4.3 TiBu can't uninstall system apps? - Motorola Atrix HD

It works fine on any 4.2.2 ROM, but 4.3 makes it impossible. It shows me attached message when I try. And I did allow root and everything correctly.

What ROM are you using?

You have to make it not a system app first. Although I don't recommend removing system apps. If anything freeze them.

I might have deleted something from system/app, if I do a factory reset and retry will it work?
Sent from my MB886 using xda app-developers app
Nope...im in the same boat...
They told me you have to reinstall the missing system apps...
At the moment im searching for the stock at&t boot logo....any ideas?
You are rooted obviously
1. Backup apps with Titanium Backup
2. Flash Stock ICS with RSD
3. Root again and restore apps
4. Update to JB
I will do the same

[Q] How do you remove AT&T address book on Atrix HD?

I have a rooted Atrix HD Jelly Bean 4.1.1. Thanks.
Use titanium backup. Make a back up of adress book and un-install it. It's what I did
Sent from my MB886 using xda app-developers app
I used ROM Toolbox, go into app manager and find it. Then just click uninstall, I would recommend backing up first though

First, I will make a backup.
Thanks

(Q) cm10.1 kindle app with tts

Really excited about cm10.1 on the kfhd but my wife I fear has an understandable deal breaker, she lets the kindle read aloud to her using the tts ability in the kindle app but the play store kindle app does not have this ability...
Has anyone ported the app or does anyone know a work around other than stripping drm and using a second app?
Sent from my GT-P3110 using xda app-developers app
You can pull the .apk from the Kindle and install it on CM10.1, try to see if that will work. If you've got Hashcode's TWRP installed, make a backup of the ROM you're on, then use a file manager with root access to go into the /system folder, copy the .apk and move the copy to /sdcard, then transfer it to your computer. After you load CM10.1, move the .apk to the tablet again and install it. If it works, you're good to go. If it doesn't, and you're not happy, boot into recovery and restore the backup, and you'll be back to where you were before CM10.1.

For one you need the amazon framework for that app to work

Changing fonts?

Hello fellow AHD users! I was wondering if there were any way to change fonts on this phone? I've used quite a few apps from the play store, but they all end in a soft brick. I'm running on Carbon 4.3 nightly. Thanks

Also, this was meant for Q&A if someone feels the need to move it. Sorry about that.

There are a few on the clockworkmod application that I like, you can download those and flash them via recovery. Other than that, try "iFont" on Google Play.
Ifont works good.

Always used Font Installer from jrummy apps

Thanks guys. I tried the ones you listed and decided on Font Changer. I tried ifont before and it bricked my phone. Anyway! Thanks again.

ROM's offered in ROM Manager

I've seen cm ROMs being offered to our device and used them myself but saw "Shoredroid". Has anyone tried these ROMs? if so are they worth our time?
Sent from my MB886 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I don't suggest using ROM manager ROMs at all... Or anything from it. It didn't get it's nickname "ROM Mangler" for nothing xD. Stick to Goomanager ROMs and use get.cm for CM nightlies.

Just stick with what we have here.

The cm roms worked fine from the program. Just didn't like the 4.3 since it drained the crap out of my battery... Went back to stock. Just looking for something different.

If you're also using recovery from ROM manager (photon q) you'll want our official one. And just find a ROM in the development section here and flash away. Just remember to make backups and wipe stuff.

There is no best ROM/Kernel, try them all and see which "best" suits you.
