[Q] Restoring an SMS backup

Hey there!
Before going to Darkky's Gingerbread ROM (v8.0) (awesome btw), I made a backup of my SMS, both once with Kies and once with Platinum Backup. I am trying to restore them now. However, it won't work with the new version of Kies (and I'm not so sure it's compatible with the this custom ROM either). Also, I can't seem to get it back with Platinum Backup (I have pro now btw, but made the backup with the free version).
Does anyone know a method to restore my SMS files?

Does anyone has a titanium backup of com.lge.hiddenmenu ? I need to restore mine.
I have the stock rom LGP990-V10f (Vodafone Romania).

Or can anyone do a backup and post it here ?

Hey, I recently upgraded my Z1 to 4.4(Flashtool) but when i try to restore backup, appears this, how can i fix that?
"selected backup records cannot be used due to incompatible software versions. Please select a more recent backup file"
Please help me!

What are you trying to restore? What app are you using to restore? Maybe the app is not compatible with KitKat (i.e. not Sony problem).

People, if you do not explain what tool are you using, which version, which firmware, which phone model, and so on, we cannot help much.

[Q] Help Need to Restore .SDF File LG 4X HD P880

Hello all,
I'm quite new to forum. I need a big favor from somebody who can.
I have updated My P880 to CyanogenMod 10.1.3 RC2-P880. I love it. (Soft briked twice while process)
However finally CyanogenMod with my device. However before I install the CyanogenMod, I have back up my contacts and messages to SD card using LG Back up and Restore app.
It stored in SD card as SBF file. After I flash the rom, I try to restore that backup file. NO LUCK. :crying:
I googled / yahooed / bingged.... I could't find any solutions.
If anybody knows something please help me, or if somebody can extract LG Backup and Restore APK from your p880 please upload it for me or if somebody knows any app for open SBF file please let me know.
Any help would be count!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

[Q] Need to backup the stock rom v16

Hi all I am from India and I got this Mi3 phone a while back in august. Now i have never updated the phone and its in version MIUI-KXDMIBE16.0.
i am very satisfied with it and I have never wanted to update as of now. battery life is great. Not i've seen that the newer update provides more ram space and so on. I want to update to the new version. But problem is that If i dont like it I want to comeback to this (v16) version. i have looked online and no one seems to have the stock rom of the mi3 v16. If I update it means I can never come back to this rom only version 15 or version 18 is available on net.
So here are my questions
1. can i make a stock backup from my existing phone? If yes how? (I need to upload a copy to the forum also seen a couple of people asking for it)
2. if stock is not possible can i use any other recovery to backup this current rom and revert back to it? if yes how?

Use cwm recovery to backup and restore a nandroid backup.

if i do that can my friend also use the my backup and restore his mobile to v16?
