Hey guyz im using stock jb DDULP8 with stock kernel and the rom is rooted..im using reliance 3g connection and the network mode selected is wcdma only in settings> more settings> mobile network> network mode. But it keeps on interchanging with H signal and 3g signal. And when H is coming, connection is great but whenever 3g sign flashing, Im nt been able to access internet..is there any way to make the H sign stable?
My bro has got a galaxy grand and he is also using the same connection and in his phone, only H sign coming when wcdma mode is activated and he is using it with great speed..so plz help me guyz to make that H signal become stable in our galaxy s advance.

Are you two on the same network provider? Maybe yours have bad coverage. Try puting your sim in his phone and his sim in your phone. See what happends.

First understand that it depends on SIGNAL RECEPTION! Can you make more water level in pool without adding more water??? NO!
So I told you to try your brothers SIM card, to see if it works ok with it. If it works ok with it than your provider have BAD signal in area where you try it.

That is not showing to me too. Try that build.prop lines. But like I said be carefull. Do not screem after that My phone will not boot!!! Because build.prop permissions MUST be 644, and some editors can change it. You need to go to properties and set it to 644 (use ES file explorer for example, and set RW to system partition).

Ive tried this by adding those lines in build prop..I had restarted my phn then tried connecting 3g but still 3g sign coming and no internet access until H sign flashes

Android's RIL works in a systematic way. Sometimes the internet may indefinitely stay at the 3G sign, and there might be a problem. Logcats at this stage can say a lot about what's going on with the internet connection. I used to have this problem as well with my previous devices, and it was a small problem to me as well. You could probably send me a logcat so that I can see where the problem is, otherwise you're gonna have to keep your attitude to yourself and stop the demands.
You wouldn't care where I sent this message from.

Yes you can flash your phone with v20n and also all other availiable firmwares. Reason? Cause it is like Windows, or are you only able to use 1 Windows/Linux on ur PC?
Its just an operating system

One more thing, but only if you really have a P970 not an H or Bright, or whatever all the other phones are called, cause those have different basebands for the different countries and networks, AFAIK.
But you should be fine and if you cant find your language then, install morelocal2 from market, that should get your language on your phone as well

Maybe same problem with my OB with Lezo ROM
Try to re-edit APNs name or just add some APN manually, u‘ll be able to use mobile data network

Yes. I'm using Marvel v5 and also tried Echelon. Both are V20N based and failed to connect to mobile data network.

I'm from Indonesia to bro. I've tried v20N on my OB, and worked well. Only APN setting that we should set manually.
Now I'm using Zeus v5.03 Lite (v20N based) and no problem at all.

Yesterday I downloaded the lastest firmware for Galaxy Mini, JPKT2. Then flashed the firmware to my mini.

But today, I got this strange. I'm really2 in 3G network area. But the the device using 2G network. Then I switch to WCDMA Only. The device lost signal / data icon. But I still can using the device for sms and internet.

Oh... I'm sorry.. In fact, I think I'm not so simple judge if JPKT2 have that bug.
Because after I change my simcard with other provider / carrier, that's not happen again.
This firmware is running so good, after rooted and delete some apps in system.
i looking in XDA forum & suddenly all Forum funtion changed...

I think almost 1 month no cleared cache, i think is time to do some CCleaner & defragment for my PC...
CCleaner cleans caches, browser history, cookies, etc... that have caused this problem...
But its no big deal isn't it? Just scroll down and select xda 2013!

Both TWRP and CWM are known as custom recovery program created to flash mods, themes, apps, kernels, ROMs, wipe system, wipe data, etc.. But in my opinion TWRP is much more user friendly, since it is very easy to use and it has fully touch driven user interface so no need to press volume rocker or power buttons like CWM...

it is about USB OTG and it shows that SGSA 9070 is supported.
download USB OTG Helper from play store and try it.
As far as I know, our phone has the capability for OTG support but its disabled by Samsung... I think its a kernel feature and I believe that Cocafe is working on it.... So, you guys need to wait till he finds a soulution for this...

What did you try?
Dude, what exactly are you do it from begining?
I mean, what ROM, kernel, flashed zips/theme tell exactly what are you do it before.
Android is upgrading message is shown when catche and dalvic catche is wiped. You have installed some scripts which wipes catche on reboot. It will cause no problem on your phone. Just ignore it.
