Setting up rooted g1 battery drain

I am setting up my old g1 for my son. So far rooted it, running 2.2.1 cyanogenmod 6.1.0-ds frg83, baseband 2.22.23.02. I am having excessive battery drain, I know there is a new radio, or two out for ,the g1 and mixed opinions if the new radio helps with drain. I am wondering if there is anything that has helped that maybe I have missed. Is cm 6.1 to much for the g1?
Thanks nikki

I'm using a G1 with CM 6.1 and not having battery issues. I did do a battery stats wipe, as others have suggested. And of course I keep WiFi and GPS turned off unless I'm actually using them. My battery's a year old, but I still get a full day out of it usually.
Yeah wiped battery stats. still have original battery,.it might need replaced. I downloaded a couple apps that say battery is in good condition, but I don't know if its correct or not. guess I will replace battery see if that helps. Thanks every one

HTC one battery 4.1.2 vs 4.2.2

Hi guys, I was wondering if there would be a significant difference in battery life between 4.1.2 and 4.2.2. Both would be the sense roms from HTC and not aosp.

probably not significant but by design 4.2 should be better than 4.1
I personally have seen a significant increase in batter since updating to 4.2.2

+1 4.2 better standby is crazy better it showing estimates of 6-7 days in standby as before was showing only a little over a day

scarecely recentn
Darn.. It makes me sad since it won't be another month or two until sprint gets the update...
I am also seeing a noticeable improvement in the battery life, plus the ui and scrolling is smoother on 4.2

Ya battery is about 15 % better and standby is 30% better imo
HTC ONE rooted,S-Off,SuperCid

Weird battery problem...

My butterfly s has been fantastic in almost every aspects..
But i ve found a weird problem regarding the battery..
It can normally last for a whole day, which is really pleasing me. But if i drain it to below 15%, it drains much faster. What i mean is it can be 10% after 2min and 1% after another 2min...
Is it a software problem or a hardware one
Thanks in advance!
Edit: one thing i have missed, when i connect it to a charger, it jumps to 10% after seconds...

It's normal for Li-Pol batteries - same issue with my 901s phone. Also don't use the phone with less than 20% battery unless you really need to, as that's the critical point for the battery and if you go below that level, it shortens battery life and can degrade the battery capacity.

MAJOR Battery problem!

I have recently bought a HTC One and the battery is behaving very poorly. My screen brightness is set to around 25% and I only have location services and Auto-Sync on and I can't even go half a day with this thing. I have tried running all kinds of different ROMs to see if that changes anything but it doesn't.Side note it was bought from Swappa if that changes anything.

Look at the first screen shot, warning signs already. Your screen was only on for 30 minutes and yet your phone was AWAKE for almost 5 hours. I see your using 3g data but your Wifi has been on for almost 6 hours. Also your phone radio is using up quite a bit of juice which I assume is because your signal isn't great. Biggest recommendation right now, turn off the location stuff, they are battery hogs. You should also download betterbatterystats which breaks down all the things keeping your phone awake
I also can propose to you to turn off the wi fi ... For me it eats my battery more than the 3G signal.

Even with low signal, this a very odd behavior. The battery is draining too fast.
Try downloading CPU-Z and check the active processor cores and sensor operation. You might have a defective unit.
Good luck.

Turning of WiFi has no difference in battery as well as turning off Mobile Network completely. I do think I have a defective unit though, but I have bought this off of Swappa and don't know where to start.

As Galactus said, get betterbatterystats to check your wakelocks.. A "Held Awake" time of almost 10x as much as screen on is no good!

I have downloaded BBS and will report soon.

how long how you need unplugged by that screenshot i see nothing that would cause a 4 hour waketime
I had to charge the device to 58% so I could use it.

Try the new ViperONE rom 3.1.0 it has much better battery performance, i had issues with battery too, but after flashing with this rom , it's much much better battery life.
I'm using Android Revoloution atm but I haven't tried viper yet, will probably try tonight.

In BBS you need to show us your partial wake locks and personally I find most roms to be the same regarding battery life. I don't think the device is defective, something whether its a rogue app or a messed up file is keeping the phone on when you have your screen off

[Q] HTC One 802W - Battery icon while charging

When I charge my HTC an battery icon shows up...how can I remove it?
This icon is there when charging either phone on or off. Tried all setting options but no luck. Phone is not rooted and running 4.2.2.
Anyone one else have same issue? Googled and apparently few others have same issue but no solution found. Any assistance?
Doesn't sound like an issue. It sounds like a useful feature.
Not at night when you want to charge your phone and screen keeps glowing! Anyways thanks for your response.

Install an older hboot. Perhaps the equivalent of 1.54 on the normal One (around June). You'll need S-Off.
Anyway, I thought it dimmed after a while? Put your phone face down?
Finally this is taken care of with 4.4.2 update ?
