on your external SD-Card. Don't switch from one ROM to another without doing a full wipe. Use TWRP 2.8.x for your recovery.
Once again be sure you have a good understanding of the steps you need to follow before flashing any ROM. I see far too many sad pleas for help from users who jumped in too quickly and have bricked their devices. Do the research before you proceed. Don't expect to led by the hand but don't be afraid to ask questions if something is not clear. Good luck my friend.
I have been using AOSP for a while, and I'm happy with it (cuz it has awesome battery backup). However, AOSP's latest build now has battery drain issue, and I have to find another ROM that is bug-free and has good battery backup.
Can anyone suggest some stable ROMs which last about 5h sot? Thanks in advance!

I'm using Minimal OS, works like a charm. Great battery and performance, also, no bugs so far.
ROMS I've seperated into category's (NOTE THIS IS IN MY OPINION)
Performance : Radium Redefined (5.0.2)bundled with Stellar Kernel (It aslo has amazing battery backup but i like it for its perfomance)
Battery : Fusion (5.1.1) with Halogen Kernel
Balanced : Minimal OS with Decipher Kernel
Overall : Titan Prime Anorexic bundled with Stellar Kernel (find this on the titan prime rom website, link in the TP thread)
Note except Minimal OS, all other ROM's ive mentioned, I've used Abhisheks battery guide (in general section of forum)

If you're going for a daily driver then I'd suggest you use stock+stellar kernel with xposed (Stellar Kernel+Amplify+PowerNap=Epicness). Minimal OS is good and all with balanced performance with decipher kernel but I'd still go with the stock.

Also try a stock based custom rom called Radium Redefined with Stellar Kernel (You won't need to flash xposed with this cause the battery backup is amazing, close to 6 hrs of screen on time)
