of course there is one way
go to system/app
delete upnxtlockscreen.apk (you should backup it, just in case)
reboot and boom, ICS lockscreen is back

Serious !!! going to try this.
What Rom did you try this on !!! on Dark lords i get the stock android JB lockscreen.
Deleting the sony lockscreen leaves you with the AOSP lockscreen. Is JB the same as ICS.

Ok i know what you mean.
They are actually still part of the framework resources in drawable-hdpi so i would imagine that's half of the battle.
There are a lot of apps that offer this, widgetlocker being one of them.

I have tried WL theme one, but it's just not as good, I would love JB screen if only it had message details, and such like the old NXT lock.
I've tried downloading older ICS roms, but none seem to available anymore

This obviously didn't work, in case anyone is still wondering. I've tried more than I can count.
The way I see it from this guide, there seems to be a different framework between ICS and JB that prevents the APK from working in JB.
If anyone is still interested, do take note that JB stock in Xperia J and Miro retains the slide-to-unlock lockscreen from ICS, but there are definitely differences also and a direct APK transfer doesn't work at all. People managed to port the JB lockscreen to J, but no one has done vice versa. Perhaps the developer who port it might be able to shed light on this issue.

Stock 4.0.4 has the "iphone" style lockscreen.
I wanted the original ICS lockscreen, so i deleted "upnxtlockscreen.apk" from system/app and now i have it, the original lockscreen from ICS (like AOSP)

I don't know what the hell its up with Google lazy or whatnot but if you look at stock ICS framework most of its still gingerbread orange
Allot of 3rd party apps like XDA, titanium backup...ect default back to stock framework for images and that's why these apps still have orange tabs..ect
well i went threw and edited all the orange to ICS blue.
So now all apps will match ICS
Works on all HDPI ICS ROMS GSM and CDMA
Update
2.15.12
new install method it will inject the new images without the need of editing the framework so now it works on all ICS roms
2.21.12
slightly adjusted brightness of the images previous were great but were slightly more vibrant compared to stock now much better.
Huge thanks to Brainmaster for this Universal Patch
First thing should always have or make a backup to fallback on just in case

Thanks for this, funny I never noticed the GB orange remnants in ICS until you pointed it out, but now it bothers me . I am using the BuglessBeast framework you posted and everything is working fine except where my carrier name is usually displayed (Sprint) it now says "Roaming Indicator Off." Perhaps it is because you used the framework for the gsm version of the nexus, as opposed to the 4G version which is what I have?

how do I use this on an odexed rom?
Sorry... you cant, it's for Odex rom only....sorry!
Don't you mean deodex? Also, do these batteries have one percent increments?
I've never flashes mods before... I just flashed and setup the new jelly bean 4.1.1 that is the ota version from this site. Can I just flash the zip thru recovery or do I need to wipe everything?
no, I mean a rom WITH odex...I don't see any odex files in the zip, and 90% of the time these are made for deodex, not odex anyway.
so my question stands....since this (like almost all mods) are made for a DEodexed rom, how do I use it on odex?

Not sure if it's a bad flash on my part or if it wasn't part of the mod, but for the simple numbers battery percentage doesn't show a '%' sign. If it wasn't part of the mod i was wondering if you could make another one with a '%'. Thanks, awesome work btw. Just wondering, is there a tutorial or something where you can teach me how I can make my own and contribute to this thread?
Holo Style MOD for Stock SMS App
Hey guys I've created a Holo themed SMS app from our stock SMS app. I found many SMS apps that were inverted but the problem with most of them was that they had removed important features like 'Soft Keyboard Style' and similar important features which is what led me to make this. This is my first MOD and my first contribution to the android world and XDA. It has all the features of stock nothing has been removed and it's themed to look like the Holo interface. Hope you guys like it. If you find any bugs then please let me know I'll try to fix them as soon as possible. Enjoy!

Full timestamps means date and everything. Sent time stamps show when the text message was sent, as there may be a delay when it was sent and when it's received.
If you and Difusal don't mind, maybe you can PM him on how he got the Sent timestamps feature?

UpdATE!!
New Theme: (View attachment MusicWidgetv2.0.1.apk)
Screenshots:
This also has the features of the first theme (including icon)
UpdATE!!(again...)
2 new Themes
1.: (View attachment MusicWidgetv3.0.1.apk)
2.: (View attachment MusicWidgetv4.0.1.apk)
Now it's getting serious:
I don't take any responsibility for loss of data or for bricking ur phone! So before installing, make a backup of the system.
Installation:
1. Backup the old 'MusicWidget.apk' located in /system/app/ into a safe folder. (Just in case, u wouldn't like the theme, so u can put the old apk back...)
2. Download the new MusicWidgetv0.0.0.apk (attached) and name it only: 'MusicWidget.apk'!!
3. Place the downloaded apk in /system/app/ from where u took the old apk and replace the old apk.
4. Reboot.
5. Add the music widget to ur homescreen. (If u had a music widget there before installing, it will be gone after the reboot...)
6. Enjoy!
7. Hit thanks.
You may upload these themes to other websites, but u HAVE TO put ME into the credits!!! Thanx 4 understanding...
Btw, u can see the difference between the old and the new theme in the screens, but heres a list anyways:
changed some buttons
made the background transparent
changed the 'no album' pic
changed the icon
and that's pretty much it....

Click to collapse
It also only works in portrait mode yet... I have to see, how to do it in landscape....
So, what will come?
landscape (I'll start making it, as soon as JellyBean comes officially)
[new icon for the 'MusicWidget.apk']-> already here
maybe some other, new themes...

and if u have ideas, just post them!
If u find bugs, please also post them, so I can fix them!

Thanks for this hint, but when I do something wrong, can it softbrick my phone like getting a bootloop or so?
You will only decode the music widget, the actual APK.. if you remove that APK it doesnt effect your phone. Worst case scenario, you get a non working APK. It is not a system file and should not brick your phone.
