[Q]htc one m7 gold doesn't have Update option

Hey guys
My friend recently bought a Htc One m7 gold, but unfortunately I cant see any option for update the phone in Settings>>About.
I recently bought a htc one xl just like that without update option.
My htc one m7 has everything.
Guide me please.

You probably have a custom ROM installed.

It could be because of the carrier the device was made for doesn't offer OTA updates and removed the option.

Well, get the CID and model number for us, and what does it say in software info?

you can change ROM with better one from http://www.androidruu.com/?developer=M7,
but you must know your phone CID & MID before dwonload

There is no Bell RUU (4.19.666.8), only Telus (4.19.661.8) and Rogers (4.19.631.8) RUUs are available for Canadian user atm.
Btw, I think there is no Bell RUU at all (.666), only some old version nandroid backup

The only one I could find is this one but you have to be S-OFF to use it. You might try in the Verizon HTC One forum to see if someone has another one.

theres's no RUUs avaible yet and why do you want a orange one when you can unlock your device and use any network?

it's htc one m7 at&t unlocked.. it is rooted , currently version is 4.4.2 & htc sense is 5.5..*
yesterday I downloaded Rom from htc official website
under category of developers/ unlocked,,, then I went up to some stage it fails to update by bringing error 155,,,... I want to update into lollipop
please help me to choose the suitable Rom for my device according to my information above.... or other ways to solve it

you cannot use US Developer Edition RUU, unless you are s-off and do some things (for example, change CID)

if you are S-ON, then bootloader has to be relocked for RUU to work
