Need help with right rom - Sprint HTC One (M7)

With really long threads and tons of different things going on I cant find somewhat stable good working tons. I don't want to be told what to use but could I have suggestions of what's working? I like everything like cm and pa and solo, Pac, rootbox, sense Roms. Anything

well, depends on what you like, if you like alot of customization, tranquil one would be your choice, if you like stock then there are a couple good ones here, hell they are all good as far as sense roms, the cm roms are buggy. eclipticone is a good choice too. team nocturnal has 2 good roms as well or 3, i like the black sheep rom.

I'm not really liking that everything is dark and blue. And the widgets look strange. Also it wouldn't let me do a speed test or get on xda

And you do know you can make the whole rom transparent with a button push in the tweaks (either go to settings and go to tweaks or by long pressing the settings in the dropdown

I agree, I can't get into all the inverted blacked out apps either. But if you want a stock themed rom I'm running "Stock with goodies" and I'd also recommend "OMJs Rom" both are great.

They are both great, and both have the enable back button for menu, EQS toggles in the pulldown shade and removed the power saver icon from the pulldown. Those are the 3 main reasons I wanted to root my phone.

It uses Launcher Pro.
You should be able to long press that Contacts Icon to bring up the "Edit Dock Shortcut" Pop-up window.
then,
tap "change shortcut"
then "Applications"
Then "messaging"

You cant unfortunately. The icons in the dock are part of the .png file. You can change the shortcut, but not the actual icon itself.

Gingerbread AOSP or CM7?

Hey i was wondering what do you guys think about these gb roms.
I know AOSP might have an advantage because its been out longer but CM says in the change log it fixed some AOSP bugs. Im just looking for a daily ROM something functional and I don't really care if the camera isn't fully functional, because cameras seem to be the missing piece in some new roms.
Thanks for helping!
Sent from my HERO200 using Tapatalk
I'm running the latest nightly and haven't came across any serious issues. It's about preference brother. AOSP's cookies are baked different than the nightlies.
Same product, but two different Chefs. It's just that the Nightly is from the official Cyanogen group.
Thanks for replying really appreciate it. But I think im bout to put in CM7
Sent from my HERO200 using Tapatalk
I'm running aosp's 20110307 version, which is 2.3.3 and it runs smooth. I never get any fc's, and the camera works well.

AT&T Vivid Data and Signal Icons for ICS 4.0.3 (3.26.502.5x) Theme

I was trying to look for another thread to tag this onto but couldn't find one that exactly matched my posting. Mods, if this needs to be moved, please feel free to do so.
This said and with a little bit of Photoshop, I've created new data (4G LTE, 4G, 3G) and signal bar icons to add a little bit of color to the top taskbar.
These icons are the ones from AT&T but should work for most ICS 4.0.3 (3.26.502.5x) ROM’s. Don’t forget to backup just in case. Flash in CWM.
If you like it, hit "Thanks".
Edit: By the way, don't forget to backup just in case. This was built off AT&T ICS 4.0.3 so if you have mods such as EQS, recent apps, etc., they will likely get overwritten. Many of these icons are embedded in the same files as the mods.
Wow that looks awesome... downloading now

Just a heads up, flashing this mod breaks the EQS mod. A simple reflash of EQS brings it back but no more colorful signal icons.

Hey guys,
If anyone needs additional icons created or tweaked, let me know and I'll see what I can do. I cannot promise anything but I do enjoy this type of stuff so long as people appreciate it.
Regarding EQS, it's true that this theme will overwrite the EQS settings. Between Homeslice and I, we'll come up with some alternatives.
Give us a little time to work this one out.
Edit: Attached is GSLEON3 EQS V1 themed with my icons. Credit goes to GSLEON3 for his rendition of EQS. In fact, the CWM zip script and text is even the exact same one from GSLEON3. I only added the graphics.

Interesting. I gave it another go with the same file I downloaded and it worked like a charm that time. Very clean design.
Personally I would like to see a blue design. But I think this is great. Great job, click. And by the way, I'm not sure what the EQS is.

Glad it worked out. I think the 3rd time is a charm but if you got it just after the 2nd, that's even better. By the way, EQS is Extended Quick Settings, which when flashed overwrites the data icons. I also contemplated a blue theme for the signal bars but haven't decided to theme that one yet. The blue theme idea came up after AT&T released their LTE logo, which is based upon blue and orange. Maybe down the road I'll put something together in blue at which point, I'll let folks know.

Install CyanogenMod, don't look back

I wasn't sure if I wanted CyanogenMod on the Nexus 4. I tried the stock android for a week or so and was dithering on it. Finally I decided to try CM (I've used it on all my previous Nexus devices) and I was reminded why it's just plain awesome! Within minutes I was delighting in the additional options, the extra preferences, the ability to drag down at the right to open the switch screen, all that stuff. It's pure magic.
If you're a tinkerer, I recommend it. The monthly release has been pretty stable for me so far.

I like the stock, but there were lots of things I realised after installing that I'd missed from earlier CyanogenMod versions. I like the additional customisability of it. I can see that stock makes more sense if you want a phone to work reliably with minimal tweaking. Personally, I like to be able to configure it just the way I like it, to tune and tweak the power icons, the various panels, and so on. For example, I particularly like being able to disable the search bar on the homescreen and stretch the launcher to fill the screen. But horses for courses...

mines not blue and to add to your point there, asop and aokp are based off vanilla android so then none should go in og dev then
Cause really we all just modify someone elses work be it goggle, htc, Samsung (in htc's case fix some of it too)
On a side note, I always assumed original dev was for roms based on original android, as that's how I've always seen it done. But I can see the amount of original work and code that's gone into this
Sent from my HTCONE using xda app-developers app
Nope original dev was for more than stock or different from the rest i would guess. Derp rom was in lte og dev the whole time i was in that team
Sent from a Tweaked Out HTC ONE
Derp One will be moved to original development soon enough. Everyone just started so the similarities to stock are still there. Bad seed does a lot behind the scenes so don't underestimate the original work done on that rom.
Also, there are plenty of aosp roms for the lte that were in the "stock" development forum. Honestly if you don't feel it belongs there, pm a mod, don't start any drama

mines not blue and to add to your point there, asop and aokp are based off vanilla android so then none should go in og dev then
Cause really we all just modify someone elses work be it goggle, htc, Samsung (in htc's case fix some of it too)

I never understood the switch to a split dev forum to begin with, but I kind of got the idea that Original was for stuff not based on what the phone shipped with.

Cm1O is my new fav thanks guys
I wish ROMs that offered ugly themes provided a way to flash back to a stock Sense look. Bevel and emboss hasn't been okay to use in digital graphics in nearly a decade. Neither have solid colors with no textures.
