You could try this...works great on my nexus.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B007G51X6C/ref=mp_s_a_4?qid=1343797977&sr=8-4
It will probably charge slow, but should get the job done.

I have one of these on order: New Trent 12000mAh External Battery
It also has a 2.1 amp port.
I have new Trent 7k , works good ,dual USB with one port 2.1amp.

I have had the 8200mAh PhoneSuit Primo Power Core since I got the original Galaxy Tab when it launched.
Very high quality product, but a bit expensive when compared to the New Trent line. I would probaly consider the New Trent products if I were in the market now.
I can verify this this one works with my Nexus 7/Vita/etc.

Zagg Sparq
I use this and absolutely love it! http://www.zagg.com/accessories/zaggsparq.php just as an fyi though you have to use the bottom usb to charge the N7. which is awesome because then I can charge my phone on the top one! And right now they are doing a promo where you get a pair of really nice headphones for free!
Not compatible with N7
Currently Amazon USA says this:
Note:
Astro3 is not compatible with Asus Tablets!!

I suspect they are referring to the Asus Transformer because they use a non standard voltage. I use an Anker Astro3 10,000mA pack and it charges the N7 just fine.

In bold on the site it says:
The ZAGGsparq is not compatible with the Nexus 7 tablet.!

You can buy two Anker packs for the price of a ZAGGsparq and still have change.

Agreed.... I too have the Anker Astro3 10000 and it works great.
Solidly built and has three separate charging points AND a switch to change one of the charging points to either 9v or 12v. This makes this charger also suitable for anyone with a ASUS Transformer TF101/201/300/700.
I use it to charge all my phones and tablets.
Here is mine.

I have the Sparq 2.0 and I would never recommend it. It does not hold a charge.it sits on my desk since it is a 2 port charger it gets some use.
I have received a Cager B030 from Dealextreme to charge my Nexus 7. However, the Nexus 7 does not charge on neither ports of the device (1 A , 2.1 A)
I can charge all other devices (S3, Note, Asus Transformer) but not Nexus 7.
What does Nexus 7 look for when charging ? isn't 2.1A enough ?
http://dx.com/p/cager-b030-12500mah...-slot-5-adapters-for-iphone-ipad-black-156842
Thanks.
ok; I found the solution here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1823377
I have:
The Gum Max : which at 10400mAh and 2.1A output charges the nexus nicely, a couple of times
and
Promini 4000 which is only 4000mAh and only puts out 1A but charges my N7 perfectly albeit only about a 70% charge. It's a really nice portable solution if you just need a little bit of extra time
http://amzn.com/B003ZBZ64Q
Been using that for a few months. Plan on using it on flight to Australia in a couple weeks. Should be good for 2+ charges. I got that one during a promotion that included a free 5000 mah. Should be enough to charge my nexus once, vita and 3ds both a couple times. Plenty of entertainment for 20 hours in the air.
Hi,
When my nexus turned up, the charger didn't work, for the last week I have been meaning to call them but have been using my galaxy nexus phone charger instead (actually its just the USB cable that is faulty not the transformer)
I have just got off the phone to Google who say I have to RMA the whole device just to get a new charger! They do not sell a charger for this device!
Is it just me or is that totally insane? I know you can buy chargers with the correct transformer etc but I should be able to purchase an OEM one
Sent from my Nexus 10 using xda app-developers app
Its true, Nexus RMA's just send you a brand new, sealed device in exchange for everything that shipped with yours. I'd do it, the replacement ships first and you'll have a new tablet.

If it's just the cable that's bad, then you an buy a standard micro USB cable for super-cheap lots of places. That's all that's in the box.

Hi everyone,
I just bought this car charger, hoping that I could get a faster charging inside my car, as it says at Amazon (and also in the pack of the product) that it works with android phones (Motorola’s ones as well).
Unfortunately, it seems it does not work with our Nexus 6.
Has anyone own the same charger and have similar troubles?
Regards.
For our phones you need a Qualcomm certified charger that charges at 2amps 18w or higher.

Thanks,
But, despite not being a certified quick charger (Qualcomm technology) any charger should work anyhow whith the phone, right? I have myself plenty of old ones that works fine with the Nexus, but this one.

I looked the product up. And it seems some people received the 10w model. And they are having issues with charging phones that require 2.0A or higher. Maybe you should look into it. They might of sent you an older model.

Read that too, but, unfortunately (or fortunately) I received the 12w model (2 12w ports)... But it doesn't work as well.

I have the charger and it works fine to charge the phone. The post that states you need a Qualcomm Quick Charge certified charger is also completely false. You only need that if you want to take advantage of the fastest charging rates possible, but other chargers certainly work just fine, and I RARELY use the charger that came with my phone to charge it.

How about a bit of clarifications... does not charge AT ALL? Or charges, but slow?
If it does not charge at all, then you need to make sure that it is actually making contact with the cig lighter plug. Does the charger have a light? If so, does the light turn on? Have you tried a different USB wire? If you've tried a different wire, and can confirm that it is getting power from your cig lighter plug, and it still doesn't charge AT ALL, then your unit is defective. End of story.
If it charges, but slow, then its working as expected.
It doesn't charge at all.
Tested again with an iPad and with a blackberry and it works normally with both. It just does not works with my Nexus 6...
BTW, my Nexus 6 works with other car charges that I have (an old Samsung one and a belkin too).
Regards.

Morning Chotech...
I own a note 5 N920I...
I would like to test it out and compare it to the charging pad that i have for Samsung at the moment.
I have 2 Note 5's and Samsung fast wireless chargers. I'd like to review a couple more wireless chargers!
I have the Note 5, and hope I would be eligible.
Just filled out form at your site, Thank you.

I have a note 5 and have been comparing wireless fast chargers to decide which one to pick up. I would love to be a reviewer of yours. Currently using a normal wireless charger and included fast charge wired one. My wireless charger is so handy but takes forever to charge my phone vs the wired fast charger.
I would love to review this item I have a note 5 and a S6
I've also filled out the app at your website
I have a Sprint Note 5 and would love to review this product. Thank you.
I would love to review this product. I have multiple wireless chargers and fast chargers to compare it with.

Just joined your review program! I'd love to try out and review the fast charger. Current phone is a T-Mobile Note 5.
I have experience being a beta tester. This sounds lovely. I am currently using the Samsung wireless charger and it would be great to offer a comparison.
I have the note 5. This is a great way to get this product out.
What's the difference between this charger and the Choetech Round Wireless charger seen here: http://www.amazon.com/Wireless-Char...=1-1&keywords=choetech+fast+wireless+charger?
I'd love to review this product as I already have the charger above (could do a review comparing the two devices etc...). I have a Note 5.
I have a new Note 5 hope I can review this charger.
I have the Note5 and believe I meet all the criteria. I have filled out the form as well.
I have a note 5 and would love to review your product!!

I am interested in trying out the new product and providing an honest review. Galaxy Note 5
I'd love to review this unit for the Note 5, applying now!
I have about a dozen or so device and chargers and would love to see how this compares with non fast wireless chargers and the ones from Samsung.
I have a Note 5 would like to be a reviewer to provide feedback.
Thanks.
Dang, just shy of the requirements better luck next time I guess.
I would love to be a reviewer! I've been wanting to try out your products.
What is a good power bank for the nexus 5x that can charge fast and hold a few charges?
I'll be camping next week and would like something for pictures and biking and hiking, and for pictures. Not in network but would like for pictures, will be running in airplane mode to save battery.
Any help would be appreciated.

Does it require USB type-C fast charging? Also, how portable do you need it to be? Very slim, pocketable, big but fits in a bag?
Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
Doesn't have to be usbc, as slim as possible, it could fit in a bag.

Well the slimmest ones are about the same dimensions as the phone but thicker, 5000mah, and are usually only 1A. So that would only get you something like 1.5 charges at a slow speed.
I would go with something like a 10000mah capacity. Those are usually 2.4A and now support Quick Charging 3.0 making it good for possible future devices. It'll also get you a good 3 whole charges at a decently fast speed. It's also still relatively pocketable especially compared to the bigger ones.
I have the older QC 2.0 version of this paired with a short 1 foot USB-A to type-C cable:
PowerCore 10000 with Quick Charge 3.0, Anker's First Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 Portable Charger, Backwards Compatible with All Versions of Qualcomm Quick Charge, For Samsung, iPhone, iPad and more
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01CZV9FUW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_00cKxbQ88GSKJ
It's on the short narrow yet thick side. I don't carry it around all the time but only when I definitely know I'll be using the phone a whole lot for videos/pictures. It's in the glove box most of the time for just in case.

I use the 10k mah xiaomi power bank. I think there is even a new version by now. I ordered it via banggood and I use a USB type a to c cable from aukey with it. I
have never managed to drain the battery within one weekend, it even lasts a full 5-day week with moderate - heavy use and I managed a full 7 days with my phone battery and the power bank. The latter of course with not so heavy use, but I was still impressed.

If you're using a type A to type C cable, it'll only charge at a 1.8A or 2.0A with 5V rate and not hit 3A mark. It might say "Charging rapidly" but actual numbers are lower than the stock charger. Basically, at 15% over 60 minutes (with the screen off and no use) you'll probably be around 70%. Stock gets you to 90%.

Used it camping for a few days, charged it up two full times, took about an hour to get to about 95%

Plain and simple but alot useful.
I am using Kingston Mobilelite Wireless G2 (I think there is G3 now)
Powerbank, SD card, USB, Wifi/LAN bridge in one.
I can stream music/video, copy files and charge at the same time.
I would recommend buying Xiaomi Powerbank 10000 mAh Pro - it's designed for USB-C devices and charges Nexus 5X really well.
