How to Install UltraBeam GB [Revolutionary V1.6] --READ--
So basically this is the part where you get to Install UltraBeam GB onto your device, if you're new then i'm glad you chose UltraBeam GB because It offers your device the most amazing experience!
Now then if you're not an MTD partition-er then follow the 'Normal Instructions'
If you're an MTD partition-er user, then you may proceed with the 'MTD Instructions'
--Normal Instructions--
Code:
1. Download the latest UltraBeam GB!
2. Go to recovery mode, and wipe data, cache, dalvik-cache
3. Install UltraBeam GB Revolutionary V1.6
5. Reboot device!
6. Once Installed, reboot device again!
7. Enjoy UltraBeam GB Revolutionary V1.6
8. Stay up to date, for 'System PATCHES'
--MTD Instructions--
Before proceeding, please create an .txt file in the root of your sd-card!
In this .txt you must put an MTD partition, simple one to take is MTD 150 25
Once your MTD partition has been made, rename the file to mtdpartmap.txt and there you have it!
Now follow these steps below!
Code:
1. Download these files [UltraBeam GB Revolutionary V1.6] - [Bravo Files]
2. Go to recovery mode and format these [Cache, data, system]
3. Wipe data/factory reset and then flash Bravo Recovery
5. Go to advanced, and reboot recovery!
6. Once rebooted, Install UltraBeam GB Revolutionary V1.6
7. Once Installed, flash the Bravo Boot
8. Reboot device, again once rebooted, reboot 'again'
9. Enjoy UltraBeam GB Revolutionary V1.6
10. Stay up to date for, 'System PATCHES

This one is based on nightlies and his is based on stable
also i got the JB theme to actually work and removed the bug in the status bar and also he gave me his permission
so now you tell me my friend what's the difference :laugh:

also crossbreeder reduces lag and so on, seeder in the other hand just reduces lag and thats it :/
i'd say crossbreeder is recommended for all androids

so far good and is an good app to reduce lag
I've tested crossbreeder on UltraBeam
it's also good i've flashed this in recovery and rebooted waited 5 mins and there's no lag and it's also the speed that's excellent
also activates other stuff etc... adblock and some others i will post on later

Installation Instructions:
This is a NO WIPE ROM. So just flash in Recovery wiping Caches before. If you experience any problems or FCs, do a Full Wipe!
Do a Nandroid backup before you flash my ROM!!!
Do you have Battery Drain?
If you face any kind of battery drain, this is most probably NOT a ROM-issue!!!
--> here is what you can do:
- REBOOT your device after EVERY FLASH you are doing - and you will NEVER face any unexpected Heat Up or battery drain!
- dont judge the ROM before you did not fully charge your phone after each ROM-Flash for at least 4-6 hours...this is needed to calibrate your battery!!!
- install CPU Spy from market and watch if your device is going in deep sleep mode
- use the App BetterBatteryStats (you'll find here on xda for free!) to find wakelocks and powerdraining apps
General 'Save energy tipps':
- switch to GSM mode to save battery
- deactivate wifi, gps, bluetooth when you not currently use it
- don't use any taskkillers, they are completly useless and might have negative effects on battery
- deactivate Latitude, Facebook, Twitter and any kind of 'auto-updating' widgets, if you do not really need or use them
- deactivate automatic google-sync, if you do not really need it
- dial *#9900# and deactivate 'Fast Dormancy'
- deactivate Auto Login in Google Talk App
- deactivate Update of Samsung Apps in Settings - Applications - Samsung Apps

Very good work! Finally a ROM which approximates those of SG2. About Design can be known to argue. In all previous ROM I had to flash
call-reg manually. What's up with the Sony Bravia patch on it? What I still sorely miss, is to reboot off the menu and switch to 2G/3G

After installation I didn't have any baseband anymore. I followed steps to install V1 and then V5, but it didn't work...still no baseband..

According to me i guess you need to go to a stock rooted GB Rom first
and then install it
or
as the instructions says if from another TW ics stock rom with a safe kernel.

yes you can install it if you are on a safe kernel..i recommend you to flash abyss first though then all the three wipes and flash it

Sure you can, you're even welcome to do so, the only problem i can see so far is the registration at the external page to be able to download your Rom. Disable the registration restriction for downloads or do it like many others and use hotfile, megaupload or something similar till you got your page sorted and your good to go.

Ok, now I'm confused, currently downloading without registration, but must confess on mobile.
Anyway just opened the page, clicked on request download token, typed in the captcha and clicked once more on download.
But the speed is horrible, 100kb/s.

In case your WiFi is broken, blame your bootloader try this:
Solution 1: You can simply erase the contents of /system/etc/wifi (using TotalCommander or any other full root file-manager) and then Reboot into CWM and install the new build as you did earlier.
Also, install XXDLI8 baseband and use the I9300XXDLI2-LI3 RIL that you can get using GetRIL.
Solution 2: Make a Nandroid Backup -- Download CM 10 Odin.tar (also available via UpdateMe) and flash it with Odin -- Wipe Data/Factory Reset -- Wipe Dalvik Cache -- Wipe Cache -- then go flash the latest PaRaNOiA RoM and Restore your Nandroid

I have a few suggestions. Suggestion for firstlook to rom.
- Maxthon Tablet HD default dpi must be 180 or 200. 240 too big and useless.
- Fancy Sense Clock-Weather Widget so cool but in hybrid mod (Launcher 160 dpi 8x8 modded ) Fancy Sense is useless. My suggest is HD Widgets app intstead of Fancy Sence
- Asus weather has crashed sometimes .
-Triangle away 1.95 released (changelog for other I9300 models)
-Host file must be edit. Xperia Pureness and other system app have advertise.

This rom is a port of the Orginial UltraBeam GB Revolutionary by the awesome @Stone. Cold ......... im just a noob who wanted his HTC legend to have this amazing rom too. I ported this rom over because after using @zeubea 's amazing ports (u shuld srsly check out his work) i still thought that the more safer community need a more stable smooth and fast rom which was up to date and still being worked upon...... so here u guyz go!! Ps. all credits to Stone. Cold for his work on making this rom and the people whose work contributed to his rom. So go to the original Wildfire S Rom page HERE! and thank him for his work!
Pss. READ THIS FIRST!!!!!!! ITS IMPORTANT!!!!
Due to me being completely new to all this porting and ROM making and maintaining...... a few bugs did appear during the port so i thought i'd mention em here!!!!
1. The integrated FLY-ON-MOD from the port rom doesn't work, but u can still flash it from HERE!!!! THE ORIGINAL THREAD!! :fingers-crossed:
2. The integrated CronMod Int2ext+ also didn't port over........but..... u can still flash one from recovery and it'll work like a charm!!!!!!!!!! u can find CronMod Int2ext of ur choice HERE!!!!!! :laugh:
^Both of these 2 bugs are solved ..... FlyOnMod and Cronmod Int2ext+ are integrated
3. Android Terminal Emulator sometimes wont work right after installing the rom. Just Go to the playstore .... update the app and it should run sweet and smooth now.

So basically this is the part where you get to Install UltraBeam GB onto your device, if you're new then i'm glad you chose UltraBeam GB because It offers your device the most amazing experience!

2. Go to recovery mode, and wipe data, cache, dalvik-cache
3. Install UltraBeam GB Revolutionary V1.6
5. Reboot device!
6. Once Installed, reboot device again!

8. Stay up to date, for 'System PATCHES'

GAPPS ARE ALREADY INCLUDED IN THE ROM
How to fix GPS....
1. Download the attached ZIP file named GPS Fix Files
2. Extract the .zip
3. In it there are 2 Libs with the fixed gps
4. Using Rootexplorer or any other good file explorer with root privileges copy the 2 lib files to /system/libs/hw/ ( Keep in mind that with other file explorers u might need to mount /system as RW ).
5. Overwrite any existing files
5. Restart ur device and GPS should work now..
This GPS is very primitive so for better GPS speed and lock follow the OP of this thread

I've got this on my legend and quite impressed . Except gps doesn't work.

The ROM is the best I ever seen for HTC Legend - but i need gps!
I tried several things to get gps working - so far no success!

I think I may have realized what might be the cause. Signal strength threshold, until the signal reaches 30 no azimuth or elevation data is registered hence no coordinates can be calculated.
I watched gps test display for ages and until signal reached 30 no data, it was also showing 6 satellites but only 2 had data.

Okay guyz... i went ahead and spent a good 5 hours on this bug....... unfortunately i have not come up with any success...... maybe due to this being a port and all ...... but after using multiple gps.config and other solutions pasted all over the xda site i was not able to fix the issue .... i will contact the developer and see if he can do something about it ..... if someone else knows a way to fix it ... feel free to do so and share with us ur findings..... due to exams i can not contribute alot of time here ........ atleast for now ...... sorry
One thing i have not tried is to modify the gps libraries ... which i read somewhere could solve the problem....... if someone with some expirience can copy over the gps libs from a working CM 7.2 legend rom ..... that might fix this issue ........

This is a bug due to closed source for gps libs, the master dev for CM legend Aliba was unable to fix it. As I have found with my own research and attempts to fix it it's basicly a case of if it works it works if it doesn't, well your shear out of luck.

Didn't try gps so far but my phone crashes sometimes during a call. Should I post a log next time it happens?
