Phone is going into boot loop again and again - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

m stuck in a serious problem here..if possible kindly help me..
few days back i was having problem of charging time of my phone. It started taking more than 5 hours to charge(n7000), and sometimes it stucks..like if its 20% then it will remain 20% until i unplug it and replug it after few seconds. 2 day ago, when i was unlocking my screen,it stuck there for around 2 minutes, then i took off the battery tried booting up. It stuck on "GT-N7000" logo screen. but fortunately it was able to go to recovery mode and download mode so I flashed the firmware back via odin(did all kind of wipes). For two days,it was great. and on being the safer side i did not do anything liek rooting or adding any stuff except whatsapp.
Now today again, that charging problem came from nowhere..it stuck on 40%and did rose to 41% after 10 minutes and no wifi, gps , data, was on that time..and when i tried to reboot it stuck on the the logo screen
whats happening??????

read your own post there and of course the answer and help not-i gave you a few posts after.

Tilt stuck in reboot loop, battery maybe??

So I had my tilt for about a month, was happy flashing away ROMs every few days, when it got stuck constantly rebooting, not even making it to where you could see the RGD version numbers. Sometimes it MIGHT get all the way in, but would only last a minute or two before randomly going back into the boot loop.
Also, the only way to get it to boot at all was to plug it into the AC adapter. If I tried to turn it on w/o it being plugged in, it just sat there, black. Then as soon as you plugged it back in it would automatically go right back into the loop.
I figured I had busted it (because i tried EVERYTHING I could find on the forums), so I got it into bootloader mode (which always DID work fine), went back to stock, and did an RMA.
Got the new phone this morning, moved over the battery, cover, stylus, and booted up just fine...... Then after about 8 minutes, boom, back to the restart loop.
(yes i tried no SD/SIM card, same results).
so after plugging and unplugging the AC adapter about 20 times, i managed to get it to where the little orange light came on and it DIDNT try to enter the boot loop. I let it sit for about 2 hours, then successfully booted up. I clicked the battery icon and saw that it was at 0%. Let it sit for about 30 minuted, checked back, 1%.
So I let it sit for about 5 hours, and the battery read 100%. I unplugged it and headed off to my evening engineering class. (still no sim card tho because i wanted to eliminate that as a cause). And eventually, about 2 hours later, click... it tried to reboot once, then went black.
I called ATT and told them, and they will be sending out a new battery. Is it possible the battery has some mechanism busted where it reports to the phone what % charge it is, and wont boot otherwise?
Any ideas will be great, and I will come back and update this thread after I get the new battery.
Thanks!
no thoughts anyone?
hi
I had exactly the same problem...updated radio to 1.65.30.09 and then endless reboot loop. tried hard reset, downgraded radio version, installed another rom, nothing worked. Finally tried hard spl, and booted fine. im feeling very happy, i allready thought that i had ruined my htc polaris. hope it helps anyone. zorry my bad english, I'm from Estonia

[Q] My Note is Dead X_X // Privacy Question

When I send back my SGNote to Samsung, is their protocol deleting the DATA from the device [internal (sd)] first? Basically, what happens to my data?
WHAT HAPPENED: I was downloading an app through the Amazon App Store when my phone froze. I put it down and walked away to the kitchen when I heard the boot up sound a couple of minutes later. I walk back to see that my SGNote was stuck with the Samsung/N7000 logo. I left it for several more minutes and decided to pull the battery out.
I booted into recovery mode and just randomly decided to do "Fix Permissions" which I knew wouldn't fix the problem then it rebooted itself and was still stuck at the logo. I pull the battery out and waited a couple of seconds; I put the battery in and the phone would not turn on at all. At least I'm pretty sure the screen won't turn on. I plug in the phone to the wall charger but still nothing.
TL;DR It's definitely dead.

Charging in fastboot?/ cant charge my battery,

hey guys im stuck now and would like you see the community imput on this, thank you!
3 Days ago my phone froze (custom rom and kernel), i removed the battery and started the phone up again.... i was **** faced at a concert and was impatient as it was on the htc screen, i went into recover and re installed my rom (i have no idea why i didnt install my nand back up.)
The rom installed fine, than it was loading at the htc screen and after 3 min, i took out the battery (mistake on my part)
and at this point is where i really screwed my self, i did a factory reset from fastboot...
now my battery is dead and i cant access recovery, i can push it there through fastboot but when the phone reboots into recovery it dosnt have enoufe battery...
and i cant install my back up or my rom because of this!
when i plug my phone into charge, it charges for about 2 minutes than turns on... but it gets stuck at the htc logo because i didnt a fastboot reset
To get into fastboot, i plug my phone in and wait till it automatically turns on and than hold the volume button down once it vibrates. this dosnt always work and is quite a skill actually!
When i load fastboot/bootloader and the phone checks for update zip's it says battery voltage is too low!
please change a battery...
I had a similar experience only with a Rom that allowed the battery to drain completely dead before shutting down. Then when I plugged it into the charger it would charge for about 3 seconds and go off. Too dead to charge! The fix?
to buy a seperate battery charger off E-Bay that allowed me to charge the battery externally.
I got one for $8.00 and received it within a couple of days. No way arround it, you need to charge that battery!!! Gary

[Resolved]Bricked phone or battery problems?

Hello, I'll start with writing all the things i did:
I flashed JenaMIUI v1.29 succesfully then i waited about 30 minutes at the boot image, then I got the battery out, tried again another 10 minutes stuck at the boot image. After that I reflashed JenaMIUI v1.29 wiped data etc...same thing, stuck at boot image, I got the battery out and back in, one time just after turning on the phone ( before the boot image appear). Then I could'nt start the phone in recovery or normal or download mode. After some tries and leaving the phone for a few minutes i managed to start it normally( but still stuck at boot image) , so I wasn't able to get to recovery, one time I managed to power it up with the charger on, it showed a circle 1/4 full and then went to boot image. Now I'm not able to power up the phone at all, I tried getting the battery out and back in several times. When I connect the charger to the phone with no battery in it, it shows a black screen for a second then nothing. I am not able to start it in recovery or any other way. Is this a battery problem or sth like the mother board ? The bin counter is set to 0 (using triange away), can I take it to service ?
One more thing, when i managed to start it normally and was stuck at boot image i pressed all keys(vol up,down, home, power) and went into a black screen saying something with ARM ..idk.
Is this a battery problem or a brick ? What can I do ?
EDIT: I think the problem was caused by pulling out the battery right after powering on the phone, solution...disconnect battery from phone leave it for 10 minutes, hold power button for 30seconds then turn on the phone in download mode and flash stock...that worked for me
Are you stuck on Miui bootanimation?
Now i can't get it to turn on...i tried replacing the battery , but when i press power nothing happens
Edit: I'm pretty sure is battery problems because I pulled out and put in the battery very fast ...
no, never pull out battery while the device is on splash screen. Wait till boot animation at least. In that moment the kernel is being loaded. This is also causing the recovery bug. People get boot-loop and reset their phone by pulling out the battery. It's actually true, it's the same as if you turn off your PC by unplugging it from power cord.
So if the kernel has some problems because i pulled the battery out while it was loading...can I take it to service ? Can they see what ROM I have installed regardless of my 0 bin counter ? Will they give me a new phone or sth ? Will a lie like...I tried to change the grey case with the orange case and the battery fell out while I reseted the phone work ?
EDIT: I managed to "repair" my phone ! I used a method I found on the internet. I hold the power button for 30 seconds ( while the battery was disconnected) and then put the battery in and I managed to get it in download mode and flash stock rom, now everything works great)
Sorry for the inconvenience, i wrongly packed the rom

Has my note hardbricked?

Yesterday i was recording video on my note, and when i stopped recording, it got stuck on the screen. after waiting for some time, i had to hard reset my phone. I pressed the power button for a few seconds and phone shut down. But it refused to start up,however hard i have tried. I tried booting to recovery and download mode....but still nothing happened. It refused to enter recovery or download mode...:crying:
I got home and tried to connect to my pc, nothing hapened. I tried charging it, but no signs of charging. Tried ADB, couldnt recognize my device...
I was on Aylum 4.4.1(6 DEC nightly) using herna's kernel and rooted using SuperSU 1.80. No extra mods installed. Was running fluidly for 2 days...no freezes, etc. And suddenly died....
Please guys help me out. Is my note bricked?
Try removing the battery and waiting 10 minutes. After that then put the battery back in and try to boot it up. If that doesn't work then try a different battery in your phone or try to recharge you current battery through a recharger (you can buy them on ebay)
