Hi.
I've got an weird issue with my HTC One.
Sometimes, but always with the same caller / Hotline, my call volume is extremely low, even with max volume.
I can't really figure out why...
Affected by this problem is the work phone of my sister, as well as the Hotline of my mobile and internet provider.
While the phone is ringing the volume is totally fine, but if they pick up my call (this also happens when they call me) they are so silent, that I can hardly understand them.
It's definitely not related to their phone, as this also happens randomly and I don't have this issue with my local phone.
Tried several Roms (RGUI v2 and v3, Trick DROID, revolution) without a real change.
My mobile provider is 1und1 (Germany). It's not related to the signal strength.
Switching to the "external speaker" won't change anything.
Does anyone have an idea?
Cheers,
André
PS: sorry for my bad English. I'm very tired - it's almost 3am in Germany.

Hi guys I'm on my second new HTC One handset since the 19th March and I'm beginning to lose hope! During a call if I use my speakerphone the person on the other end of the line experiences a loud, intermittent, feedback/interference noise. This only happens when I'm on speakerphone. Phones4u who I got the phone off advised me to do a hard reset which I did having no effect. They've replaced the phone with a brand new handset which I've received today but it has the same problem as the first. I've called HTC tech support and the guy basically said to send it back to Phones4u and if the 3rd phone has the same issue to call them back and they'd report it to their seniors. Is there anything I can do? Has anyone else experienced this problem? Any advice is greatly appreciated! Thanks.
I had a very similar problem with the static type noise when on calls but mine was heard through the normal earpiece not when on loud speaker. On my second device now and still seem to get it now an then but not every call. I'm on 3 in the UK, don't know if it's something to do with the network?

I don't think it's the network, I'm on Orange and have never had an issue like this before, it's as if the phone is picking up signal interference. I've only heard of one other person with the same issue as me.
UPDATE- I have tried a few calls on speakerphone whilst using the supplied headphones and so far haven't had the same interference issue occurring. You guys will maybe have more of an idea as to why using headphones seems to make this problem go away then I do, any ideas? With me being a heavy speakerphone user this whilst not being perfect is a bit of light at the end of the tunnel for me.
Hi,
I've noticed that a clicking sound is coming from the speakers while calling. I'm not sure, but it seems like this was happening only when wifi is active.
Did anyone else experience this?
Yes, I have noticed this clicking sound when I am at home with WiFi on, not when I am away from home when WiFi is off...
I've chatted with Sony and told them about the issue. They told me the problem was unknown and more people needed to report it before it was analyzed
The clicking sound is still there, even after wiping and flashing new .253 firmware.
I really can't imagine why wifi is causing this issue, especially only during a call.
If anyone else notices this sound and is too lazy to send the phone to Sony: Create a tasker profile and simply disable wifi during calls.

Nope, sorry. I got a new Xperia Z with the same issue. So I sold the Sony for a Nexus 4....which also got the clicking sound.
Must be the hardware/router combination, or just bad luck

when i call somebody sometimes it does happen to hear my own voice upon the call is happening very often and i am getting annoyed by it ,is it cause i have it on 2g network ,also it is rooted with monxfied rom but it did happen sometimes and with original rom
phone is c6903
any solution recommended i will hear
Sometime happen to me too. It can be for some reason, speaker on of the phone the one who you calling or delay between the 2 phones so practically when you voice reach the other one you can hear a kind of echo. It's not a software related or even to the phone. I know it can be annoying so maybe you can improve the quality call on your phone settings, there can be some.

i have same issue and it happens quite often.
It's not 2G problem because it happens regardless on 3G, H+ or 4G LTE,
only way to solve that is to use headsets or reboot the device.
FYI, mine is unrooted, original rom/kernel and C6906
Hello . I am long time follower of your forums but now i decide to make an account cause I got some troubles with my Note 5 .
I have a Note 5 model n920-c (Arab Emirates) but I live in Romania .My problem is that from time to time when I make or receive a call, the in-call sound from my ear-speaker is high-pitched almost screetching(but still manageable and understandable) ....
If I put the call on speaker the sound is normal...
This is happening to me only 2-3 times a day and it seems to happen only with calls made in my network(ORANGE RO)...In every other calls(whatsapp , facebook , skype) the ear-speaker sound levels are just normal...
Just to mention I also fave HD voice active for my network calls...
Its is a network provider issues ?Is it a hardware issues?Did some of you experienced such thing on your unit?
Happy to be a part of your forum from now on ! Looking forward for answers
Not even a tought? :crying:
Same problem here. Also n920c and also on orange ro. Problem apear when i call on orange and vodafone. And another problem today: while on lte i have full signal, i can call without problems but when someone tries to call me enter the voicemail. Switching to 3g solves the problem. Switching back to lte the problem reapears. Some ideas anyone? Thanks
I bught this phone almost 3 weeks ego and I'm facing this problem.
Also video record quality f... up
There are many solution on forums, internet, youtube etc.
- Root the phone ( I dont want my warranty cancalled )
- Factory reset ( No solution )
- Disable 'ok google' ( No solution )
- Download sound abaout app ( No solutions )
- Wait for the next update ( There will be no solution for this issue why? )
I saw many people facing the same problem like me,
Its not only for mi mix2, you may face any device from xiaomi
Its very well issue and for a long long time people still complaints.
I'm just wondering if the problem with hardware?
Why only some people face with this problem why not all of them?
If I give this phone back for warranty couple of times with the same issue you guys think I can take my money back?
Is there anyone solve this and share how?
I don't understand specifically what communication problem during call means. Poor call quality? Call disconnecting? You can't hear caller? Caller can't hear you? Problem with speakerphone?

Are you on China ROM or Global?
I notice that after last upgrade on stable sound issue is gone.
Your problem description does sound more like a signal strength thing than a phone hardware issue. Even though you mentioned it as a common issue, browsing through MIUI Chinese forum I see few people complain about that. More of them are complaining about the loss of connectivity to internet from time to time in games, which I also think is not a hardware issue but the network problem.
So... I assume you are not a tech freak that flashing a lot of roms, maybe try to contact Xiaomi's after sale service for help? Also do check whether other users (using the same network service in your area) having the same issue, and if you have a spare phone, would it also reproduce the same problem?
No thats not Signal strength problem.
Thats obviously a phone problem.
My mix2 does this regularly. More than half the time.
